Cross of Paths

Location: Velga, main space port, late night

Asheda stretched widely as she disembarked from her E-wing fighter, the oh so satifying sound of bones popping after a long trip from the togher side of the galaxy. The trip to Na Shadda that had been a meet up with and old friend, while trying to glean some information on the CIS had gone a little way ward the Strip Club they met in had become the forefront of a shootout over some dark Holocron.

Though unable to catch hold of it she was certain Kyrel Ren and the FOSB would be interested in such a relic, but she was still a person and needed rest, so the young Togutra had stopped by on the border world to have a short break, maybe fool around with some unlucky bar patrons before heading to Mustafa. "I supposed I could stay the night, not much chance of anything happening, and I could always lie about my trip, no point in telling them I spent the night, Kyrels lessons have made it easier to mask my emotions".

For the moment, she was wearing her usually white leotard and black jeans, looking more the part of an escort or smuggler. Besides the obvious light-saber hanging from her hilt, but she could always just pretend she was a Jedi, considering the fact she did use to be one.

Another day, another planet. After a while, all the planets had seemed to flow together now into a blur of buildings. It was a sad truth, but a spaceport was a spaceport, the landing pads and warehouses that seemed to be the same the galaxy over. Still, it wouldn't be much longer, just a few more worlds and she should be able to head out. She already missed the Jedi Temple, the quiet calm of the gardens and the libraries. It was surprising how much you missed those small things that drove you crazy while you were there.

Still, there were worst assignments, at least you knew there was always going to be a cantina somewhere on the docks. Not just a place to get a drink it was a spot where the colourful and interesting characters always seemed to congregate. There was little better than seeing the spacers all huddled around trying to outdo one another with their stories. Asaraa could sit in a corner nursing a drink for hours, just listening to them. So then...she glanced around, examining the landscape. Not too close to the docks, but not too far...there that was it, her haunt for the night.

After wandering around for a few minutes Asheda had spotted a nice little cantina, not too far away from the space port, but not so close that the constant sound of ships landing would over power any conversation that she would have with patrons. Putting on a seductive strut Asheda approached the cantina, upon opening the door getting a few lewd looks from the patrons around, it was not often the people saw a blue skinned version of her species, making Asheda a fine catch among the pick up world, though it seemed people where a bit hesitant to approach her, most likely due to the light-saber handing from her belt.

Looking around the small establishment everything seemed to be your average catina, rough dashing smuggler looking people, scared and seasoned mercs, though one particular person caught her interest. In a corner both, out of sight, but with a noticeable force present was another Togurta, not that but a Jedi as well, 'well well well, what might we have here, this could be fun'.

[member="Asaraa Vaashe"]

She wasn't sure what it was that alerted her, the feel of ice slipping down her back but Asaraa knew that something about the cantina had changed, something wasn't quite right. Her blue eyes skittered away from the storyteller, dancing out across the room as her brow furrowed in curiosity. She wasn't sure if it was a danger or not, but there was something in the bar, something unusual.

Not those men sitting by the wall, she already knew about them, the gang from the freighter that just put in. Not the smuggler by the bar, he'd been staring morosely into his drink for the past hour, but the Togruta with the lightsaber looked...a Togruta with a lightsaber. The padawan blinked turning to stare at the blue-skinned woman before raising a finger to catch the bartender's attention and pointing to the newcomer. If she didn't want to get into a fight in the middle of the floor she might at least start off being friendly.

Asheda gave a cocky but also friendly smile to the Jedi as she finally noticed her, it appears said Jedi was also wanting to act friendly, becoming the bar tender in some way, soon the bartender approached Asheda with an obvious massage in mind, “The Jedi in the corner booth wishes to see you miss". "Thank you, I'll be over there in a jiffy... hmm jiffy, odd word, anyway let’s have us some fun".

With a childlike spring in her step Asheda made her way over to the other Torguta, pulling up a chair and leaning against the table that she was currently residing at. "Well hello there, nice to see a friendly face around here, off duty catching a break? Jedi go you running around wildly do mission? hmmm".

