Darth Armyss
Nobleman, Sith, and Womanizer
((Sorry for the wait guys, had to deal with various things))
Albrecht continued to fire at the incoming zombies, this time with a light repeating blaster, after the carbine's power pack ran dry, mowing down waves of the undead, but they were still coming. However, in this carnage, he recalled something that, in some ways, was a problem, and yet in others, worked to his advantage.
"The hangars are going to be locked down as well, and it's more likely than not that the zombies have already disabled the ships there...we have one chance to get out" he told the others as he gestured towards the corridor leading to the dock where the derelict Star Destroyer was being kept. True, most systems were probably nonfunctional, but at the very least the life support, helm, engines and hyperdrive were functional, given how the salvage crews had flown the ancient warship into the drydock partly under its own power, the other vessels primarily assisting in course corrections with their tractor beams rather than towing it. It was an insane idea, trying to run a Star Destroyer with only a handful of people, barely enough to be part of the command staff of a skeleton crew, but in the short term...well...it had a higher survivability chance than simply waiting here to get eaten. Furthermore, most of the bodies on the Vector were decayed to the point that the virus couldn't use them.
"Get to the Star Destroyer in the drydock!" he yelled out, "It's the only remotely functional ship here that isn't in the locked-down hangar!"
((No this won't be their 'great escape' - it still needs some parts, but they don't know which ones yet, and guess where they have to go to get those parts))
