Kaili Talith
Forgotten, not gone.

Frost crept against the transparent surface of the mansion’s windows, the last freezing remains of the condensation that had once threatened to invade their home. Around the mansion there were fireplaces that lit up with a widespread warm glow of crackling embers, spitting warmth into rooms that housed servants, guards and goddesses alike. It was sweater weather at its finest with the warm winds lending a wondrous, warm embrace to the capital below the mountain that Kaili and Allyson lived on. In a few months there would be snow, but the chance of it sticking around for more than two months was as slim as it had always been on Kiara.
All in all a sense of calm had settled over the planet as families began preparing for the coming winter. Autumn was here and Kaili would lie if she said the cold wouldn’t bother her. Being the native Borleian girl that she was she had found herself wearing a sweater that hugged against her neck in a way that felt just right. Like a soft hug of warm, wooly fabrics that were snug in all the right places for those that cared to give her a look.
And considering that there was only really the one person who would be looking for the evening it went without saying that the sweater had been a tactical choice on the blonde’s end. The planet was calm, and for the first time in what felt like years at this point so was the life of those who had helped rule it. The stresses and worries in Kaili’s mind and heart had long since been set aside. Not entirely, thoughts of her brother still plagued her every now and then, but it was manageable. Allyson’s memories were as they were, but enough had come back for Kaili and Allyson both to recognize who they were to each other, and with the amount of time they spent together once again there was no doubt on Kaili’s mind that things would be coming back in due time.
Things felt good again yet somehow the suspicion that it would all be taken away soon enough didn’t linger. It hadn’t been around for at least a few weeks, and for that Kaili was more than just thankful. She was ecstatic at the concept of finally getting what she had wanted, finally getting to place her head to rest on a fussy pink cloud of unfathomable comfort.
And all thanks to her rock in the storm and favorite smoke machine.
Teacup in hand Kaili raised it to her lips to take a sip. Eyes lingering on the Corellian in front of her with great curiosity. A promise had been made, but what that was remained to be seen. The heat of the tea spread itself evenly around her body as it made its way down.
“Well?” Kaili chuckled and let her lips spread into yet another toothy grin. “You said you had something to show me, what was it?”
Yeah. Things were actually pretty good for once.
