"It is and well you could be." She said it while looking at the girl and the saber. "THe force is a tool, it is a friend, it is a will and life. For a jedi it is many things and it can represent." She held a hand out though while looking up slightly at the girl.. a small height difference but easily handled. THe robes were being worked on and designed now with weavers, Noriko's even off to the side with another team and her smile always remained. "It is all a matter of what you want it to be and how you want to be in the galaxy. THe sith will use the force as a weapon to harm, jedi to protect, those in the middle well... they cna be simple enough with some complications. Most would say they are grey and can manage both but they are also overly emotional and the darkside feeds off of that emotion pushing them further and further down that path which is why one needs to be careful."

The young teen twirled around in a circle as she dreamed of wearing the clothes being made. Coming to a stop, Xian listened to what Noriko was saying and gave her another large smile.

"How do I become Atrisian?"

Tilting her head as she listened to what the older woman was saying, she looked confused. Allowing her to finish, she turned to see what the weavers were doing.

"I didn't know the Force was alive and had a will. Am I doing bad when I use it? As if it won't like me if I use it. What if it wants to misbehave?"

She had used the Force as a weapon before and hoped it wasn't mad at her.

"Hmmm." SHe was thinking about it and how did one become atrisian... the old fashioned way by being born that way. "Well I suppose a blood test to see if you have any DNA with one of the many families of Atrisia, they have had colonies on many worlds and it goes far and wide so you could already be Atrisian and not even know it." Then the subject of the force came up and Noriko looked at her for a moment mostly thinking about how to answer it. "I am not sure it is like that, the force has a will but it will not usually agree or disagree with you. If anything it goes for the do as you will approach and you can choose to act cruel or kind, good or bad.... but one needs to be ready and willing to accept what could come from it either way."

"Really!?!?"

Almost forgetting about the robes being prepared, the girl jumped up and down a few times before settling back onto her two feet.

"I was born on Castell, and my parents died there. It happened when I was a child, and I don't really remember them. So if they ever mentioned being Atrisian, I wouldn't know."

Chewing on her inner cheek, Xian listened to the other woman's words and nodded a little.

"It is rather confusing, Noriko. Does anybody truly understand the Force?"

"Well then we can check, it is simple enough." SHe said it and offered a smile though as the robes were done and she was changing for herself. Standing there for a moment and she would need to work on her hair.. the long ponytail was nice and all but she liked changing the style from time to time. "As for the force... yes and no.. jedi spend a lifetime studying it.. trying to understand it and there are some things that are common among those who use it and study it.. but there are also things that are unique to each person." She said it while she stood there for a moment. "It is just something that you will need to look to and when the time comes and you become one with the force again like everyone else you can take that experience to it."

"I'd like that a lot, Noriko."

As she finished speaking, the robes were finalized and presented to them. Xian wasn't sure where to put it on but watched as the other woman changed in the room. Rubbing at her chin, the girl clutched her robes to her chest.

Her dark eyes looked at Noriko as she answered one of the most important questions the teen had ever asked. Tilting her head in curiosity, she let Noriko stop talking before asking for clarification.

"What are common things?"

"Sensing, jumping, running, being able to feel the force. My family have strong memories, most of us can remember all we are taught and all that we learn or read so it allows training or teaching to be much better. Some jedi are better with illusions, some with combat, some with just mind tricks and the force. It is all about finding those special talents and fostering them to become stronger." She said it and looked at the girl walking over as she looked at her and the robes at her chest. "Get changed, we'll show them off sure enough and see about what we can teach you.... or feed you. You are just skin and bones Padawan... got to get you some meat."

"Oh..."

Listening to the answer of what all Force users likely knew, Xian didn't entirely understand what sensing was.

"Do you mean like touching, tasting, and smelling?"

Leaving off sight and hearing, she hoped Noriko would understand what she meant. When she mentioned family, Xian narrowed her eyes slightly. Sometimes it was still painful to realize she didn't have a family.

"Besides shaping the elements, what do you think I might be better at?"

Forgetting she was nervous about changing clothes a few moments ago, the girl stripped to her skivvies when Noriko told her to change. Spinning around in place to get a feel for the fabric and how it moved, she had a large smile on her face. Using some Air, she lifted the robes so they swayed next to her, just like she dreamed of when she described them.

"These are perfect. What do you want to teach me? Is there a test to do? I still need to know if I'm Atrisian or not!"

Picking up the clothes she had borrowed from Noriko, she held onto them until they would return to the other woman's ship.

"Hmm you could be good at anything but shaping elements would be something with its own skillset.. so many things you can do with the elements when you are good." She said it while standing there and she looked at the girl when she was changed. "There we go, all better now and there are plenty of things for us to do but we'll go with the test first which is easier. Just some spit in a tube for a droid and it will look it all over... maybe a strand or two of hair but a lot can be learned from all of it." She gave a nod as she backed up and looked at her. "With robes and a saber, your skills. you are starting to look like a jedi padawan and that means you will be part of the order and we are all together in this."

Nodding in understanding, her skills would have to be discovered. Other than the Shaping, that is. Since even Xian didn't know, she didn't think of an answer to the question she had just asked.

"I'm best with air and find bending water the most difficult. If I have to fight, I use fire regularly since it's so destructive."

