Pactum Serva.
DENON
Long ago, Denon stood pillar to the Galactic Alliance. It is said that in the days of old, it even stood to serve as the capital for some time. Though the Alliance has known many forms since then, history seems to repeat itself as the world joins the fold once more. The Corporate Authorities that rule the planet, and stretch their influence over surrounding space, have held to their independence for quite some time. However, with the encroaching borders of three nations, it became evident their autonomy hung in the balance. With a proactive response, the Authorities reached out to the Alliance, securing their spot in a nation that offers a safe haven for free-trade. Rumblings of the underworld suggest the notorious shadowrunners of Darkwire have not taken kindly to the cooperation of the pair.
OBJECTIVE I - MONEY MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND
The Senate has reconvened once more. Elections have come and gone, both planetary and national. For the time being, Chancellor Chandra has managed to retain her power; with the imperialist party seeing dying support, and populist split between Tambor and Vahl, the federalist party prevailed, but only just.
However, the continuing reign is beginning as anything but smooth. In recent weeks, electrum has dropped to a record low, dragging the Alliance’s currency - the Galactic Standard Credit - with it. Panic is on the rise as the credit becomes near worthless. Riots have already spawned upon several worlds, with conspiracy theorists pushing that the Alliance must be responsible for the drop. With haste, Senator Otto Shule has proposed moving to another currency - the Trade Federation Credit - while others propose the creation of a domestic Alliance credit to stabilize the market and give the Alliance control. Others argue the Alliance should not intervene, but simply ride the inevitable rises and falls that all currencies face, and stand with the Galactic Standard Credit. In the face of corporate pressures, the interests of your constituents and your own personal gain, how will your Senator vote?
OBJECTIVE II - FRIENDS IN LOW PLACES
Denon is no stranger to wayfaring strangers. With its prime location and the trade routes around it, spacers come like flies to honey, for both business and pleasure. While Alliance’s southern expansion begins to slow, those partaking in the Outbound Flight Initiative prepare to launch into high gear. Spaceports across Denon are seeing increased traffic by recruiters looking to assemble crews for SIA, GADF and civilian expeditions into the Unknown Regions, each looking to use their deep pockets to pull together the best crew and ensure mission success.
However, they are not the only ones on the lookout for a quick score. Shadowrunners have collected intel on where these recruiters are staying, and plan to strike when the fruit is ripe. Both groups now claim it their own turf; and they will have to compete to prove such.
OBJECTIVE III - BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CORUSCANT
Denon is a city world with vast amenities and popular landmarks such as Seven Corners and The Wall, complete with the grandiose Pinnacle casino which lures folk with its offering of wealth and highlife. Skytown is home to a galaxy famous university, who’s knowledge the Jedi may find exciting. Several corporations are ripe with potential for trade. Just a hop skip and jump down the road, you can find the Sakedo Tower, known for its tourism. Business or pleasure, the Alliance citizens take the planet by storm.
OBJECTIVE IV - BYOO
