Continued Refinement

Only a few weeks ago, Dusaro and his master @Joshua DragonsFlame had a very long 'heart to heart' training session. While that had benifits and rewards of its own, Dusaro wanted to try focusing on one of the only sets of the force he seemed particularly adept at. Sensing. Feeling the force was something that came surprisingly naturally to him, after he learned how Dus honestly wonderd how he never felt it before. Empathy too proved to be relatively easy, coming naturally to him. Not to say that he could just sense the future or predict any attack, nothing so grand as all that. But it was something he found himself very capable and competent with. So after having done a bit of research, he learned of a few powers that were in the same vein that he wished to learn.

That desire was what brought him to the Library Monolith, where [member="Matsu Ike"] resided. He had been recommended to seek her out by his master Josh and so he did. As he exited his YV-929 after landing, Dusaro was a bit overwhelmed. It made him feel rather out of place, how grand and large of a scale it all was. Dus didn't relate to most of his Jedi peers at the best of times so being in a place like this that was so alive with the light, while not uncomfortable, just felt a bit awkward. Doing his best to not look to out of place, he looked around the hangar to see if anyone was around yet.

THe sounds of the library as it was all around came to life, Matsu stood in the one biodome that had been created. With a reconstruction of the massive kyber temple on Jedha itself. They had imported some crystals for it and the guardians of the Whills had even agreed to come and join them here. Some of them at least to explain about the force beforethe jedi master stood in her robes from the Qel-Droma family. She stood there in the inner robes leaving the outer layer off before she was walking. White skylar fabric that had been mended and changed to work together. Formed and fitted to her size before she looked at the small shoulder pads on them able to see it.

Her hair going down her back to her ankles and she had it turned up into almost loops there for a moment showing that her hair was massive but she set it there in tight braids finally at the end. Throughout it all were small crystal beads and silver bells to go along with the scented oils they had developed. Ground down solari crystal so the jedi could literally purify their bodies with oils and creams in the refreshers. The black boots gleamed for a moment now until she was looking across the way and walking through the halls. Murals that had been recovered, banners and all number of small jedi artifacts were on display where they could be and shown off.

Her own mind was racing and feeling the force as it pulsed throughout the station itself, from the outside it actually looked larger then expected. Using holograms and the hardlight technologies they had developed for their own training purposes to appear not as a station able to move but truly as its namesake. One of the ancient monoliths that were across the galaxy. Something big and with black metal that ddin't reflect light from the stars. Everywhere it went it appeared as a massive geometric shape showing the power and the skill that went into it. A small boost to her own skill but few things could really beat the Library.

As she passed one of the hallways, Matsu could see some fo the padawans accessing and using the different holocrons. From the neotikins that had been brought about here. THey had recovered a number of other things that the jedi used. Thanks to jedi like Sorel who had recovered a number of holocrons same as she had... same as a number of others had and she had the information here. Where they were working until the jedi master stopped and passed through one fo the memorial halls filled with artifacts from different jedi, in their own little alcoves so that you could see their history and their lores.

In the end of the hallways she was entering the hanger where the padawan was and stood there, five feet tall with a mass of black hair, pale milky white skin that showed some whiter scars all over. She wasn't afraid of the sight it gave off, the robe staying there for a moment as it obscured her tattoo's and other scars. With her neck exposed showing where she had been sliced with wire for a time, there was her gloves on over her hands until she looked forward seeing more of it now. "Welcome to the library padawan." She was curious about some fo the other things, where they were going to be able to look around and train.

Dusaro was looking fairly plain, his looks contrasting with everything around the former Merc Man to make him feel even more out of place. He was wearing a set of spacers boots along with cargopants along with a reasonably thick vest and bandana around his neck. On his right arm was a slightly out of place leather glove which coverd his arm to just a few inches past the elbow. It was also clear he was not quite human, his skin distinctly pale golden color and his hair a naturally two toned, blonde and silver mix. The clothes while not particularly Jedi like were not 'casual' and he carried himself with a sense of purpose and drive. Dusaro had a few scars of his own on his arms, pale silver lines in otherwise perfectly golden skin. None of them were major how ever, close call with a vibro-blade here, bit of shrapnel there. Nothing overly impressive.

