Crossing Paths with a Cat (Kitty)

The droid wavered before being halted by the force grip [member="Kitty"] had on it. It had taken a moment for Zira to actually catch up with her, stopping and panting in order to catch her breath. As she did the droid tried to fight being pulled back, only for Zira to finally recover and help yank it out of the air. It flew back and smashed into a nearby rock, damaging and destroying it in the process. Zira gave a surprised look at how much pull she and Kitty had together before realizing how badly they damaged it.​

"Might've pulled too hard..." she commented.​

 

[Kitty]

"Well I didn't really know what we were going to do with it once we caught it anyways? Do you think whoever the owner was will come looking for it to I don't know recover it or something. We might be able to stage an ambush."

Zira looked at what was left of the droid before explaining "I think not. Look." she pointed out parts of the droid. "I think this was what was planting the virus into the ground. See those tools. They were holding the virus inside before injecting it. And given the direction it was flying means whoever owns it is that way." she pointed towards there the droid had been flying before adding "Not sure how far though. For all we know they're on the other side of the planet."​

[Kitty]

"See if you weren't here I would have never noticed this kind of stuff. So what do we do? I don't have a ship. I'm suppose to call the guy that dropped me off after I'm finished but only after I'm finished. Do you have a ship or something that can take us a long ways fast?" Kitty asked [member="Zira Wi"].

Zira perked and said "Indeed I do. Come on." she took [member="Kitty"] by the hand this time and said "If we hurry we'll get there before nightfall. And hopefully we can find whoever did this before they get away." Quickly she ran back towards the village leading Kitty along before they found her ship. It was only a small one, but had enough room for the both in the cockpit. Once she figured which direction to go Zira ordered the astromech to pilot it all the way towards wherever the source of the probe droid was. It was already night by the time they were scanning fro the air.​

Kitty was dragged away by [member="Zira Wi"] to her ship. Kitty didn't like ships but only because she associated them with the horrors of hyperspace. By the time they got back in the ship it was already dark, not that it hindered Kitty in any way. She could see just as well in the dark as she could during the day. "You won't mind if I get aggressive when we find the culprit when we find them do you?" Kitty asked worried Zira's jedi training would make her disapprove.

As they flew and Zira heard [member="Kitty"] 's offer she gave an awkward "I...I suppose not." ​

Before she could ask what she had in mind they'd finally spotted it. Another ship. This one was far larger and stuck out among the rest of the area. Clearly not one of the vors ships. Zira made sure to land hers far enough away not to be spotted. After that she had Kitty follow her as they sneaked up a yard away from the parked ship and examined it. A few more probe droids were flying about, gathering and unloading things from it. More of the bio-weapon most likely.​

"That's a Gand ship." she examined and realized. "Which means....the Gand are behind this? No. Can't be. Maybe a mercenary then. No. NO mercenary would bother staying around to study results. Ah....another scientist. One who's not opposed to live testing in the field." ​

 

[Kitty]

[member="Zira Wi"] landed the ship and the two snuck up to watch what was going on. There was no doubt who ever these people were they were behind the poisoning of the meat. Zira revealed they were Gand.

As much as Kitty really did enjoy sneaking she was in the mood for a more direct approach. Jumping out from her cover Kitty began casually walking towards them her hand ready to grab her lightsaber in an instant. "Now what is going on here? Quite the operation you fellas got hope you're not polluting the environment." Kitty said enjoying every second on this.

At first Zira was thinking to herself how they should sneak around into the ship to avoid being detected but when [member="Kitty"] just up and walked over she slapped her head before groaning at the fact she just gave herself away. The droids, having spotted Kitty, looked at each other when she told them to stop what they were doing. Instead they drew weapons on her, small stun blasters or even sharp needles and snapping claws with the intent to capture and/or kill her. They beeped and snapped as they flew towards her.​

 

[Kitty]

Kitty ignited her lightsaber as the droids began to attack. Kitty was trained for this specific situation. The combat style she had been studying Shien specialized in defending against multiple opponents including ones with guns, though there was one complication. Stun shots were a bit harder to deflect then regular blaster bolts.

The first droids to go down were the ones charging right for her. Kitty's technique was pretty sloppy but she was still more than a match for these droids. She sliced the first wave of droids and deflected the couple of stun bolts headed her way. As the droids fell their annoying beeps and sounds would die out. Kitty took out the remainder of the droids but one which shot a stun bolt that got past Kitty's defenses. She cried out before falling limp on the ground unconscious.

The last droid closed in, ready to stick her with a needle likely full of the same toxic concoction they;d been using, before Zira gasped and stood. She held out her hand and the force, reaching through her, grabbed the droid and crushed it mid-air before tossing the remains aside. After that she hurried towards [member="Kitty"] and knelt down next to her. She examined her while trying to make sure she was still alive.​

"Are you alright?" she asked in a worried tone.​

Kitty woke up a minuet later with an aching body and a bit of a head ach. It was odd she was out for such a short amount of time. Perhaps the gun used to shoot her was a cheap piece of crap. [member="Zira Wi"] hovered over her asking Kitty if she was alright. "Yea just a little sore." Kitty said before standing up. "Shall visit those who are being this now?" Kitty asked.

Zira was careful to help [member="Kitty"] to her feet. She eased her into it gently, showing her affectionate care for her. Once she was up she helped to dust a little bit of dirt off of her before hearing her say to confront whoever was behind this on the ship. Looking to the Gan craft Zira nodded before dropping her bag and pulling out her training saber. She held it in one arm while supporting Kitty with the other as she helped her walk inside. No sign of any droids or Gan at first but it was clear the entire ship was like one big laboratory. Zira was all too familiar with it, mumbling to herself as she named some of the equipment and what year or make it was.​

"No wonder we haven't found them before. This entire ship as everything need to try one planet after another." ​

 

[Kitty]

"Thank you." Kitty said to [member="Zira Wi"] very grateful for her assistance. The two walked into the ship and while they saw no gands as of yet they did see a bunch of fancy sciencey equipment. "You know I don't think its a good idea for us to go to them. They probably have a trap set up for us. I mean don't you think it's strange we haven't run into any yet. I'll bet though all this fancy stuff is worth quite a bit to them. Lets make them come to us." Kitty said igniting her lightsaber and proceeding to cut up everything in the room.

Zira considered this, starting with "Well, I..." before [member="Kitty"] had already started slicing things up. She stood there dumbfounded by the sight. This was more out of her scientific love that she was a little shocked by the sight of such equipment being destroyed before her eyes. A good thing none of it was her's, or else she wouldn't have just stood there and watched. When Kitty finished Zira just looked around at the mess and gave a sall "....good work."​

It seemed to work as someone called "Hey! Who's wrecking up y laboratory!" only for the two to see a single Gand walk in, fully dressed in a breathing suit like most seen off-world. "Hold on. You're not Vors. And you're not dead either. Which means you got through my droids. What are you? Mercenaries?" ​
