Ivory watched, prepared for further assault from the Saurton killer, as the beast took a step back from her and paused. His bulbous yellow eyes searched the room, scanning first herself then the woman who'd been his target. Before Ivory could advance and press her assault further, the creature reached toward his bandoleer of equipment and plucked three devices from it; priming all three before she could react.
Immediately disregarding the big lizard as a physical threat, Ivory paid all her attention on the grenade which sailed in her direction - lashing out with her right leg in a quick-fire kick which caught the small device in mid-air. The flash grenade sailed a short distance as Ivory turned toward her rear, disengaging from the fight and hastily moving toward
Valery Noble
; recognizing the woman was attentively looking in her direction. Stretching her arm into the air, she captured the spiraling explosive in mid-air through The Force. Channeling her powerful will into her fingertips, Ivory clenched her fist; crushing the small device in an instant in the same fashion that Valery had done with one of the droids; rendering the device inert as it sparked, failed, and fell to the floor of the cantina.
The first grenade went off behind her with an all-consuming flash of light & concussion, but she was out of the range of the powerful explosive. As she approached Valery at a sprint, Ivory waved the woman down, explaining in a simple word:
"Thermal!"
She reached Val in an instant, sliding the last two feet on her knees through spilled alcohol and debris from the brief but intense battle. She immediately pulled Val down, crouching behind a turned-over table, her heartbeat thudding in her ears.
She only had time for a single deep breath before the explosive went off on the other side of the room.
The concussive force of the blast was followed instantly by a wave of intense heat as a fireball leaped up, sucking all the oxygen from the surrounding area. The walls & ceiling lit aflame, and all the glass in the windows shattered. The table Ivory & the stranger crouched behind nearly fell on-top of them.
Once Ivory was sure the roof wasn't going to collapse, she looked at the Brunette... now able to see her clear.
"Are you okay?" She asked, her words accentuated by the steady hum of multiple fires around them. Already, smoke was beginning to fill the now-abandoned cantina. She stood up, frowning.
"We have to go. All of Denon will have heard that explosion. I have friends coming... When CorpSec shows up, we need to be long gone."
Behind them, the door to the back alley crookedly hung open, with a cloud of smoke pouring out of it and rising into the sky.
"This kinda biz happens all the time on Denon. If I'd known you were a..." She paused as she began to walk toward the door, crunching glass beneath her feet.
"...Well, I didn't know you could hold your own." A smirk crept over her lips. Ivory seemed oddly undisturbed by the sudden fight and resulting massive damage to the cantina. Almost as-if it was a normal day.
"If you want to avoid the inside of a CorpSec interrogation room, follow me."
"By the way... the name's Ivory."
