ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • The Soul Star - Powered by the Nethermantic Magics of Darth Voracitos amplified by the enigmatic Fell Star (which started this war on Rhen Var), The Soul Star is a mechanism of insidious desolation. With a hungry gluttony, this weapon tears open the veil of reality into the depths of Chaos. The tear it generates consumes the matter and life force of a target and sends it into the maddening realm of the Netherworld.
  • Weapon Grade Molecular Furnaces - While the Molecular Furnaces of the prototypical design of the Girth of Gluttony served as a self-sustaining feature for the ships own self-repairs and autonomy, the sheer magnitude of the Voracious Victory and its pinnacle weapon, required a significant upgrade to its Molecular Furnaces. This means through the use of now 3000 high powered tractor beams, the Voracious Victory is capable of ripping material apart and consuming it to fuel itself for self-repairs, or rebuilding lost droid starfighters, or simply consuming broken ships and debris into the Netherworld by feeding them into The Soul Star's grasp.
  • Shield Network - In order to maximize the protection of the vessel and allow a system by which its massive flotilla of starfighters may launch unhindered and protected by long range attack from enemy capital ships, the Voracious Victory uses two sets of shields and an intricate shield gate system for its hangars. The Secondary Shield is a Xythan Force Shield that absorbs and deflects energy based attacks back to where it came from, but allows physical objects to pass through (including space debris or high-velocity munitions). It is possible it could cause some mild drag on objects passing through, slowing them slightly due to a mild electric discharge, which is also weakened by the shields relative distance from its generator network. The Primary Shield is a deflector shield that overlaps the hull of the vessel, while each hangar acting as an independent shield gates through the Primary shield, allowing star-fighters to launch without dropping any of the shields except in their specific location. Together, the shields offer an excellent defense against all energy projectiles, that if not stopped by the Secondary Shield, will be met by the Primary deflector shield, and additionally as projectiles or debris passes through the Secondary Shield, the Primary Deflector shield will offer significant coverage. If a projectile were to get passed both shields, it would be met with meters of Quadanium steel, unlikely to damage any major components of the vessel's interior. Theoretically however, if a shot were timed correctly, a high-velocity solid projectile could be launched into a hangar bay and destroy it at the moment it launches starfighters, and cause massive damage to some of the vessels systems more easily. Such a high precision shot however, would almost certainly require some degree of precognition or extraordinary luck to conduct; additionally, an enemy starfighter could potentially cause significant damage in the same way, if it could get passed a swarm of defending starfighters, and time its entrance through the Deflector shield and into the hangar.

Strengths:
  • The Soul Star - Through the twisted magic of the dark side, The Soul Star in conjunction with the Fell Star, is fully capable of annihilating any targeted mass by means of rending it from the material plane and damning it to the Netherworld. This consumption takes time to complete, meaning even surviving targets (should the process be interrupted), shall have a lasting reminder of its wrath.
  • Weapon Grade Molecular Furnaces - As if The Soul Star was not terrible enough, an old technological superweapon from a time before the Dark Age, has been revived. Through the use of powerful tractor beams, the Voracious Victory is capable of slowly consuming a variety of targets to repair itself, bolster its fleets, or banish targets into the Netherworld.
  • Anchor Points - In addition to having an enviable hangar space, the Voracious Victory also has specifically designed points along its vast hull surface where four Polyps of Hunger (two top, two bottom) may dock to support its conquest without interfering with its native weapon systems.
  • Shield Network - With shield coverage extending a kilometer away from the ship's hull capable of absorbing and deflecting virtually all forms of energy, and a deflector shield that does not impeded the launching of fighters, the Voracious Victory is a ship not easily penetrated.
Weaknesses:
  • Lumbering - The sheer mass involved with the construction of the Voracious Victory, and its focus as an unassailable weapon of total destruction, means that its rather lacking in its ability to rotate effectively. Once it has plotted a course, it is difficult for it to correct itself.
  • Superweapon Fire Arc - For maximum effect, any target that The Soul Star is expected to swallow into Chaos, must be within the fire arc of the massive Nether-rift Attenuators on the front of the ship. Tractors Beams from the Molecular Furnaces across the ship are capable of transporting matter into the firing path of the Attenuation Superstructure, but it is vastly more resource efficient to point the entire ship at whatever it is intended to consume.
  • Extended Firing Period - Despite the capability to destroy an entire planetary mass by absorbing it into the Netherworld through a rift in reality, it takes time to absorb the entire mass, close to an an hour, in fact, depending on the size of the celestial body. This leaves room for potential saboteurs to interrupt the firing process. This means that even after the weapon fires, it might only succeed in devastating a portion, or half of a world. Despite this weakness, however, whatever world it fires upon, shall be irrevocably altered for the worse...