[member="Asaraa Vaashe"]

Asaraa felt a smile curl up the edges of her lips as she watched the other Togruta stalk over from the bar, almost bouncing with energy. It certainly wasn't what she was expecting. Most force users were...less energetic in their movements. Not that it was a bad thing, at least she wasn't stalking over with anger or danger in her eyes, so that's an advantage.

"Oh well you know how it goes, they have us bouncing around all over the place, gotta keep the Jedi out of trouble otherwise who knows what we might do." Possibly throw a party and get drunk, that wasn't very Jedi-like but still...could be fun.

[member="Asheda Tyr"]

Asheda gave her a slightly laugh, it was nice people still though of her as a Jedi, but Asheda was an honest person so she would not masquerade as one, maybe just skip around the truth of being a FOSB agent though. "On of the reasons I left my order, constantly moving about, place after place, but mind you I was with 'THE JEDI ORDER' you know the new one that seriously strict and follows the code to a dealt, not really my cup of tea".

Asheda sat down, waving the bar tender over for a drink before continuing the conversation, "You know though, I was not expecting so see a Jedi at a bar, or are you with one of the grey like orders that actually allow its members to have fun"?

[member="Asaraa Vaashe"]

"Umm, well I guess...they encourage us to get drunk..or well at least go to parties. The drinking may have been a little bit of a...spur of the moment thing but it wasn't like they stopped us." A smile touched the red-skinned Togruta's at the memory. "It's not like we don't get sent around but at least they don't normally send us too far. You know, apart from now."

The Jedi twirled her drink around on her glass before she smiled at the other woman, "I know what you mean though, sometimes dancing like a puppet on a string can get...frustrating but at least it's the chance to do some good."

[member="Asheda Tyr"]

"Really your Order encourages that? hu I missed out, but I am good for now, means less people out to get my head, being solo and all, but mabye it would be nice to go to one of these parties once in a while, force knows I need it". She wondered what specific sect she belonged to, the only one that recall came to mind was either the Silver Jedi and their fancy do parties with the CIS or the 'New Jedi Order' under the Galactic Alliance banner.

Her next talk was something rather true though, constantly trying to do better did get frustrating here and there, though now with the First Order Asheda still kept some of the Jedi code at heart and wish to one day change the Imperialistic regime from the inside so dark and light could coexist together. The CIS had already shown this and the Ren being more balanced in the force then Sith were a much easy target, besides, she had already gotten in with one of the Orders most powerful master, and in a way ruled Mustafar when said Master of Ren was away. "Well nothing like a night out at the bar to somber ones frustrations, a possible toast to future peace"?

[member="Asaraa Vaashe"]

Asaraa grinned, her finger’s tightening around the handle of her mug as she hefted it into the air, tapping it against Asheda’s glass. The clink echoed around the room as she grinned brightly at the man, nodding her head at the table, at the seat across from her. “See, now that’s something I can get behind,” she allowed. “Peace prosperity and plenty of chance encounters in the places you’d never expect it.”

She wasn’t getting a danger vibe from the woman sitting across from her, not the kind she’d normally et when faced with a dark Jedi or a Sith. Instead, there was something else, almost an element of curiosity. She was curious about what brought such an open and happy-seeming woman to the First Order. However, she didn’t just want to pry into her affairs, the red-skinned Togruta took a sip of her drink as she observed the woman over the rim of her drink. “How likely do you think that is?”

[member="Asheda Tyr"]

The two glasses chinked against one another with a sound that though quite was quite distinct, a high pitch that rang through out the cantina, a happy air surrounding the two, until the Red skinned Torugta opened up with a question, one that was rather hard to answer. Asheda placed her drink down, putting her hand to chin as she though about the question at hand, how possible was it? and if so, could it last. "The problem I see is that Sith, their whole ideology is about gaining power, but such thing requires someone to lose in order to gain and with an order like that around peace can not come ture, not matter how denevolient such a Sith order can be, their whole life style just can never bring peace, even if the rulled over the entire galaxy, but as I know such a thing can not happen, due to the froce needing to stay balanced, all that would happen, if the Sith took over the WHOLE galaxy would be civil war after civil war, Sith againt Sith until order was resorted.

