Power before my eyes

Rellik would let Lyssara continue to watch the battle unfold instead of pestering her more. The only thing he noted was that with someone such as her, his ability to tie Sith alchemy and Magic with science would be expanded exponentionally. He already had many ideas with how together they could mold materials, artifacts and even the galaxy to their whims.

Now to watch the show as the two men clashed.

Not as effective as he had hoped. But it was enough. Kallous, under the impression that the fight had already started, used the force to call a staff to his hand while he was in motion to swing at his instructor. The training weapon flying through the air and landing in his hands only moments before it would make contact with his instructor or his weapon.

He would attempt to do the same he had done with a Sith by the name Koto Damascon only a couple weeks prior. Focusing his strength into a powerful blow meant not necessarily to hit the opponent but break through his block and open him up to a second strike, to end the fight immediately.

This was also, definitely Form V, Djem So. The two incredibly aggressive fighters were now crossing blades. Kallous hoped his performance would be sufficient to impress his instructors.

The Boy was a Sith after all.
As the staff came at the Diarch, he poured his strength in the force, into his block.

Stopping the strike dead in its tracks, hopefully leaving his opponent open for Reign’s turn at force amplified punch to the sternum.

The blow was stopped, and Kallous too the punch to the chest. He wasn’t so good at protecting himself with the force as the Darth was. But he knew how to do it. So the punch made him grunt and sent him back a short distance. But he wasn’t done quite yet.

Frankly he was surprised to have lasted this long. So he readied himself for the coming clash. So far it has been attack and counterattack. It was liable to change soon. But to what he didn’t know. So he stood ready to face down the Diarch’s coming assault.

As the younger man was sent back, Reign smiled slightly.

Stronger than he had anticipated, but still crude. A good choice for the crucible.

Reign marched forward, not the mad dash he had executed at the beginning of the fight.

Using the force to amplify his already considerable strength and speed, he executed a series of horizontal and diagonal strikes, before executing a crushing downward overhead strike.

If the young man could keep up, he’d earn the Diarch’s respect, but if he faltered, the overhead strike was meant to end the fight.

Seeing the steady, deliberate approach Kallous knew immediately what was coming. And he prepared himself for it, specifically how his Master had handled it when Kallous had attempted to use it during their duel.

Falling Avalanche was a slow, deliberate and powerful technique meant to batter the opponent into submission through overwhelming strength. And Kallous resolved to do as his master had done. Deflect, not block. The first barrage of strikes was no different than most others, and wasn’t altogether that difficult to keep up with. But then came the overhead chambering of the Diarch’s weapon, and Kallous chambered his own weapon down by his hip to meet it. He brought his saber up and around to smack the downward force off its trajectory rather than stop it. And if he was exceptionally lucky he might even find himself with an opening he could exploit.

He only hoped that his deflection would be enough to actually keep this fight from ending so decisively so soon.

He was too fast for him. Kallous had parried, and following that motion he chambered for an overhead strike of his own, ready to bring his staff down on the Diarch’s head. Only to be cracked in the side with significant force, and to be dropped to a knee as he struggled to pull in breath.

Kallous clutched his bruised side a moment before pushing himself back up onto his feet. He had lost. But he had also learned. And that was what mattered to him.

I watch the fierce fight between the two, and oddly enough, I prefer my position to theirs. All I have to do is absorb as much information as possible from their battle and make it my own. Their exchanges are quick, and both are determined to win. You can't deny their fighting spirit.

However, it's too exhausting for me. Besides, with the weighted vest, I've lost a lot of speed. I'm more focused on strategy and reflection than brute combat itself.

I place my hand under my chin it's the posture I take when I'm puzzled. They enjoy putting on a show, but I prefer a different kind of spectacle. Science is pretty fascinating too. Oh, I'm not defenseless, of course. Let's just say I'm the kind of assassin who strikes from behind to secure victory.

All's fair in winning. I don't miss a single moment of their intense match.
