Character
Curiosity, one of the greatest driving forces for all sentient beings. Whether it's to know what's on the next page of a book, or know what's on the other side of the galaxy. Curiosity has propelled beings to seek answers to every question, and in turn have achieved incredible things in their search for knowledge.
Sometimes, however, to much curiosity can get someone in trouble. Milla is one such person who sometimes gets carried away by her curious nature. A nature that got her in a bit of trouble when she decided to mess with things she shouldn't have.
Planet: Kesh
Location: Currently med bay
Time: Early morning.
The last thing Milla remembered was being in a large room packed with old artifacts, artworks and other antiques. Some were on cases or hanging from walls, while others were still in storage. One in particular called to her. A round bronze colored ball with strange carvings etched into its surface. The object seemed to speak to her, drawing her in. When she touched it, a blinding flash of light engulfed her, and that's the last thing she remembered.
Milla's eyes slowly opened, only to be greeted by the bright lights of the med bay. She squinted and held up her hand to try and block it. Believing that it was still the bronze colored ball emitting it. Her mind was a foggy mess as she tried to work out exactly what was going on. After several moments she realized that it wasn't the the bronze ball emitting the light, but rather ceiling lights.
This was something she wasn't expecting. The artifact was gone, in fact the whole room was different. She glanced around and found that she was in a med bay now and not a room cluttered with antiquities. Her eyes panned down to the bed she was in and the hospital gown she was wearing. Which was strange because she didn't remember getting injured.
Her head had an unfamiliar heaviness to it, not a lot weight but just enough to know something was there. Not only that, but two spots in matching places on her head itched some. She reached up to feel what it was only to have her hand bump into something solid. Milla paused at the touch at first, then slowly began to feel the two solid objects that seemed to be attached to her head.
The young girl rolled out of bed, her legs almost giving out as she did. Once steadied, she moved over towards a mirror to see what was going on. The sight of her reflection made her freeze in place. Perched on top of her head, a few inches back from her brows, were a small set of horn. They were about an in diameter and stuck almost three inches in length, curving back slightly towards her ears.
Shaky hands reached up to touch them just to make sure they were real. The feeling of her fingers touching the horns confirmed that they were indeed real. Her blue eyes shifted from the horns to her face. She still looked normal, other than the obvious of course, which was a plus.
Milla danced from one foot to the next anxiously as she thought about why this happened. As she did she noticed her canine teeth were slightly longer and much sharper. Stepping back from the mirror, she changed out of the hospital gown and into a pair of brown cargo pants, a black tshirt and a pair of black combat boots. Milla then darted out of the med bay with one thought in mind. She needed to find Hannah.
