Corvus Raaf
Adieu...
Corvus spoke to the assembled Padawans and Younglings.
“Once there were around ten thousand Jedi Knights defending the galaxy. We had small outposts, temples, spread throughout the stars."
"The Empire nd One Sith sought out these temples and destroyed many of them — but not all," she said. "I came to Lothal, it was my sister’s idea, and I found this place.”
She gestured to a large rock on the plains. One of the Younglings sniggered and a hand went up. “Master Raaf, I mean Corvus…there’s no Temple there.”
The were all seated on the ground, facing the small mountain, Corvus with her back to it.
She smiled, as she was prone to do. “Feel the Force…all of you.”
And as one they closed their eyes. They connected to the Force. They felt it in the birds around them. Teye felt it in the blades of grass growing beneath them. They even felt it in the occasional mound that interrupted the plains. But the one large stone stood out, like a strange artefact from another age. And the Force took their minds inside, as if solid rock was nothing. They found themselves in a chamber that narrowed into a tunnel, where at its end blazed a bright, bright star.
The collective oohs and aahs were almost deafening. The Jedi temple was right there, on Lothal.
Corvus indicated they should all stand and follow her. They walked around the stone. It was solid, without anything resembling an entrance.
“Now…close your eyes and feel the world around the stone. The temple is not in the rock, but under it.”
“And it will admit us. Together."
Energy surged through Corvus' raised arm, pouring out toward the stone. The ground quaked and there was a tremendous cracking.
“Whoa," said the young Jedi as one.
“With practice you shall be able to open the entrance yourselves. Initially it may take two or three of you.”
The huge stone had been corkscrewed partially out of the ground, revealing a hollow cavity buried beneath. The entrance to the Jedi temple.
“This isn’t Ossus, it’s Lothal. So we have to start from scratch. We have many plans and we need some help. Who volunteers?”
Every hand was raised and Corvus beamed. “I thought so…follow me.”
