Contruum PvP

As Contruum is about to end, I'm placing this thread up to better record wins, losses, draws, and other. Contact those you were fighting to decide on the outcome, and if there are any problems, let me know and I'll discuss the fight with the OS FA

I will be disscussing results with Ferus soon. There was no clear winner, so I wouldn't be surprised if we call it a draw.
At least I got a cool new scar from it.

If leaving C wouldn't have hurt the Republic and were it not already too late I would came to help ya pal.

Next time if you need a hand I'll come if free to respond.

plus if the fight didn't end even if you weren't dominating doesn't mean you'd lose.

Trust me I wasn't overwhelming my opponent in the Tournament of the Gods last year in Round 3 but stuck with it and it was still close. I mean I lost, but it actually wouldn't have been clear until it actually happened. So unless you're wounded heavily and would lose in like the next post, I doubt you're actually losing enough for them to say they'd win.

There are a lot of what-if's, but the way the duel was moving Braith was unable to control the flow of battle (as in he was on the offense, and she on the defense and her defense isn't exactly sound). I decided it would be a loss when I realized I could discard the passive-mentality that I took with my character to try to be a better person and just say kark the Jedi way.

So... Basically you're saying screw the Republic and handing them a win they didn't earn?
First, I really, really, get disgusted by this sort of mentality - it is exactly the same mentality on both sides with opposing perspectives - so, yes, if you really, really, want to simplify it - yes I am giving them a "win they did not earn" for going toe-to-toe in a physical match against a master wearing ridiculous armor and holding a sword that lights things on fire, while being unable to use the force and rather young and physically less capable, and dealing with said master that was battering them with force lightning and noticing a way to ensure the lightning stopped and also give themselves control over the battle.

Am I saying screw the Republic? No. But if you're going to deduce such from my very generalized statement, then by all means go with it. If I was able to get more posts in before the deadline there is a good chance I could have turned the battle over in my favor, but what-if's do not decide fights, duels, or anything else. This character is an NFU that was going up against a master wearing 40 KGs of alchemized steel armor, wielding the force, and still came out to this point with a clear advantage that put the battle in their favor. If you want to take away from that and stick to a "I want to win, not ever lose" mentality, go ahead and do it.

But I'm not going to stoop to that level nor am I going to be a braggart and try to claim a win that I clearly did not have.

Yeah.

Just sucks because I was expecting to be fighting with someone else when they volunteered to join the fight.

Now I have a master and a Yuuzhan Vong to fight. It is what it is, and I'll roll with it.

But if there is anyone available who may want to help me, I'd appreciate it. I'm doing my fight until it is done.

Calm down I don't think anyone was saying that. Perhaps Barrien assumed when you said kark the jedi way that you meant it like that. Though Barrien didn;t have to say it like that himself anyway. I agree with you there.

As for giving them a win, no one else said that. I think the point is that while you may not have won, its more likely to call it a draw than to give the Sith the point assuming you would have lost just because you weren't dominating.

And as Gene has stated, neither you or your opponent were KO'ed or retreated. So what the two of us just mean is its a draw unless you're absolutely certain you'd have gone down in the next post or so.
