Destiny: Final Days of a Jedi Master

She could practically taste them.

Since her return Nemene had become stronger in the force, more powerful, more able to do things. Where once she had not been able to hide, now she was a dagger within the mist. Where once she had not been able to since, now she was like a radar calling all around her. She felt the Jedi, she heard them approached through echos in the force.

Tears streamed down her face.

They rolled over her cheeks and down onto her lips. They tasted salty sweet, her lips curled into a smile as she hid her broken and bruised face, blood droplets falling down onto the ground and surrounding her, slowly swelling the area and ruining her dress even further.

Soon.

They would be coming soon.

She could sense them, feel them coming closer. Blaster fire rang out, the soaring emotions of Slavers and Soldiers alike began to prickle at her, called to her. She wanted blood. She wanted death, but she had to wait.

She had to wait for the perfect moment.

She nodded, she would prefer not to result to using her blade at all, she quickly and swiftly maneuvered her way from in front of him when he launched himself into the ensuing battle. She watched for a moment, and was only temporarily distracted from the bolts flailing around the room from both side. Her mind was clouded, still. So she reverted back to using her natural instincts.

She made her way around the battle with Connor serving as a successful distraction. Slowly, and stealing up the ramp to sneak into the mechanical body of the ship. She heard the crackle of scattered fire, but that was overshadowed by the gun fight just outside.

She would literally roam and roam looking for the right room. Done in a fashion that was as quick as it could be. This time however...she allowed herself to use her abilities to feel out for the lost souls on board. While it took longer than she would have realized, before things could go out of control, the first thread of life she sensed she deactivated her abilities once more, and ran with great speed in that direction.

Coming to the door, she punched the manual on the wall, and the doors slid open. A dark room on lit by the lights coming from outside the door itself. Parts of bodies were scattered, but they were alive. Her eyes slowly came to a squint, and when they adjusted enough she could tell that these were the slaves she was looking for.

"I'm here to help! Come...quickly!" while motioning with her hands for them to follow, the emotions ran wild...that she could tell from looking at their faces. While the followed one by one, she turned around only to see a stray slaver. Her fired at them rapidly, but a blue blade sprung to life, stemming straight from her sleeve. With precise and quick swordplay she managed to shield the others, and herself...maybe...she reflected the last one back, hitting her enemy and retaliating. Afterwards with a shortness of breath she motioned for everyone else to continue to exit the ship.

There was one girl however, who seemed to have sustained injuries recently. She was battered, and could hardly walk for herself. Ru went to grab her, placing her arm over her back, and wrapping her right arm around her waist. She helped her, the last one...with succession.

Connor wielded his blade with efficiency and precision, serving only as a distraction for Sochi to slip into the crippled transport.

He saw her go in, nodding to himself and moved back around to stand with the Rangers helping to wipe out the remaining mercenaries putting up a final stand.

Connor repelled a shot, and smiled to himself.

"Take them down soldiers, but we have a Jedi on-board and numerous slaves - "

He ducked and sent a small wave of Force energy out to send back two gunmen.

" - so watch your fire and wait until she is clear before moving in."

Connor's eyes glanced to the ship.

When the woman reached out to grab her, when she spoke and tried to reach for her, Nemene nearly lashed out.

It was so tempting, so very tempting. Yet she knew it was not yet time. Not in the middle of all this, not in the middle of combat. She would have to wait. She would have to wait for just the right time. When the Jedi let her guard down, when her friend was watching, when all the world could see. That was when she would strike.

Her eyes flickered to the lightsaber.

A small smirk flowed across her lips, hidden by the length of her crimson dabbed hair. It quickly disappeared as the singing smell of blaster fire flowed around her.

“Help me!” She screeched hoarsely, her voice stained with sobs and tears. “Please help me! Get me out!”

Just a little while now. Just a little while longer.

"its alright, I have you. I will get you out. Hang on to me!" the entire time she spoke to calm the battered young woman. Her abdomen stung in pain, but the adrenaline and her will allowed her to persist. They were the last ones to have to exit, and while they limped together, they could see the lights of the hangar bay inching closer and closer as their faces began to glow.

With heavy breath, she cared for the young woman beside her putting her safety above everything else. Scattered fire still reigned, but their pathway was clear.

"Connor! We're clear. She was the last one..."

"Round them up Colonel and restrain them. They are in your hands now - Master Ru will have the slaves and we will deal with them."

Connor turned and deactivated his saber with the smell of smoke and burning in the air. The gunmen seemed to have given up thankfully seeing the arrival of a lightsaber wielding warrior, and so it hadn't had been as bloody as expected. He backed away have the smoking transport in his line of sight saw Sochi and a prisoner coming up. He gave a firm salute.

"Take your time - I got things wrapped up here."

He gave a little bow and grin. Turning to a couple of soldiers, he spoke instructions and indicated for them to aid Sochi should she need it. Looking out over the welcome party, Connor nodded in satisfaction. It felt rather good to have the upper hand and actually see the results of what the Silver Jedi were about.