"Aah.... Hello, Master." He said, Dusaro doing a bit of a awkward bow to the woman before him. He had never met Matsu before, but he had heard a few tales from Josh. He could tell to adegree the experince she had, not through the force but rather out of gut instinct. Even ignoring the scars he got the feeling that this was a person who had experinced much. Though that was only his gut reaction from having met many people, Dusaro did not think he was wrong. "I thank you for your time ma'am, but i gotta say... This place is a bit overwhelming." Dusaro addmitted with a bit of a sheepish look as he looked around. He had not even been inside yet. "What kind of place will we be headed to train?" He asked curiously, Dusaro not having even known about this place until a few days ago, so he was excited to learn more about it even if it was overwhelming.

Looking at him as she spome a small gleam came to her eyes, of interest and some of the better fits of intrigue that could come. "Well where we can train is all a matter of what makes you the most comfortable." She turned on her heel motioning with her hand for him to follow as the doors opened. The sight of two massive guard droids was there on the sides of the doors where they would be able to protect the entrance from the hanger. She was walking through the hallway and motioned to the side as it came out over looking two windows on either side. "We have a number of simulated environments from some of the ancient temples. We reconstruct them here and work to see how we can fix the real sites as well as try to predict the environmental effects the AI's and computers can do. So far it has gone somewhat well." She was letting him come along as the citadel on Rhen var that had been restored by the jedi order and the silver watch oversaw. Some of them there working on the walls and parts of it to create new sections or work. She stood there as the hallway entered to look at two more showing different environments. "So where would you want to learn."

The most comfortable was it? Well, he could deal with just about anywhere really. Having been raised and trained on a ship most of his life led him to be more inclined to cargo bays, but he suspected that would be a bit of a waste here. Dusaro let out a small whistle at the large guard droids, a bit surprised to see them but he approved. Most Jedi tended to see a temple as a fortress. It is filled with Jedi after all, how could it be any safer? Just the thought made him have to suppress the urge to roll his eyes. "Simulated enviroments to do all that? Intresting, good idea too. That... actaully has a lot of uses that i would like to look into." Theoretically in that case, there was very little you couldn't simulate. All sorts of ideas for training started popping into his head, but he put those aside for the moment. "Rhen var would make for a good spot." Dusaro said after a few moments thought. He had been reading about it recently and it piqued his intrest. Cold and isolated places were in general to his liking, so it was his prefrence for a number of reasons besides intrest alone.

Matsu was looking at him and she gave a nod of her head. "Rhen Var is a great place, my daughter Orihime is there with the remnants of the Silver Watch. They have been working on the world itself to improve upon it and make it while desolate but it would have ways for the jedi to get around on it. A frozen tython as it were where the jedi can find anything that they need." She brought up a small image of it showing the rebuilt citadel and a number of the works that had been going into it. All of the works themselves, all of the roads and fiit paths carved into the mountains with small outposts for droids who would be maintaining it.

The image also showed the Silver watch in their thicker robes and cloaks with lightsabers and other equipment. Before she was opening a door and leading it down into one of the biocubes that they would be able to see." Welcome to the Rhen Var simulation room. For construction and weather testing." She looked over at some of the things. "We built a scale model fo the citadel here with the crystal caves below it and a few other parts, such as the tombs we have been discovering and what we have been able to learn about them. Specifically ways to bypass the traps without risking the tombs themselves."

So it was something akin to a base hidden in a tundra then was it? It was not the most surprising idea but if it worked then it worked. "Always been partial to colder places. Help's me concentrate and keep my mind sharp." Dus commented as he looked over the image that had been brought up of the citatel that was being rebuilt. It was quite something, seeing all the roads, architexture and droids working on keeping and maintaining it. It was enough to make him curious about how other places were coming along, but he would have to wait on that. There was training to do after all.

As they headed down and he saw the biodome, he looked around the area and got a feel for it. He had seen a few of these types of things on a few planets before but not often. It was a particularly unusual sight, like something out of the history books before people had terraforming tech. "Tombs and traps seem to go hand in hand. I never signed on for any of those delving missions, i would be the first one to set off the spike trap." While that was not completly true, he was not that clumsy, he just knew his luck and it was not that good.

Hahaha she was glad he had some humor about it... better humor then his master. Joshua's jokes never seemed to really be genuine to her at least before being here in the col she could work with him to help concentrate. For now until the area was done well she had a couple more ideas. "THe cold can help you focus but doesn't mean you have to be unsafe. If there are any problems say so and we'll be able to change the environment." Matsu finished it as they were in there now, with the artificial snow swirling around and thecourtyard of the citadel itself being filled with workers and droids testing everything.

