Strengths:
  • (+) Jack of All Trades: Designed to be fully accepting of all CEC, Silk, ICE, Rekali, Mandal Hypernautics, ArmaTech and Coronet Hypernautics upcoming line, this ship is the epitome of customizable, and it is said no two are alike, down to the owner requested paintjobs offered on each one.
Weaknesses:
  • (-) Master of None: Because of it being so open-sourced, it comes factory stocked for doing a little bit of anything, but not really being good at anything, just okay. This can be a problem for the inexperienced pilot.
Description:
The Slice Hound, or 'the Hound', is not a terribly pretty or sleek frieghter in aesthetics. But, as can be said of so many Corellian design, it has it where it counts.

For the first foray into ship building after taking over the company, Cal went with a freighter that is easily the envy of any smuggler or ne'er do well, armed and agile and plenty of room for customization. This vessel features an X2 I-S4D reactor and 400 tons of cargo lift capacity, able to hold the pilot and 3 passengers, and consumables enough for six months.

However, without an experienced pilot who knows just what after market parts to fit on the thing, it will inevitably suffer a bit as it is decidedly 'flat' in performance in stock setup, a purposeful decision by the design team of Coronet Hypernautics.

Development Thread: If Needed
Intent: A mass-produced, highly customizable freighter able to pose as civilian and hold it's own fighting.
Who Can Use This: Anyone who buys it

Couple things:
  • If you're looking for flat performance, jack-of-all-trades, put your speed and maneuverability around 5-6.
  • You'll need armament rating and defense rating. These are kinda screwy at the intersection of capital and subcapital. We're not under 2.0 (the old days) so I'm not going to go nuts trying to plot straight lines for gun count and armament rating between a Skipray blastboat and an Agave picket ships. Armament rating trumps all those details anyway. Maybe something along the lines of armament 13, defense 8 -- not enough to really make them strengths or weaknesses, but a decent reflection of what you've got going on.
  • Make sure the template you use lines up with the current template. Some of the details we used to ask for under their own fields are now things you'd put under Description.

[member="Jorus Merrill"] - Changes made for armament & defense, changed maneuverability and speed to 5. Edited it to follow the template better, dropped consumables to 6 month (Rounded figure is nicer) and the cargo capacity was up. Also added a modular hangar.

Let me know!