She was rubbing her hands together as if she were getting ready to have a battle with somebody.

"Isn't spitting gross?"

Smiling at Noriko, she swayed a little with the movement of the robes.

"Thank you."

"Its a matter of perspective reall." She said it with a shrug. "Spitting to insult someone or on the ground... disgusting... spitting into a tube to get results.. or better swapping some spit with a lover... always good." She said it and laughed to herself though while she was going. THe clothing around them was still there as she was heading out and leading the way. The smaller woman making a small showing when they presented to some of the others in the temple but it wasn't big or overblown. She was looking at it and heading towards the medical labs where they could do the genetic testing that would let her see if she was Atrisian afterall or at least they could be checked out for anything that might happen.

Nodding as Noriko explained the differences in the various ways to spit, the teen started to understand being an adult. When she mentioned swapping spit with a lover, Xian giggled and shook her head.

"I don't think I'll ever have one of those, Master Noriko."

Following behind the older woman, Xian couldn't get the idea of kissing somebody out of her mind. It made her feel gross...just like spitting.

"Hmm maybe, but one never knows." She didn't go into more... one thing to shrug and say anything can happen another to encourage and make it unsafe. Noriko continued to walk as the medical wing of the temple in the tree came into view. THe large twisting branches leading up as the doors opened with a hiss. Some jedi in there and they were setting everything up. THe medical area having observation windows allowing them to see the forests of kyber below. She was moving and walked on one of the walkways going around it. The station with the biots and nurses were there while she looked at Xian. "Alright, we'll get your tested and either way might get to know more about you."

Shrugging her shoulders, what Noriko said was true. One never really could tell, but at her age, Xian had no interest in kissing anybody. Following the older woman, she looked down at the forests below and stopped in her tracks.

"Those are beautiful! Can we go down there?"

One of the techs approached after Noriko spoke to her about getting tested. She held out a vial for the girl to spit into. Wrinkling her nose, she gathered a mouthful and deposited it into the vial.

"How long will this take?"

"It shouldn't take too long... well long enough we can go and show off to you the forests of kyber." SHe said it with a wider grin on her face while the vial could be taken and tested. "We want to make sure it is handled well enough... and you have a chance to show off your saber if the large tiger that is down there comes around to scare him off." Noriko said it and standing there while she was looking at Xian she nodded to herself mostly. "But I think it will all work out and eventually you will be a model jedi.. or at least one that makes Sor-Jan jealous that he didn't train you himself... and I'll be all there hopefully... I haven't been the greatest student and no idea what I would be like as a teacher."

Skipping happily at Noriko's answer, the teen decided to try walking in a dignified manner. Throwing her shoulders back and standing straight showed signs of how she might carry herself when she grew up.

"You're joking, right? There's not a tiger there!"

Her eyes clouded over slightly as she listened to what the other woman was saying.

"Maybe being a teacher isn't for either of us. I'll still learn, though."

Letting out a sigh, Xian had started to lose faith in the Silvers but would stay with Noriko for a while longer. Their time together had only really begun a few days ago. So the girl would stay with her new friend.

"Big tiger, lots of teeth." She said it but looked at the girl. "And one never knows until they try... I certainly didn't know I was decent enough at being a jedi until they saved me." She said it and looking at Xian just remained there for the moment. "You got to take the good with the bad and sometimes adapt.. other times find what works for you." SHe was moving now and there was always the possibility of leaving the order.. or orders... She had found many sought to join all of them and go from there. "Though just because we might not be the best doesn't mean we can't be the coolest."

Letting out a giggle when Noriko described the tiger, she also shook her head in disbelief. She wouldn't believe there was one until she saw it personally. Preferably from a great distance...

"What do you mean by saved you?"

In a way maybe it was similar to Sor Jan picking her up and rescuding her from the streets. Very likely it was entirely different and Xian was about to learn something new about her friend.

"That another thing I've never been...Cool."

Smiling a little, she liked that thought and walked with Noriko.

Noriko looked at her and.... "Well that is a tale unto itself but." SHe said it and came to be near her finding a place they would be able to sit down. "My family is old, most become jedi and it has been like that for thousands of years. We have artifacts dating back to the force wars on Tython and the Je'daii... it is just something that we have always done so." She said it and looked for a moment. "So a lot of pressure to be a jedi... more importantly to be fairly strong and... well I couldn't handle it at the time. I went for the problem child style... spice, drinking other things with people. It was a few dark years before I was found. Strung out in a spice den and the jedi helped me get clean and sober. Then Master Sor-Jan trained me and this is how I have been."

Spinning now and then as they walked, the teen waited patiently as Noriko started telling her her history. Sitting down, her feet barely touched the floor, and she sat forward so she could be flat-footed on the ground. Wishing for something to drink, she started circling her fingers and shaping around them and slowly pulled a few sips of water from the air. All the while, she listened.

"How does one know if they are strong or not? If I am Atrisian, am I expected to be strong too?"

Sucking in a gasp of air, she had also been rescued by Sor-Jan. Xian gave the other woman a large and almost understanding smile.

"I didn't get into drugs or anything bad. Just stealing. That is so fun. Not here, of course..."

Glancing around, she wanted to make sure the people from the station above weren't still looking for her.
