Curious side effects of curiosity

Milla gave Hannah one last look before heading over to the bed and climbing up onto it. She took a second to unwind her tail from her leg so she could sit better. "So what kind of tests did they run." She was actually curious about them. That and they might answer the burning question on her mind as to why she had horns and a tail.

Cassiopeia pulled a chair close up so she could sit as she took a look at the horns, her hands in gloves. “Mostly just some blood tests. We’re running a genome sequence now. It is noted you’re human in your file.” She said absently mindedly as she touched the horns gently. “No pain?”

She asked, watching for any reaction. Once that was done. She would take the tip of [member="Milla Ordo"]’s tail in her hand. “Do you feel this?” She asked, as she gently squeezed it. If her hunch was right, the girl would have full use of the tail. An extra appendage, if you will.

They could potentially be removed but only the genetics test will tell them if they would simply grow back or not. “Can you tell me about what happened before you woke up here?”

"I am human. So werewere my parents..from what II reremember of them." She said as her blue eyes watched Cassi reached up and gently touched her horns. Milla shook her head. "No, no pain. They itched some earlier."

Milla could feel the doctors hand when she picked up the tip of her tail. The feeling was almost the same as if Cassi had grabbed her hand. She definitely felt the gentle squeeze. "Yeah, I can feel that. I even have full control over it."

Then the question came as to what she was doing before she woke up. The details were still a little foggy. "I was exploring a room filled with antiques and stuff. There was this bronze colored ball thing sitting on a shelf. The thing felt like it was calling me, not really like a voice but an urge or something. So I went to look at it. Then....I picked it up. When I did, there was this bright flash of light. That's the last thing I remember before I woke up."

Cassiopeia gave a small nod to [member="Milla Ordo"]. That made sense. Itching... That was from the sudden growth. She took a breath as she examined the tail for another moment, giving another nod to the girl. "Full control? Can you wrap it around your wrist?" She wanted to see how finely tuned the tail was to her nervous system. If she could control it well enough, it honestly would probably come in great handy for the girl in a galaxy full of dangers.

Although, Cassiopeia noted what Milla mentioned about her parents. She gave a small frown at the thought - orphaned?

She came back quickly as she listened to Milla explain what happened. An artifact called to her - that was definitely Sith something. While Cassiopeia didn't use the Force, she was Force sensitive. And at least whatever it was hadn't poisoned Milla in some attempt to turn her dark. It just... Gave her horns and a tail.

"Dr. Caranthyr, the genetics results are back." Cassi gave a nod, "I'll be back in just a few seconds, alright?" She gave the girls hand a squeeze as she stood, walking over to the computer. "Did you cut a hole in your pants for your tail?" She asked, continuing an easy conversation.

Milla gave a quick glance at her tail when Cassi asked if she could wrap it around her wrist. She gave a small nod before concentrating for a moment. Her tail responded quickly to her mental command without much thought. The end of her tail wrapped around her wrist three times. She then looked up at Cassi and gave a shy smile.

The doctor seemed quite interested in what she had to say. Even though she didn't voice her opinions when Milla gave her an answer. Milla noticed the small frown when she mentioned her parents. A frown she had seen others give her a few times before.

She watched Cassi walk away to check the results. That didn't stop her from asking Milla questions, especially about the hole she cut in her pants for her tail. "Ummm...yeah, I did. Really wasn't comfortable for my tail being down my pant leg. Hannah came up with the idea."

Hannah simply watched the interaction between Cassiopeia and [member="Milla Ordo"]. She bit her nails in worry, curiosity, before she moved over next to Milla. She stayed at the edge of the bed, giving her a friendly smile. She wanted to let her friend know she was here for her, no matter how scary.

Although, in truth, it seemed as though Milla was adjusting to it pretty well. It seemed that Hannah was more concerned than even the main doctor lady. Weird!

Cassiopeia read the report intensely. Whatever the object was had altered her genome structure - likely some form of Sith alchemy that had been left behind. Likely said Sith wanted her or his minions to look scary, and thus grew horns and tails for them. At least that was really her only reaction. Everything else in her genome looked normal. There shouldn't be any ill effects to the girl, at least from a genetic component.

"It was a good idea," she complimented as she stepped away from the computer. She slipped back into the chair. "It looks like... Whatever the object did, altered your... Genetics. What makes you, you." She said with a motherly smile, "Shouldn't be any harm. We could try to remove the horns and tail... But, from what I saw, they will just grow back."

Cassi thought for a moment. "I think, if you would like, a wiser option would be to learn how to live with both the horns and tail. It seems that you may be able to use the tail similar to a third hand, even."

So that thing altered what made her who she was. That was kind of a strange thing to think about. After all, she felt the same. Sure she didn't look the same but that must have been what Cassi was talking about. What was more, she was stuck with the tail and horns. The tail didn't sound so bad, at least now that she had a chance to try it.

"I still feel like me. Although, I don't really know anything about genetics." Learning to use what shshe had sounded like a much better option. That way she could avoid any kind of surgery, and risk the horns and tail coming back even worse. "So...who can teach me how to use them better?"
