[+] Mando'ade Warrior: As one would expect from an older Mandalorian, Deram is very skilled in combat. Few make it to his age without knowing - and having - a high degree of combat capability and battlefield awareness, particularly in weapons, strategy and leadership. Deram is well known for using heavy, highly decorated beskar'gam. He also has a preference for heavy weaponry, and wields a customized LMG shatter gun in combat; when close-quarters is required, he uses his clan's famous poleaxe, which has slain many an enemy to Mandalore.[+] Green Thumb: Away from the battlefield, Deram is a very talented farmer. His knowledge in agriculture has been passed through clan Carid for centuries, and they remain some of the foremost leaders in maintaining produce, imports and exports for the Mando'ade. With more recent events, Deram hopes to assist with returning Mandalore to its former glory, undoing the cataclysm and returning to being a farmer that owns and operates a vast portion of land, as is his clan right.[+] Epic-anthix: Due to his species, Deram has natural strength, speed and stamina. His height and weight are considerable, and despite his age by human standards, he is still able to keep up with the younger warriors on the field - really only being just over middle-age. His capacity for understanding battle is impressive, and his love of different art and culture has been cultivated from a young age. Additionally, Deram has inherited his parent's unconscious ability to shield their minds from Force-assisted powers. This makes facing Jedi and Sith all the more easier, especially when he doesn't have to worry about having his mind being sent for a spin.
[+/-] Old School: Deram is an old school Mando'ade. He abides by traditions, vows and honor. When he says he'll do something, it gets done. Deram prefers when newer Mandalorians remain mindful of the old ways, but even he can't deny that the constant in-fighting from decades ago was a real strain on the people and economy. Because of this old mindset, Deram can often be put at odds with younger Mando'ade, when they seek to make changes or alter how things should be. Still, times have not been kind to Mandalore, and Deram is reluctant to admit that perhaps some change might be necessary.[+/-] Trusting & Honest: Perhaps a less common attribute for Mando'ade, Deram is very trusting and honest to those that have earned his respect. He will take their word, keep their secrets, and he will tell them when they're being stupid; though sometimes this doesn't go over well with those who don't share a similar blunt personality, or those who don't want to be told opinions. By the same token, Deram can be misled and lied to, if those he trusts decide to take advantage of his nature. Those that do, especially when Deram finds out, wouldn't even have to keep one eye open - they'd see and hear him coming a mile away.
[-] Discouraged: In light of recent events for the last several years, Deram has come to see many problems with Mandalore. Not only the ones caused by evil people, but also how difficult simply having a functioning leadership can be. Because of his loyalty to the Mando'ade, and their leader, Deram has to keep his feelings on this matter bottled up; and because of his usual trusting and honest attitude in life, its been slowly eating him alive, that he has been drifting away from his people and culture.[-] Haunted: Deram has seen many things in his lifetime, has been in many battles and crusades. He has seen wars and tactics that would make younger Mando'ade wince, and has willingly taken part in some of those atrocities, to serve his leaders. Some nights Deram can escape the nightmares, but other times they pursue him relentlessly, and he sees flashes of all the faces of sentients he's killed.[-] Widowed: The cataclysm resulted in the loss of his wife, leaving Deram with four children to raise on his own. This event still causes Deram deep sorrow, and the years since haven't helped to balm the wound. And out of love and loyalty, he refuses to find another partner, but at the same time his children growing and living their own lives leaves him lonely.
