1 Zinglon plasma beam would be like 1 cluster of Turbo lasers going in a turbo blister. So 4 Zinglon plasma beans would = 4 clusters of turbolasers.the arrticle about the outbound flight ship doesn't define exactly how many turbolasers are in one of those clusters. I would say each cluster contains 4 laser cannons.

Based on the context of the bracketed text, are you looking for point defense laser cannons?

Right now you have 58 capital guns (about double what is normally seen on this size of a ship with no development thread and the following features), assuming that the laser cannons are intended for defense (such as quad laser cannons or point defense laser cannons), a heavy deflector shield rather than a normal one, average speed & maneuverability for a ship with much less firepower than this. Either you are going to need to make this a bigger ship, or you are going to need to reduce some of these features, more specifically the armament.

A single PC may own and captain a ship of 400 meters in length or below, and really this is about what would be average for a ship of that size, if not just slightly over. If you're not comfortable with going up that far, or going up at all, then I will request that guns are cut in half or the heavy deflector shield is removed and the speed & maneuverability are bumped up to 10 & 9 (You can reduce as you see fit if you increase the size, preferably of all three measurements, and I'll check when you tag me if they are fit).
 
I can't increase the size of the ship. Can I reduce the guns to half, but leave the heavy deflector shields as is? And just change manoeuvrability to 9 from 8?

The 20 standard laser cannons which we can halve to 10, are for defensive purposes. Such as stopping missiles aimed at the ship and small fighters. If they need to be point defence laser cannons instead, then I can change them to that. Please advise?

If you aren't willing to go up in size at all, I'm going to need guns dropped to around 15-20 total (I'll quote the effected weapons below) and speed raised up to 10.
  • 4 Zinglon plasma beam weapons (Equivalent to Turboblaster Blisters)
  • 32 Railguns (Effective against larger captal ships)
  • 20 Light standard turbolasers (Effective against small fighter ships)
Light turbolasers count as half, so the 20 listed count as 10 guns. Railguns and Turbolasers both count as one, so 32 + 16 (4 x 4 Turbolasers each) is 48.

I am comfortable approving this if weapons reduced to between 15 and 20 total capital guns (from the 58 currently listed above).

Speed changed to 10.
Light turbolasers changed to 10.
Zinglon plasma beam (Turboblisters/lasers) and railguns changed to just railgun and a total of 24.

Check all on the main thread.
