Aye, but perhaps splitting the Sith wouldn't be as bad as it might seem.

While it most certainly is fun being the predominant force in the galaxy and ruling with an iron fist, it shouldn't be our sole focus. Our first and foremost goal is write a big ol' awesome collaborative story together. Maybe it'd be good for us to have an internal "Civil War" of sorts, showing weakness in the great war machine that is the One Sith.

The Sith'ari will be free of limits.
The Sith'ari will lead the Sith and destroy them.
The Sith'ari will raise the Sith from death and make them stronger than before.

That's the prophecy of the Sith'ari.

A power grab breaks out, new Dark Lords rise and fall one after another. Chaos ensues, and our rivals have a chance to regroup and gain strength, even attacking Sith territory at times. In a sense, the One Sith is essentially destroyed in this power grab.

However, in the end, one Sith Lord proves to be more powerful than the rest. He/she rallies the Sith, bringing them back from virtual destruction. The Sith come back stronger than ever, ready to again become the war machine that the galaxy feared more than anything else. Ready to again plunge the galaxy into a reign of terror.

Except, we're already the war machine people fear. We're already being attacked by groups that had rallied.

It's cool, but there's just no reason to do it. There's other Sith factions that normally would be purged, but they haven't been cause we're focused elsewhere.

[member="Lord Ajihad"] Just so you know, it's nonsense like that which has caused serious problems within the Sith factions on the board over the past few years. Someone thinks of themselves as Sith'ari, wants to rule it all, grabs a few buddies and proceeds to try and rip through the Sith in order to run the show. That's usually when the other Factions jump on the bandwagon, realise they've got an opportunity to tear an even bigger hole in the Sith, and go for it.

This is why our Emperor/Dark Lord is an NPC: so no single Sith rules the roost, and can't be targeted or taken down in a bid for power or glory. The nature of the One Sith brings every one of us unified under a single goal, and a single banner. That's where the strength of the Faction lies: in that we can bring a crazy amount of firepower and (OOCly) writing quality to whatever goals we set our minds to. None of this "I'm going to be Emperor, so follow me or die" nonsense.

The Sith'ari is pure delusion, not prophecy. It all hinges on the Sith turning on each other long enough that the Faction needs saving. Absent this idea of one person trying to win it all, we do pretty well for ourselves. Only thing we need saving from is ideas like that!