Description:

Locations of Interest
Meditation Chambers:

As the pinnacle of the Sith Empire's accomplishment and ambition, and with such a visceral focus on utilizing the force to enact its judgement upon the galaxy through the power of The Soul Star, it is no surprise that quarters specifically made for the Meditation of hundreds of Sith of varying levels of power are strewn about the entire ship. The highest ratio of Meditation Chambers to other quarters are within the two gigantic attenuation structures... where many of these Meditation Chambers are specifically tasked with harnessing the power of the dark side to better focus the violent energies which pour out of the dread artifact.

The Emperor's Throne Room:

What ship of such ostentatious power could exist without possessing some abode in which to house its undeniable progenitor? The quarters of the Emperor here are larger than life, and possesses within it its own separate portion of the Observation Deck, and also overlooks the Ritual Chamber from above, to witness the horrific power begin at the heart of the weapon itself. The Throne Room is located very near to the original central chamber of what used to be the Girth of Gluttony, as such it is roughly a little less than a kilometer away from the massive Observation Deck built specifically to observe the Devastation.

The Observation Deck:

Despite the massive risk to the structural integrity to the vessel, the destruction of celestial bodies cannot simply be observed by camera footage, or through a small pane of glass, or by the hearsay of officers who stand witness. No, it must be observed from miles away, sitting upon the Throne which commands the desolation as Judge and Executioner. There are actually two Observation Decks that combines into a gigantic circular transparent dish. The upper deck is intended to be utilized by the Emperor, to observe from the comfort of his Throne. The lower deck is intended to be used by the Ritual Chamber, for the purposes of aiming the violent energies of The Soul Star.

The Ritual Chamber:

The source of the Devastation to come, and the resting place of The Soul Star where upon its malevolent energies are agitated and released beyond the Observation Deck, to be focused by alchemized rift attenuation technology and numerous Meditation Chambers along its route of destruction.

The Hangar Bays:

Unarguably the least interesting locations within the ship aside from general quarters, maintenance rooms, life support, medical decks, and engineering decks across the ship, the massive hangar bays of the Voracious Victory occupy much of the space in the Attenuation Superstructures that are not being used specifically for the proper deployment of the Empire's Superweapon. Fielding over a 100 squadrons of fighters, within them sometimes dozens of fighters, means the space dedicated to holding all of them and their crew is rather immense. Luckily, however, many of these hangars are filled almost entirely with droid starfighters... hold overs from the original Girth of Gluttony, as well as a compliment of the Emperor's personal Shadow Droids. In many cases because of this, a number of the Hangar Bays actually double as location sites for Molecular Furnaces. In the places where droid starfighters are not the predominant resident of a given hangar bay, life-supporting systems and the usual amenities to be expected of an operational hangar can be found in sections of the ship where organic pilots are expected to be found.

History of Development

For decades Voracitos has envisioned the creation of a weapon system like no other before, impenetrable and incapable of exhaustion, eternal like nothing else was in the universe. As Emperor of the first modern Sith Empire, he used their vast resources to begin realizing this dream of his, investing in a massive battle station with a grand design in mind, hoping to live up to the great powers of old who had done the same but had failed to produce results. To ensure that he would not fall into the same trap they did, allowing their battle stations to be destroyed despite their awesome power, the Sith Emperor decided to begin the design under a more defensive design principle. The result was a prototype that was never truly finished: the Girth of Gluttony.

Even after his initial assassination, this ship haunted the galaxy for decades. Totally self-sufficient, autonomous, capable of self-repair and replenishing its fighters, a hull so thick with armor it slowed it down, multiple redundant and novel shield systems... but totally without armament. This was in part due to his assassination halting his program, but also because the Girth of Gluttony was only ever intended to be a proof of concept.

Many years later, after the Netherworld Crisis returned Voracitos to the flesh and blood, the Sith Lord had become completely and utterly fascinated by the Netherworld, Chaos, and the various rifts that now existed in the galaxy. In an effort to increase his power and wealth beyond the point he was at before his death, Voracitos scoured the galaxy for artifacts of immense arcane power. With the assistance of his Coven of Gluttony, Voracitos had located and acquired a number of useful artifacts, among them, the Iris of Ligier and Shadow's Folly It wasn't until the Outer Rim Coalition invaded Rhen Var, however, that Voracitos had found the integral piece to a weapon of his own design far surpassing anything of his wildest dreams: the Fell Star.

After using its power to create his own dimension within Chaos, Voracitos decided it was time to combine his knowledge and research into an artifact the likes of which has never been seen before. Utilizing ancient souls collected from the Netherworld, his power amplified by the Fell Star, his control over rifts enhanced by Shadow's Folly, Voracitos alchemized the heart of his weapon with the Iris of Ligier, and fused the artifacts into The Soul Star.

Now finally in possession of a weapon worthy of his mortal dreams, he commissioned a number of upgrades to his initial prototype the Girth of Gluttony, and sought to finalize it with the Emperor's permission, and the ship construction capabilities of [member="Vanessa Vantai"], to amplify and attenuate the destructive power of The Soul Star to consume an entire planet into Chaos.

With the Voracious Victory completed, the Emperor seeks to utilize it to its full potential, and make an example of the irritant known as the Outer Rim Coalition...