She took a quick sip from her drink before continuing her speech, "I bealive that the Dominion had the right Idea, the new CIS seems to be going a similar route too, maybe even the Rens if they where not so fanatic about, well that ever their deal is". "Also maybe less so strict Jedi orders, the ones that teach their student to never show emotion and other things that make us organics". Asheda placed her glass back down, giving [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] a sly smile "It is possible, yes, but a hard road to under take unfortunately, something I do not see happening anything soon".

Asaraa tilted her head to the side as the blue-skinned Togruta spoke, her head nodding slowly along with her. "It's a fundamental problem, isn't it? taking vs...well I don't know guiding?" The Padawan's brow wrinkled as she tried to put her thoughts into words. "You're right, the Sith just want to take power, to become as powerful as they can, but to them, it only flows one way. I have all the power while you have none, but what they don't understand is it works both ways, if you take all the power, if you hold it all tightly in your hands then people will want to take it, or will eventually rise up against the oppressor."

The girl sighed, taking another sip of her drink, "But if you don't hold onto any of the power then you can't get anything done. I'm not saying a Jedi, or any force user should naturally be in command but some kind of clear system is important. Just...not one which relies on might. I'm strong so I'm in charge...I hoped we'd grow past that when we reached space. People have so many places to go that you need to make them want to follow you, not demand their obedience." She slowly traced her fingers through the condensation on the side of her glass before looking up. "Does that make sense?"

[member="Asheda Tyr"]

Asheda ave her a nod, it seems that what should have been a nice flirty time with a fellow Toguta came out to be a philosophical discussion about the force and said people who use it. "The Sith tend not to understand that people can only be put down so much before the rebel, even though half the problem in the Sith Empire and other government like it come from internal things, like Sith Apprentices trying to upstage their master and take power, Lords having power struggles with on another".

"But you are right, not one should have control just because they use the force, it just gives them the potential to, but I think that responsibility falls on them to use their powers correctly and gain power through normal mean, though desperate times call for desperate measures, and often enough force users are just thrown in because people think that they can sort the problem out the quickest". Asheda finished off the drink, placing the call down with a firm thud, "So in short, yes you make sense".

Asaraa looked down into her glass, smiling as she swirled the glass around, watching the waves bouncing against the glass as she nodded, turning a bright grin on the other Togruta. "I'm glad, it's unusual to find someone out here who doesn't just hate and dismiss the Jedi right off the bat," she allowed. "Mostly, people see the lightsaber and they...well they don't reach well at all. I wasn't expecting that out here but then...I guess I can see how people might react to the constant warring that we seem to keep getting them caught up in."

Sitting back in her seat the red-skinned Togruta case one of her blue eyes around the room, letting her gaze travel over the denizens of the cantina. The usual crowd you could find in here, drinking, telling ribald stories and using the opportunity to forget their lives for a few hours, pretending they could be someone else. The grizzled sp[acer who was, in reality, a baker, the cutthroat pirate who volunteered at an orphanage every day. Each of them leaking a mix of emotions and thoughts into the force that laid them bare for a trained observer. "Sometimes we can't, sometimes they can do it better than us," she allowed quietly. "If we just got out of the way you have to wonder what they'd make of the galaxy, the same struggles as us but...unamplified by the force doing small moments of heroism, small moments of villainy. I guess that's why I like coming to places like this...besides," she tipped her glass at Asheda before grinning and swallowing the rest of her drink. "You never know when you're gonna find a fun new acquaintance you can debate the nature of the universe with."

[member="Asheda Tyr"]

"I think a lot of bias about the Jedi comes from the government they are associated with, the Alliance and others as such are ripe with corruption and other problems, and some people think the Jedi support that and use if for power and that all the master are just power player and tyrannical rulers out for their own goal". Asheda put her drink to the side for the time being, wanting to stay sober for not, "though true to a minor extend such act have long been stamped out, unlike the Sith who kid themselves about being good, by pointing to two examples while in the back ground they are invading neutral planets, killing millions and taking slave to further their war machine".

She leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms as the conversion started to wind down, "Ture, but we can only influence peoples minds so much, in the end the choice is theirs, all we can do is just show them the right path and hope they take it". "Ah but enough of that, to new friends and antiquated, to be honest I was not expecting to meet another of my kind out here, let alone get into a deep debate on the galaxies force users, all honestly I just came here to drink and maybe have some 'fun' with a few wealthy patrons". She put emphasis on the 'fun' part, as well as giving a slight wink to her conversation partner.

Asaraa laughed, tilting her head towards the bartender raising one hand to catch his eye before extending two fingers to him. A smile touched her lips as he poured out two shots, sending one of the waitresses over to the table to deliver their drinks. “It is rare to find another Togruta around here, I think I might only have come across maybe one other in all my time away from home.” The young woman wrapped her fingers around one of the shot glasses, lifting it off the table as she glanced down at the liquid, swirling it around without taking a sip of it just yet.

Asaraa looked around, her blue eyes running over the cantina and it’s inhabitant before she looked back to Asheda as an amused light danced in her eyes. “Sounds like you had quite a night planned out,” she allowed with a laugh. “That fun huh, sounds like a good time.”

[member="Asheda Tyr"]

Asheda could not help but chuckle along with, thinking harder about it the chances of such a meeting happening again was very slim, so why not make the best the most out of it with a night of drinking. "Well well well, cannot say I have met many of my kind either, it’s nice to get together a relax every now and then like this", she gave the waiter a small wink and smile upon the shot glasses being presented to the two girls before looking back to her red skinned counterpart.

"Hee hee, let’s just say I have a lot of experiences coming from a former job, also, my E wing is not the roomiest place to sleep, and I would rather not spend any extra credits on a room when I can get one for free using my looks". Asheda swirled the shot glass around for a few second before quickly downing the alcoholic liquid down the hatch, a warm fuzzy feeling engulfing her sense for a moment. "You’re not into that sort of thing are you"? From what she had seen this Jedi was rather carefree and kind of out there in the galaxy, maybe not as experienced as herself, but it would not have surprised Asheda if the woman had been with a few people before.

[member="Asaraa Vaashe"]

Asaraa gave the other Togruta a wide-eyed look of surprise as she spoke, a small smile tugging at her lips as the young woman’s lips quirked up into a smile. “I bet, fighters aren’t exactly the most comfortable way to get around the galaxy, especially on those long trips.” The red-skinned Togruta reached out a digit, trailing it through the condensation on the tabletop, tracing out an abstract pattern with the water. She let her eyes flick up to the other Togruta’s face as she reached out for her shot glass, tipping it at the other woman.

“Well, I wouldn’t say that we were exactly asked to keep celibate,” Asaraa allowed with a grin as she lifted the glass to her lips feeling the liquid sliding down her throat, a warm feeling that seemed to spread through her body, her toes curling under the feeling. “But there aren’t just that many…opportunities out there when you start bouncing around so much.”

[member="Asheda Tyr"]

Asheda gave another small laugh at her comment of using a fighter for traveling, "No they are not, I should consider getting myself a small freighter or ship with a cabin of some kind. hmmm maybe take a 'friend' along with me as well during long trips you mentioned". That and carrying more equipment during missions, though preferring to be light on when out in the field, it does not do any harm to carry more equipment in case of emergencies.

The glass in Ashedas hand, moved left yo right as she sat their listening to her companion, taking the occasional sip of the bitter but sweet liquid from inside, "Hmm I can relate a bit, though I usually spend a few day in each port I visit my work does involve jumping from planet to planet, but at least I have free reign to do what I want, can imagine the Jedi allow such leeway on missions... but tell me, have you had much 'action' in your life, I am sure someone of your beauty would catch the eye of quite a few people".

[member="Asaraa Vaashe"]

Asaraa blushed ever so slightly as she glanced away for a moment before catching herself and forcing her head around to meet the other Togruta's gaze as an amused smile touched her lips. "Well, most people tend to stay away from the Jedi," she allowed finally, "And, well it's not like we're meant to be bursting out of our skins, the whole peace and tranquillity thing," she explained with a smile. "I can't say that anyone's ever really just approached me like that, one or two small illicit flings during training is all. But," a playful smile touched her lips, "something tells me you're more experienced there than I am."
