The CS/BW-01 Worker Droids, otherwise known as "Claptraps", were designed by the Confederacy of Independent Systems to fill the role designated by the classification "Fifth Degree Droid". They are, simply put, exceptionally cheap to produce forms of labor and are programmed specifically to get the jobs they are assigned done, as quickly and effeciently as possible. The tasks that they are programmed to do generally revolve around construction or mining operations, though they can easily have their operating systems updated in order to fulfill additional areas of labor.
Their programming is devoid of personality, sentient thought, or even vocal capacities. They have been created with the singular purpose of working until the job is done, and then moving on to the next task.