Dusaro was fairly used to not quite genuine humor. It was a fairly common thing amongst soldiers, dark humor and all that. The main diffrence was that Dus genuinely didn't take much of anything overly serious enough to where he couldn't find humor in it. "Mmm... Well, i don't plan on freezing to death that is for sure. That is ah... Not exactly the fastest way to die nor the most pleasant. Don't mind me though, if it gets to be an issue i will bring it up." Thinking about the cold made him remember some of the cold weather training he had done before. He couldn't help the grin that came up as he recalled that particular training course. He looked around at the artifical snow and courtyard, whistling at the sights in amazement at the level of detail and work that was going into it. It was rather jarring, the shift in tempatures from before. Nothing he couldn't handle, but he could feel the goosebumps forming already.

That was good, too often she had well seen others look at sim environments like this and disregard it because they werent' going to let them come to harm which was true but letting it rule your thoughts or altering how you would act wasn't a good way to go about it. Either way standing here she had some of the details good in the courtyard from the rebuilt structures to the walls with what was developed as the new tram system on the planet. A way to get over the valley's and it didn't run the danger of the storms making visibility zero and endangering you. Other parts showed where training could go on and the silver watch were standing with their thick cloaks over their robes. Black and grey with jakobeast fur and synthmeshed dream silk making them nice and warm as well as highly protective. "So where would you like to begin, we have worked to have the crystals here for sensing in the snow as well as some other things a jedi might need to try and sense."

He had always been trained in a 'push past your limits' sort of way. His mother would drive him to the point of exhaustion with some of those regiments, but he was made very early on to know the diffrence between being brave and headstrong, or being stupid. Sure it might be fine if he got extreme hypothermia here, but on a iceball where he would be in combat the 'safety net' mentality was a good way to become a ice cube. That went for a variety of examples though, not just htis particular session. He was rather fascinated in how the entire place was being set up, with the underground tram system, various courtyards and training areas, living quarters and all of it. Were he not here to train he would have just started wandering around to look at see. Not that he could really make much sense out of any of it, it just had his interest. "I was planning to focus on two more... Physically related sense powers. Shift Sense and Magnify Sense. I figure it would be better to start with magnify as in my head that sounds like it would be the better starting point. Work out how to heighten and focus what i already have before expanding into the other." Dusaro didn't know for certain that it would work better that way but it did make sense in his head for it to work like that.

Ah well then he had a plan of where to start out and what they would be able to do. She was one of the few handfuls of jedi who trained well skills like this and practiced them instead of just going for the flashy things like so many. "Generally yes, knowing how to magnify your senses is the better way to go before learning how to sense other aspects. Then once you learn to shift you can work on magnifying those senses as well. All comes back around." She was speaking and walking around to try and get him the things he needed, mostly they were going after scents he could work on and small detailed parts on the walls. She wanted him to be ble to sense and find it with his sight before well tasting wouldn't do a whole lot and touch here would only go so far.

Dusaro was he had found rather limited in what he could actually do with the force. He found himself for the most part unable to do even fairly basic things like telekenisis and force jump. He could feel the force and sense it fine, but using the force to directly influince something was always hard for him. "Mhmm, that is how i was thinking it would work. Good to know i have a sense for these things." Smell and sight would certainly work well enough for Dusaro as a starting point. Since there were people in the area, he figured he might be able to try magnify his hearing to try and identify how many people were in the area or something along those lines. He was rather excited to start, since this was the first time he had studied something in the force that he was not to put it bluntly, rather terrible at.

Matsu bowed her head as she focused on the force energies around them here and now. She was prepared for anything that might happen but motioning with her hand for the watch to go still. Almost like pale statues covered in the furs, the droids stopping so the room became still like a picture and a small grin came to her mouth. Tight lipped at first but it was full and reached her eyes. The boy was learning and needed to be able to work on it, she could teach him how to better focus later but perception was everything and important in the end. Care careful was all that came to her mind reaching out and sensing the others, to better understan what they were doing and how they were doing it to help in the training.

