Master Artificer and Sorcerer: While being locked inside the holocron, Immortus' strong connection to the Force remained, as well as his vast knowledge of Sith sorcery. As a result, the Sharuka used his holocron to enchant artifacts with the power of the Force. Additionally, once escaped, he was able to conjure a new body for himself using his extremely extensive arcane skills.
WEAKNESSES:
Practically everything, at this point. The act of rebirthing himself cost Immortus practically all of his available energy, and he remains in an extended state of physical and magical weakness as a result. His physical body feels in a near-permanent state of fatigue and he cannot call upon the Force for extended periods of time.
BIOGRAPHY (Note: Craftshop Contunuity Employed):
Darth Immortus was a legendary ancient Sith Lord, former Dark Lord of the Sith, and at the height of his power, ruler of Coruscant. He is believed to have been born on the planet Thule presumably under the birth name Hayt, the son of Darth Spawn, a powerful Sith Lord. He had a sister named Verlei, about which little is known. There is some debate over whether or not Hayt and Verlei were the biological children of Darth Spawn or simply his adopted heirs, but given their great sensitivity to the Force which can only be the result of a strong bloodline, and the fact that Spawn would have little apparent reason to lie about siring children, the general consensus is that they were most likely his biological offspring. Their mother remains unknown.
Immortus spent his adolescence on Thule under the tutelage of Sith scholars, learning the ways of the Dark Side. From the beginning, Immortus and his sister showed immense proclivity with the Force. It was Spawn's intention to turn his children into perfect instruments of war to use for his own ends. Immortus learned the ways of the Sith from his father but was later apprenticed to the legendary Sith Darth Midian, where his skills in Sith sorcery and combat were further honed to deadly efficiency.
By the time he had achieved Darth rank, Immortus' power had grown so considerable that even Darth Spawn began to fear that his son may one day threaten his own ambitions for power. When it became apparent that Immortus could no longer be kept in check effectively, Spawn plotted to kill his son. His plans were to first kill Malice Draclau, the then-Dark Lord of the Sith who was in a weakened state at the time, and use his newfound rank to have Immortus executed. However, Immortus learned of his father's plan before he could act, and headed him off on Thyferra before he could confront Draclau. After a battle, Immortus subsequently killed his own father and then defeated Malice Draclau, thereby becoming the youngest Dark Lord of the Sith at the time.
Immortus' brief reign as Dark Lord was unique in many ways. Besides being the youngest Dark Lord of the Sith at the time, his rule was also one of the shortest. His only action as Dark Lord was to purge the ranks of the Sith of those deemed too weak, inferior, or of questionable loyalty to the greater Sith cause. After this was done, Immortus abandoned the title, thus also making him one of the few Dark Lords in history to voluntarily relinquish power. This decision seems to have been partly motivated by paranoia. Shortly after becoming Dark Lord, he married his first wife [member="Cerusia Shamalain"], with whom he had one child, [member="Quietus"]. Several years later, Immortus began having an affair with his own Apprentice, Saelia Santori. He and Cerusia divorced shortly afterwards. Immortus would later remarry to Saelia, with whom he had several more children.
The power of the Sith grew so great during this time that eventually Coruscant, once the capital of the Republic, came under their control. When the Jedi attempted to retake the planet in a bloody and prolonged siege, Immortus was instrumental in its defense. For his part in staving off the Jedi attack, Immortus was named the new ruler of Coruscant. He governed the planet as an autocratic dictator, although his rule was not entirely barbarous, as he seems to have taken steps to try to court favor with the populace, in addition to having a peculiar fondness for promoting art and architectural renovation. Eventually, after many years of his rule, Coruscant was finally retaken by a new coalition of Jedi and Immortus was defeated. The Jedi deliberated on what to do with the fallen Sith Lord, wary that simply killing him may not be a permanent solution, as Immortus' abilities in Sith sorcery made his powers difficult to reckon, and he may simply return to life in a cloned body. The Jedi ultimately decided to lock his soul inside a holocron, and keep it locked away forever under the protection of their Order, so that Immortus may never return again.
Immortus' soul remained trapped inside the holocron for hundreds of years, with no possibility of escape. During this time, the Gulag Plague occurred and wiped out entire civilizations across the galaxy. Many records were affected, including the Jedi's. Immortus' holocron was lost some time during the Plague and eventually ended up in the hands of several Sharukan Jedi on Chalacta. His legend lost to time and the ravages of the Plague, the Sharuka seem to have been less vigilant than their previous Jedi forebears in caring for Immortus' holocron. Perhaps due to ignorance, they began to use his soul's Force energy to fashion Force-imbued artifacts and weapons for themselves.
His cold, dark energy stewing for hundreds of years, Immortus plotted a way to escape his magical confines and return to the realm of the living. He finally received that chance in 851 ABY when a Silver Jedi Order exploring party under [member="Cassius Droma"] made their way to Chalacta and rediscovered the lost Sharukan temple. The team found Immortus' holocron amidst the ruins, and the Silvers' head archivist [member="Zora Djo"] mistakenly activated it, allowing the spirit of Darth Immortus to escape and possess her body. Once back at the Jedi Temple on Kashyyyk, Immortus forced Zora to scour the archives and uncover the location of his belongings, taken by the Jedi after his downfall hundreds of years prior. They located Immortus' lightsaber at an abandoned storage facility on Dantooine, and journeyed there at the spirit's behest. After several hours of forced digging under the yoke of Immortus, Zora finally found the Sith's lightsaber, which contained his ancestral memories. Immortus used Zora's grip on the saber to regain his genetic memory of his past, and then sapped her essence in the Force to create a new corporeal body for himself. Immortus then killed Zora and escaped.
His current whereabouts are unknown.
