Dathomir Crystal Hunt (Ballen-Ist)

Luminara gave Ballen a one-over, and smirked. "Do you really want me to answer that question?" She teased. She slipped the crystal into a small pouch on her utility belt. Putting her hands on her hips, she scanned their surroundings. "Might as well get something to eat. Then we can hunt down a second crystal for you."
[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Ballen-Ist's head would shake from side to side as he listened to her comments. His eyes would shift slowly to the side, watching [member="Luminara Rikanati"] as she deposited her crystal, and put her hands on her hips. A thin smile would appear on his face as his necked crane slightly, to look at the pale Twi'lek.

As if addressing a child, the pureblood's youthful voice would speak, "Silly girl, why would I have any interest in shiny jewelry?" Pausing for a moment, he would continue to speak afterwards, "Though I am up for eating something." Once again, the Sith would hesitate, realizing that they were on Dathomir. There was no way in hell that he would even touch their cuisine. "...Somewhere else."

Luminara chuckled. "Awww, is the fearless Pureblood afraid of strange food? I never thought of you as a picky eater." Her taunting voice retorted. She walked over to him, grinning playfully.
[member="Ballen-Ist"]

"All choices should be made wisely," the boy spoke, aiming to sound somewhat wise. His eyes would trail up and down her form, as she approached. "I am picky in all my decisions, especially my women," He would remark, putting a slight emphasis on his last comment. With the same playful, though smug grin, Ballen-Ist would look to [member="Luminara Rikanati"]'s eyes, allowing his own to flare wildly with dark side energy.

He often liked to flaunt his power, usually when he wanted to show that he was in charge.. "Whether you like the wait or not, we'll be leaving here. Don't tell me you want to eat this disgusting food, while we could easily have a grade A meal at my own abode." He figured that he, nor Luminara deserved to eat such filth. They were far above this back water planet.

She looked right back at him, coyly playing with the end of one of her lekku. "I guess you have a point. Primitive meals just have no flare." she began walking back in the direction in which they had come. She glanced back at him once. "And I must concur with your selective tendencies. I have a similar problem." She winked.
[member="Ballen-Ist"]

The young Knight would watch the Twi'lek play with her lekku as she spoke. The pureblood knew that Twi'leks actually communicated with them, though he had no idea how they did so. The youth could only smile as he watched her coy actions, before she began to walk towards the cliff. "Glad to hear it," the Sith would comment, while he shifted his booted feet across the rocky landscape. The duo would walk, until they reach the high cliff's wall, which prevented them from continuing.

Lifting his gaze to the rock wall's peak, Ballen-Ist would begin to calculate within his mind, not sure whether or not they could jump the distance. Probably. Turning to look at [member="Luminara Rikanati"], the boy would speak, "Where and what do you want to eat," sounding rather off topic.

She shrugged. "I'm open to trying anything you have in mind," Luminara replied. She too looked up at the cliff wall. She held up her hands, measuring the height with them. "Hmmm... we'll need a running start."
[member="Ballen-Ist"]

"I'll give you a boost, perhaps." The young pureblood would offer, taking a few steps back from the rocky wall. The boy's arm would lift and wave in the air, beckoning the Twi'lek over to his position. Both of his gloved hands would clasped together, as his fingers intertwined to form a sturdy footing for [member="Luminara Rikanati"]. The Sith would begin to focus and channel and his inner rage, causing a thick stream of blood-like mist to surround and rise around his dark body. His strength would be enhanced greatly as he harnessed the dark side, sending his mental state into a controlled rage. A useful technique that Ferus had passed onto him, much different that regular force rage.

Instead of going into a rampage, the boy's glowing yellow eyes would look to the female, awaiting for her to step onto his palms. When this was down, he would spring upwards, thrusting his arms in the air, hoping to use her combined jump with his strength. This would mostly likely result in her reaching the top, for the pureblood's physical attributes were increased greatly.

Luminara did exactly that. She let Ballen launch her sky-high. From the ground, her skin would make her appear more like a bird moving gracefully through the air. She used the Force to land lightly on her feet at the top of the cliff. She looked down at him with a smirk. "Will you require a hand as well?" She called.

A signal had come from the Witches of Dathomir. It was short and simple. Sith were on the planet, and the Witches were requesting Mandalorian aid in removing them. Within minutes, word had spread among soldier and bounty hunter alike. Sith, above all else, were hated in Mandalorian Territories. More importantly however, a bounty had been placed on the heads of all Sith.

Rygel Larraq had his own reasons for wanting a chance at capturing one or more Sith acolytes. And for that reason alone, a single Skira-class Battleship made its way to Dathomir with a Mandal Hypernautics logo on the side. On the bridge of said ship, Rygel Larraq sipped a cup of tea and awaited their arrival in system.

Olivia Dem'adas had heard the call for aid from Dathomir. Her hands clenched into fists at the idea of Sith infiltrating their way onto Mandalorian worlds. More importantly, her jaw clenched at the idea of them achieving whatever goal they could possibly have so far from their own boarders. For that reason, her arms were now firmly crossed over her chest as she stood aboard a Keldabe-class Battleship that was en-route to Dathomir.

She would hunt down the Sith like the filthy dogs that they were.

They would be captured.

They would be interrogated.

And then they would be executed.

These three thoughts echoed through Olivia's mind as she stared at the forward window and the brilliant lights beyond it.

From the opposite side of the valley a breeze blew gently through the grass and weeds of a nearby cliff ledge. It was quiet there and calm, a few crickets chirped merrily and here and there a bird twittered aloud. Nothing was disturbed and nothing was out of place it seemed. It was just another calm breeze moving through the plants and valley around.

