Cor Odium: Korriban Mission (open)

No cry of pain left her lips even as nothing but the smell of burnt-flesh reached her nose. "I...can move," words were short as her tattooed-face scrunched up in pain with each, hobbling step. So ironic to match such a departure as the Sith Lord that ensnared her. Even now, she could feel his thoughts brush against her mind like a whisper against her ear.

Korr's arm around her skin was the only anchor to keeping her from being further ripped away from who she once was.

If she didn't find the Sith Lord, she would destroy herself. If she did, she would probably be destroyed. Eyes squinted as they exited the darkness of the caves, though not safe yet from the planet's influence. Scout's gaze caught a streak in the sky and her body leaned toward it, almost involuntarily.

Odium's ship.

Relief, anger, and confusion bubbled in her being. She looked to Korr. "We depart here." If she stayed by his side longer, she would be torn in two.

Korr looked from the ship and back to the woman who insisted that she could walk when she was so obviously spent. Stubborn. His lips twitched in a brief, bittersweet smile. Part admiration, part sorrow at the relentlessness in her heart. He knew the latter would drive her toward something. Something far from him.

The Force was flooding back into him now, revitalizing weakened limbs. With his senses once more alert he could feel the dark denizen lurking inside her, waiting to be unleashed.

The muscles in his jaw writhed. "You need a doctor."

She could see a mirror of her own stubbornness. "Quinn Vos," she said suddenly, a rough, scratched-up palm rested just above her own heart. She wanted him to know her name before she was dragged under.

But the seed of distrust planted from Odium was firmly rooted as she looked at the redhead, cautiously.

"No," she spoke firmly in response to the doctor. "Do you...," she grimaced again as her hip swayed against Korr. "Have bacta patch?"

"Quinn," Ryan repeated before his lips compressed to prevent another melancholic smile. He withdrew a bacta patch from a pouch on his belt and handed it to her, eyes never leaving hers.

"I won't stop you. The vengeance in your heart also lurks in mine. Just... be careful." He withdrew a second item from his belt. A comlink. "If you need to contact me, use this."

Her pride bristled. She would not need help. She took the bacta patch and prepared herself to step away without his supporting arm. She smoothed the patch over the fresh scar on her stomach before her defiant eyes re-connected with his of steel.

The Kiffar warrior hesitated but took the comm, bloodied fingertips brushed briefly against his digits. The healing powers of the bacta already began to ease her pain. "I owe you debt. I will not forget."

With a sage nod, she released herself from his grasp completely and disappeared into the rocky wilderness below.
