Faction Darkness homework [Diarchy Faction]

I've been asked to go to a planet called Bastion, so I'm using the solar spectrum to get there, in invisible mode of course, to avoid being seen going there. This feature on my ship is really very practical, allowing me to navigate the galaxy discreetly.

I've got some homework to do, but I don't yet know what or with whom. The mere fact of having to work as part of a team makes me uncomfortable, but I'll have to deal with it, because for collective relief I'll be with several people. I really hope to live up to their expectations.

I'm getting ready to meet the Diarchy faction today, classes at the korriban academy are fun but if I can meet people it's an opportunity to make new connections. I agree that it's useful to have contacts on your datapad. It's with this in mind that I decelerate to the bastion level, I've made quite a journey to get here.

Fortunately for me, my ship has a good fuel autonomy, I start to enter the atmosphere slowly, still unseen, and I launch a radio communication in the direction of the Academy, give the password I've been given to pass through security in complete tranquillity and land at the hangar.

The Academy is not far from the Ravelin city and offers a mountain base. The place is really atypical, carved out of the rock, a veritable fortress hidden in a mountain - the view is nice too, but I don't have time to hang around and admire the scenery.

Little by little, I climb the cold stone steps and make my way to the Academy's training room. I don't even have time to put my things down, so I hope there's enough room to put my bag down. Of course, when I arrived and shut down my ship's engines, the camouflage was deactivated and the ship appeared out of nowhere. This surprised a few of my apprentices, as I like to make distinguished entrances.

With this in mind, I now enter the training room, looking left and right to see if anyone's there yet. I put my things down in a suitable place and lean against a wall, waiting for signs of activity. I slip my hands into the pockets of my student outfit to hide my usual stress.

Kallous had been on Bastion for a few days by now. He had only recently been inducted into this new order, and had since then spent his time here in the temple. Learning a new point of view, and bringing clarity to his mind and recent events.

He was now in the training room of the temple, going over his lightsaber forms, which were easily the strongest thing about him, continuing his study of Djem So while he waited for his fellow students to arrive. The communal study to begin once everyone was here.

Kallous alternated between using his lightsaber on its own, and wielding his former Master’s lightsaber in his left. The crimson blades buzzing in the air as they moved.

Kallous halted when he saw another enter the room. A woman, who appeared to be a student like him. He deactivated his saber, and linked them to his belt. Perhaps he would finally learn what was actually happening.

“Good afternoon.” He said politely in greeting to Lyssara Thrynn Lyssara Thrynn .

There are already people here, and a sith was already practicing with his lightsaber. He comes over to wish me a good afternoon, apparently a polite person. I stand up straight in front of him and give him a friendly smile.

"Hello, how are you?"

It's a more than banal phrase, but I'm not very good at conversation. I look at his lightsaber - I don't have one yet, just a poor Phrik knife. It doesn't even belong to me, it was lent to me by the Korriban Academy and has since become my own knife.

I offer him my hand as a sign of politeness, because if we're going to work together, we might as well do it right. For the moment, we're in a training room, so I've no reason to be hostile towards him. It's still too early to say. Our instructors don't seem to have arrived yet.

"My name is Lyssara, I'm new here."

Kallous Kallous

The young woman offered him a hand to shake and he took it. He’d learned in these past few days that this environment was not as cutthroat as the Sith Academy on Korriban. The concepts of duty to one’s fellows had been a strange change of pace, but one he’d quickly learned to like.

“You and me both. It’s good to meet you Lyssara.” He said earnestly.

He also noted the woman’s weapon. Unlike the usual lightsaber she had a short dagger, was she less directly confrontational? Did she lean more into the “stealth around and stab where they aren’t looking” rather than the “stab them in the face” method? He’d met one or two assassins in training while he was an Apprentice. He wondered if she was one such assassin.

“So you’re new as well. How long have you been with the Brotherhood? I’ve been inducted only days ago.”

Lyssara Thrynn Lyssara Thrynn

So we're both new, but he's particularly polite to me. A good point for him, not everyone seems to be cold and locked up afterwards you shouldn't judge people too quickly it could backfire on me, as betrayal is never far away here.

"The pleasure is all mine, it's also been a few days since I was introduced"

I've just arrived at the Academy for the first time, I'm still a little lost I haven't had time to explore everything yet, my things are still in the ship although my maid is taking care of them, hardly time to arrive I'm already asked here.

I lower my gaze and notice that he's looking at my Phirk blade. I don't have my own lightsaber yet, so I use what the Academy lent me. I'm content to employ a rather efficient and stealthy assassin style with treacherous attacks with the aim of granting myself victory.

"What are we doing? Are we still waiting for someone?"