Betna swapped through his vision cycles a few more times as he lay on the ground. He was completely still, moving only ever so slightly as he breathed slow and quietly. Across the valley, he had been watching the pair as they'd moved along. They seemed oblivious to their surroundings and appeared more interested in each other, if Betna had read their body language correctly. It reminded him a bit of himself and Anija to an extent, though they made sure they kept aware of their surroundings.

Especially in enemy territory.

He lined up the scope of his Muun'bevin rifle on the woman, the Twi'lek that had made it to the top ledge. It was a simple enough shot, easy to take and deliver. Betna adjusted for distance and wind, carefully checking his accuracy. The Taozin amulet he wore around his neck blurred him in the Force, making him very difficult to detect, something he was very happy to have nowadays as the Mandos seemed to only fight Force users, especially because it appeared that was what he was up against once more.

Betna finished the minute calculations needed and waited. He synced his heartbeat and breathing until they were matched. When the breathing stopped naturally between breaths and the lull between heartbeats met at the same moment, the weapon fired.

A .50 caliber, energy enveloped slug burst from the rifle and roared downrange. If it hit, it would rend limbs from bodies and turn flesh into scraps of gore.

The Skira-class Battleship dropped out of Hyperspace and the planet Dathomir dominated the forward viewscreen. "The transmission from the Witches included coordinates. Pull them up." Larraq said to his bridge crew. A few moments of activity from his junior officers caused a high-powered scan of the appropriate area, followed by a projected image on the forward holoprojector. Rygel Larraq stared at the image. There was still nothing particularly telling from this distance. "Pull us into a close orbit and prep launch craft. Today we hunt Sith."

Unfortunately, those are not the rules. You are welcome to take it up with an RPJ. But the rules listed HERE say that we have a right to protect our worlds and join a development thread that takes place on our world.

"Objectives which require you to visit a planet located within the Influence Cloud of a Major Faction may only be completed in Non-Private threads." - Tefka

Sorry hun. But you walked into Sith-Hunting territory.

Larraq continued to sip his tea as his ship became a hive of activity. Junior officers scurried about to bring the ship up to full operating levels, activate weapons and sensors, and pull the ship into a close orbit with the planet. Dozens of crews ran about in the ship's large hanger bays. Fighters, bombers, and transports were readied for combat operations. Soldiers were mustered to their stations and even more were loaded into transports that would be sent to the surface of the planet.

The Witches of Dathomir had asked for Mandalorian aid. And Mandalorian aid they would get.

It was never a dull moment in Mandalorian Clans territory. First there were the Sith - though that was inconspicuous and minuet enough not to warrant attention - and now entire squadrons of attack craft swarming the horizon. To be honest, this vixen had been all too surprised to see such being so close to the heart, but being as she was a witch and a sorceress, it didn't surprise her that darker musings culled all who would lust for its maddening power. To no surprise they were both fairly fresh as well; a Sith Lord would never think to be so reckless and unorganized.
"Idiots, leave it to them to launch a whole invasion over two tiny apprentices."
Aynea let out a sigh of relief and convoluted disdain. Time to get to work, she thought.
Finding the acolyte wasn't hard - black and white twilek, blood-red eyes and 'peanut' aura were hard to miss. Aynea was fairly familiar with the layout of these lands and her vulpine agility more than overcompensated for the distance. Never had pacing on all fours looked so elegant, a blur of seven silver-lined tails wafting behind.
"Ya know, I'm pretty sure you're not welcome here."
Her voice echoed out, source indiscernible.
"Any minute, the Mando'ade will show up and ruin my fun. So why don't you hand over those crystals to me, and you just might live through this."
A maniacal grin crossed Aynea's face as she appeared from behind the shadows, fangs erect and glistening against the light. Her eyes were like that of the Sith, and yet different.
"Don't worry, I don't bite... much."

The burst of fifty caliber shots would indeed go down range. But they would not hit their intended target.

Instead the large body of the Rancor that had been present would have moved forward enough to block the fire, tearing the Rancor asunder and blasting flesh, bone, and gore across the verdant jungle.

Revy, a Nightsister working alongside that of the One Sith, would give a snarl, appearing from the shadows upon her spider cave mount.

"It is time to leave," came her voice in broken Paecean and basic, before two vials of water of life spirit ichor would be cracked and utilized to turn the two Sith near invisible.

At the same time, two other cave spiders would in turn go forth to attack [member="Countess Xyhn"]. With the use of Nightsister spells and magic and using the death of the Rancor as a distraction, the trio would soon intend to disappear into the thick shadowy jungle of Dathomir, for few knew these lands as well as a native of Dathomir herself.

Ballen-Ist hadn't expected such a turn of events. Strangely enough, another Nightsister would make themselves present, using her magics to aid the two Sith that had been attacked. Looking up to the cliff, the Knight would begin to hop backwards, before getting a good view of [member="Luminara Rikanati"]. As the two spider creatures surged forward with their attack, the pureblood would begin to employ his telekinesis abilities, wrapping the force around the Twi'lek within moments. She would find herself pulled off of the cliff, landing safely beside the red skinned youth.

"I must concur." He admitted, turning to watch as [member="Revy Khai"] used her magic, turning the trio completely invisible. The Knight would keep his guard up while he traveled with the new arrival, not exactly sure as to who they were. Either way he was grateful, but would try not to show it. The group would depart, heading into the thick, tall jungles where they would disappear.