The bots and people ceasing their movement would certainly help initially. Confidant as he may be about his ability in this area of the force alone, concentration was always key. Closing his eyes he rolled his shoulders back a bit, muscles laxed out and mind wandering a bit as he started to focus on that feeling that was the force. It was a bit noisy in a way. Not because of the people or anything, but just because of how lightside attuned the entire place was. It was about like walking onto a planet with a very highly energized magnetic sphere, you could just feel the diffrence compared to anywhere that was normal. Relaxing into the feeling of the force and feeling it around him was something that Dusaro found came naturally to him. He found it funny in a way, the first time he learned it he genuinely wonderd 'how did i never notice this before?', as though it was something that was just supposed to be there. Not that he could just sense the future or anything special like that, he was just had a bit of natural talent for the area of study that made it come a bit faster and more naturally to him. After having 'settled down' a bit into the situation, he waited for further instruction.

She was looking and waiting, focused but relaxed in the knowledge fo the force before the padawan was allowing himself to relax. To sink deeper and deeper into the energies of the force when she started to hover above the snow to not make a sound. As the jedi master went towards one of the walls that were set up lower to a small balcony and walkway letting her get a better area. Now focus on the environment and everything around you. Start to notice the scents the small sounds that no one would ever notice as easily. She was saying it in her mind and projecting the thoughts was easy enough you just needed to focus and listen with the force over your ears at times.

Dusaro did indeed sink into the force, eyes closed for the moment, purposefully not focusing on the feelings of his body. Only one feeling poked through to his mind, the sensation of cold air. It was a bit of a amusing twsit in a way after what Dusaro had learned about himself and his ability to focus his emotions with the force, that the scene he could relax and focus most was one like this. The still serenity of the cold air, that crispness that it had to it. Plain, simple and unchanging. He let that feeling move through him as the Firrerreo opend his eyes, letting out a breath that he had been slowly drawing in since he started meditating. Dusaro's eyes wanted to focus, as he tried to pay close attention. His ears wanted to twitch and turn his head to hear those small sounds. His nose take a sniff and detect more throughly what exactly it was it had just noticed. But Dusaro denied those normal instincts of the natural body when trying to examine something.

To take it all in, without focusing on any of it. Not one sense more important then the other. To turn the head for the ears would distract the eyes. To turn the head for the eyes would throw off the ears. To try and sniff at the air would distract the ears. No one natural sense could take precedence, all in unison. It was not a concept he was not used to, but it was a hurdle that took him a few moments to push past. To let go of that natural instinct and let the force lead it. Dusaro almost surprised himself with how willing he was to let that happen, allowing a bit of a smirk to creep up on his expression for a moment at that realization before dropping the expression and continuing to focus, working to pick up those still, small things that were just beyond grasp. It would take him effort and time, but he was no stranger to that, not letting the creeping cold distract him as he seeked those things which were just past his bodies capability to reach..

Matsu was staying there, watching him, seeing what the padawan could do as she had a small grin on her face. To really work on and with the force for them. Where she wanted to see what they could do... well she wanted to push him but not yet. Manipulating some of the senses here around them for him to try and focus on it. Seeing where he might go once he was calm and able to move around with his senses enhanced like this. her voice came out soft as to not disturb his ears while she crossed her arms. "Now carefull work on moving around, it is one thing to use the force and stand still, with your mind only focused on something simple but you need to be able to move around."

The diffrence was not much at first but it was there. It was the diffrence between hearing someone talking just outside of hearing range and then being able to pick out what they were saying. It was a bit hard to grasp at first, like feeling the force itself had been. Something that was just elusive and out of reach, but certainly still there. Dusaro just had to wait and let it come to him which was honestly speaking, easier said then done. Just as he got the hang of the feeling Matsu spoke up, Dusaro nodding after a moment with his eyes open. "This will be intresting.." Dusaro remarked, trying to keep his head cool as he went to stand up. The first time his concentration broke, resulting in him sitting back down for a few moments to concentrate again before standing back up after having it going again. It seemed close but he took his time and started to put one foot forward and after severar long moments, he would be taking slow steps. This was assuming no interuptions or outside challenges with nothing to break his concentration of course. It would not take to much to mess with his mental balance at this early point.

He was doing it, slowly at first but she remembered the training and how long it took for her to work the force more like an instinct rather then something you could focus on and do. Years and years of hard work and dedication as opposed to just learning it. The jedi master remained quiet and she was following nearly completely silently as the padwan tried to walk and focus his mind. To let the force hum all around himself aiding where she could with calmness and serenity. Focus and don't trip.... that will ruin a lot of things you are able to do. She thought it before shifting her senses and watching everything around them to direct others out of the way.
