Darker Than She Dreamt

The girl was right. Joon looked away, fixing on some symmetrical lights on a nearby pipe trailing across a building side into the estate. Ayra would condemn Joon for even thinking others could help. Then again, she did say part of the ruse was in having people in places you could call upon.

”True. You’re right, my place is not to challenge my Master, nor will she have time for others. Forgive me.”

She looked back.

”You will find your calling with others. And who is not to say we will need help with the Governor in future. I’ll have the perfect person to call out, right? ”

"I suppose so," she said, smiling pleasantly while internally scowling. She would need to get a different lane of questioning then. "Excuse me for my further curiosity, my lady, but why the name Justiciara? As you have said, your name comes from the project that created you, but I'm not sure where your other name comes from. Is it a last name? A title?"

The girl was being somewhat careful, but the more evasive she was... and if she could entrap her in answer, the more she was certain this girl adhered to a much different creed to the One Sith. That made her dangerous... if she could get powerful enough... maybe.

With a gentle smile, Joon brought up her hand and rested it on her chin, remembering the previous life she had.

”My project name. Justiciara Noctare. I don’t know the meaning, but it was to be the justice that comes from the night. The only true name I had.”

She started to walk to the side, hands in pockets again.

”I guess it was a title of sorts. The engineers called me Joon to make me feel more socially acceptable. Before that I was simply JN-4.”

Joon looked to her.

”Isa, can you point me in the direction of valued Sith worlds? I don’t know anywhere really. I want to see as much as I can before my Master returns, so if you could point me where to go, I would be very grateful.”

There it was. Beneath the pleasant smile she wore, she had enough to go on to label the girl as suspicious. Beyond the fact it would be interesting to see how the Imperial Remnant had cloned a Force Sensitive individual, something she had thought impossible, the girl was clearly hiding something important.

"Well I guess it would all depend on which Sith you find most important," she answered. "In One Sith space, you want to start with either Prakith, Tython, or Coruscant. Those are the centers of the Sith here, oh and Glee Anselm has the academy for acolytes on it. But historically, the Sith could be found on worlds such as Korriban, Ziost, Roon, Ciutric IV, Ruusan. Many places out in the Outer Rim near current Silver Sanctum space."

She was curious which worlds the girl might visit... and ultimately where she and her master might be based out of. The girl's answers, in her mind, meant a closer watch was needed by the Inquisitors on these two. Or perhaps she should apprehend the girl now and put her through interrogation for real.

Joon was pleased by the information gained, this was certainly beneficial if not different to what she expected. What DID she expect? She didn’t really know, but it was nice to see there were other places to focus on.

”I’m never going to Korriban again, that’s for sure,” she scoffed.

Taking her hands out of the pockets, she clamped them together.

”Isa. You’re a nice person. Thank you for your help. I know now where to go, and I will not take up more of our time standing her.”

She was content and eager to planet hop.

"As always, I am merely a servant of the Sith and wish to be of service to those who require me," she said, bowing again. If the girl was planning to travel more, she wanted to keep track of her movements. When the time came, she would need to be apprehended and processed... maybe even... perhaps in the future.

Her naivete would need to be wiped away though, or perhaps she would just need to be ended, but that would make studying how the former Remnant made a Force Sensitive individual rather difficult.

"Oh, before I forget my lady," she said, fishing around in her pockets, "the governor did ask that, if you required it, your ship be refueled and refitted. Courtesy of the Balmorra government of course. I would imagine you have traveled far and the ship might be in need of some refurbishment of supplies and such?"

Waving her hand forward, Joon nodded, a smirk on her face. She was proud of herself for this expedition.

”Of course, I would be grateful. Thank you.”

….wait….Ayra would not want the ship touched or inspected at all – she made clear it was her private vessel….

Joon froze and held up her hand.

”No refitting. Do not touch the ship except for fuel, do you understand? This is my Master’s ship and it is not to be touched.”

The clone turned back to the ship to give it a once over, it seemed to be fine. Still standing. Right behind her. Where she left it. She was getting overly paranoid about more harsh words.

Still, Ayra was the one who left her alone. What did she expect from her Apprentice, to sit and twiddle her thumbs?

"No need to get all flustered," she said, intrigued by the sudden flip of emotions. So the apprentice was making use of the Master's ship and didn't want anyone to touch it. Either the girl was off on her own, and her master wasn't to know about it yet, or she was paranoid. Perhaps a mixture of both.

"I shall have one of our droids refuel your ship then, my lady," she said, giving a bow and moving off to give out instructions. One of her probes was floating nearby, observing and waiting for her orders. As she brought up her comlink, she did give the order for the refueling droids to attach the fuel lines, but she also sent a click code to her probe droid. Pretending to be a droid to spot possible fuel leaks, no one wanted that stuff on the landing pad, it floated above the fuel lines being attached... and when the girl wasn't looking, attached an S-Thread tracking module to the hull.

Receiving a click that the module was in place, and now the girl could be tracked through hyperspace through the Holonet relays, she turned back and walked back over to the Sith apprentice.

"Do you require anything else, my lady?" she asked.

Joon ignored the woman and she made a custom sweep around the ship, just walking around the impressive craft to make sure everything was where she needed it, and nothing was broken or missing. Coming full circle, she glanced at the droids, and smiled. Technology was a marvelous thing - it could create wonders and achieve anything,

Isa approached her, and she turned to meet her beneath the craft.

”You've been helpful today, thank you on behalf of Ayra and myself. I will take those planets and travel at once.”

With a small bow, she still wasn't sure how to act when saying goodbye so she did the only thing she knew.

Raising her hand, she saluted the officer.

”Goodbye.”

With that, she was ready to go. To navigate away from the estate and to think where to go next, and what else would wait for her out there beyond the Sith boundaries.

She remained in character all the way up until the ship was departing, giving a wave at it before turning to leave the landing platform. Pulling up her comlink, she sent a message on.

"This is the First Daughter," she said quietly, walking back towards where her probe droid was floating. "I have encountered a Level Two suspicion, inform the Grand Inquisitor I will be investigating a Sith apprentice known as Joon and her master Darth Ayra... No, I have all the equipment I need... Yes, I already have a plan. Will check in at the next opportunity."

Putting her comlink away as she ended the call, her probe droid landed on her shoulder, and like a favorite pet, she patted it on the head. The young and oh so naive girl had no idea she was now being tracked, but she would be patient. That S-Thread tracker would be quite enough to follow her hyperspace jumps that she didn't even need to actively pursue her yet. She would wait, analyze the destinations of where that ship went... and then the opportune moment would present itself.