He could tell immediately that she was used to the ways of the Sith. Much like he was. More out of habit than out of real fear of backstabbing he’d been watching everyone, his weapon never far from his hand. It was a common thing for converted sith to be this way. But the potential for betrayal and backstabbing, while never fully gone, was not as much a problem here as it was on Korriban.

At least that’s what he was told and what he had observed over the last week or so.

“Yes.” He affirmed. “We are in fact waiting for a few others. Not sure who or how many.”

Arrival of the Diarch

The Bastion was one of the Diarchs favorite places to spend his time. The aura of new students and council meetings were an actual joy to him. Each one a thing to mold and an event to set in motion. Recently Rellik had been spending a lot of time in regal events with other galactic factions and royalty. Showing the galaxy the brothers and their arrival unto the scene.

The time had come for some more calming, normal activity.
" Varis Oakertain Varis Oakertain , What are you up too my friend? I am on Bastion, currently in the library. I have word of new arrivals coming to the academy. I heard they would be training in the activities room but I am not sure who with. How about we crash. We will start with hand to hand training and we will follow up with those who wish to learn more about magic. They could get an introductory lesson on being one with the shadows.. Than we will finish the lesson with a study on Diarchy ethics and reasoning."

Varis responded with a happy demeanor. "You just want someone to beat up on!" with a boisterous laugh like a jolly old fat man. "Count me in, I will be on the way shortly. Just let me pack up my current project"

Fantastic, whoever was intended to lead this session was about to get sidelined. Rellik and Varis would be coming in to make sure these new recruits were worn down physically and mentally.

Rellik moved through the academy at an alarming speed. He wanted to beat Varis there so he could make fun of his slowness upon his arrival. Upon reaching the training centers hallway he heard talking coming from within. He could not help but to ease drop before entering. A cordial introduction between two students, both wondering where their master was. If Rellik finds out who missed their appointed teaching time he might feed him to his Adar. In fact, were there not supposed to be more students? Either way, these two will be more than enough for an evenings entertainment.

Walking into the room in a loud manner and with a big smile the Diarch announced himself to both students.
"Hello class! I believe something is amiss within the academy. There should have been around ten of you here and an instructor. However, it appears that is not the case. Seeing as how we take these things very seriously I have come to teach personally. You might recognize me from shared events or from word around Bastion. I am Diarch Rellik, co-head of the Diarchy. It is an honor to have you within the Crucible." In a manner reserved for foreign Kings or rulers the Diarch bowed to the two students. In this case though it was more of a showmanship response than a respectful one.

"Now, we are waiting upon my personal bodyguard to arrive. Upon which we will begin hand to hand training. Until then, feel free to ask myself any questions you may have about your upcoming training and life here."

The Diarch stood confidently and proudly in front of their new students. Ready to mold the new powers of the Diarchy before his own eyes. Maybe being a teacher here is something he will invest more time in.

Since the completion of The Crucible, and the founding of the Brotherhood, Lord Reign had taken to walking the halls of the academy. He enjoyed watching his wife Darth Nocturne Darth Nocturne mold the next generation of the Diarchy.

More often than not lately, he had found himself in the library. Attempting to glean the path forward from the wisdom his father had stored away, he missed his father daily, and wondered if the great Kakus would be proud of what his sons had accomplished.

Breaking from his melancholy, he felt out the crucible. Searching for something to distract his
mind from thoughts of the future for just a moment.

As he searched, a faint smile tugged at his lips. An all too familiar presence, with some newcomers as well!
“What have you gotten up to Brother?” he asked softly to the book in front of him.

It did not take long for the Diarch to find his counterpart, in one of the activity rooms no less.

Standing quietly as his brother gave an introduction, he stepped forward as well.

“Quite the welcome brother, these two must have potential to have garnered your attention… ah, but where are my manners. Forgive me.” he said, taking a low bow.

“My name is Reign, I am the other head of this Diarchy, and it is my pleasure to welcome you to the crucible”

Kallous scarcely had time to respond to the first Diarch before the other one came in and began speaking. He turned his full attention towards the two Diarchs and listened to each one speak. One far more flamboyant and loud than the other. This was of course only and observation, and he respected both men immediately. He could sense that they were strong, even without knowing that they had built this place and this order of theirs from scratch.

Though he himself put little stock in political strength, he still knew that it took a special kind of power to bring people together under a banner like they had.

Once the second Diarch had finished speaking Kallous bowed at the waist. “It’s an honor to speak with you my lords. Forgive my surprise, I did not think the two heads of state would bother themselves with two students. I should hope we are not stealing your attention away from more important matters than we.”

Despite his polite tone, he was secretly thrilled to know that the two leaders of this clan had both come down to see some of their students. He was eager to begin learning, and having two very powerful individuals in the room, and apparently instructing them, had great promise to teach him much. If he could obtain some of their knowledge and skill, even a small Iota of it, he could begin his journey to greater power.

He was an ambitious young man, that was certain.
