Kaili Talith
Forgotten, not gone.

“Well okay then, love!” Kaili called back and laughed as she went back to cooking. Right beef and what else did they have? She spun on her heel with a whistle before coming to a stop. Her fingers snapped and just like that the stereo was on with a beat that reminded her of when they had just started to see where their relationship went. If she had paid attention perhaps she would have noticed that the song started in the middle rather from the start, but it was too late for that. Kaili’s movements fell in line with the slow rhythm of the beat and her knee found the floor as the bass drop started its ascent beyond the reaches of its filter. With eyes scanning the lower section of the pantry in speed with the kick drum it didn’t take long to notice the bag of potatoes. Perhaps not the most exciting ingredient, but it had its uses. Hands grasped at it but realized that it was way heavy, opting instead to lift it with the force to let it wave up and down still in sync to the music.
“One drink, coming up.” Kaili slid on her feet towards the cabinets above the counter to reach for a ball glass. “Pure Corellian, just the way you want it.”
Bottle in hand she poured the liquid up, spun the bottle to let the last drip rest at the bottle’s tip. Before raising it in front of her to check if her pour had been as good as she had hoped. Kaili shrugged. It had been good enough. The glass found the ledge before Allyson as the blonde continued to work her food in the comfort of her very first kitchen. It might have lacked the servants she had grown somewhat used to, but to cook was something that could hardly be that hard to remember.
Right?
The potatoes found the boiling water, Kaili’s hip still swayed to the music.
“This kind of reminds me of the quiet nights we had when we both lived here.” Eyes shifted towards the corner of the archway leading into the bedroom. “When I quite literally slept in a wall. Funny how that changed.”
“It’s clean, right? You checked? I would hate for it to smell of sweaty agents or blood.”
