This actually deals with the repercussions of the Corporate seizures. We had been working on coming to an agreement between the Republic Senate and the Corporate Alliance on what can be done to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Things got pretty hectic with both the invasions, and we decided to just wait.

But, this is more rp opportunity for the Senate xD

[member="Caius Flavian"] they first took place in the invasion of Roche actually. Then SC [member="Jack Sparrow"] asked to move it to Kashyyyk.

Concerns were the following:

• First and foremost, fair compensation for the families of employees who were casualties in the attacks and seizures, along for those who were harmed helping the evacuations.
• Fair compensation of property and goods of the facilities attacked for those companies.
• How the Republic will act towards free trade?
• What assurances can be given that such things won't happen again?

I think the republic is at a point where all this can just be hand waved, we've moved on to other things and I personally think people don't want to go back and bring this plot up anymore. I'd say it's expired

I don't hand wave things

Especially when it has consequences with more than one company on how they deal and interact with the republic now and in the future. I'd rather have it roleplayed and discussed so there is no assumptions that can be brought up later and cause escalations.

Plus, this is RP for the senate to dig their nails onto.

If you feel like dragging this up again have fun, but I won't be involved unless I'm absolutely needed. I'd much rather pour my limited time into effecting positive change for the Republic than reading page after page of griping, accusations, and arguments yet again.

I am "so so" up to date on this and, I recognize as certain "fatigue" regarding these plots in the member base but it is very much appreciated that you at the pre-invasion time listened to when we were fatigued at that time and held off.

I am not sure what will come from this and I honestly think we can point to several other factions that havent cared particular about civilians or corporate losses. But then, we are the Republic and everyone loves to RP with us and you have been sports, cudos to you!
