Strengths:
Weaknesses:
(-)Sterile: Like all GenPals animals, Smollacs ™ are sterile to discourage irresponsible breeding.
(-)Proprietary: Like all GenPals animals, Smollacs ™ require GenPal brand food to remain healthy and within warranty. Due to the nature of the beastie however, this is required more as a supplement than as a primary food source.
CULTURE
Diet: Meat and a GenPals proprietary amino acid supplement.
Communication: Rare, occasional squeaks, clacks and squawks.
Technology level: N/A
Religion/Beliefs: N/A
General behavior: Unlike the first two animals in GenPal’s ‘Familiar Faces’ line, Smollaccs ™ are not cute and cuddly in a traditional manner. Made for those in the market for an interesting, low maintenance companion, Smollacc’s are not particularly sociable animals. They can learn to recognize the scent of their owner, and associate them with the one thing they truly love- feeding time- and may react with excitement, such as squeaking, waving tentacles or clacking their beak when their usual care taker is near.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
It was not a difficult order to fill. After all, they had already experimented extensively to make the original Smollaccs ™ so small, all of the data they needed on ‘failed’ steps in that process was right there and ready to go. While the marketing team had agreed a three meter ‘tall’ sarlacc would be of no use to GenPals on the open market, it was in truth a far easier creature to manage and create. Less delicate than their smaller counterparts, with longer life spans, Cass had no hesitations in offering what was technically a genetic ‘cull’ to Ophidia. No good for their main lines, but perfectly suited to the needs of this particular customer.
