APPEARANCE:
BIOGRAPHY:
Born as an Astriocra within House Inrokini, Diarmid was set for life, sure to obtain some kind of prominent position within the Ascendency when he became of age. Even so, it wasn’t a cakewalk for the then young Chiss, having to compete with other heirs of elite pedigrees.
From an early age, he stood out with an aptitude for the sciences, which pleased his immediate family as House Inrokini’s purview covered Science and Communications. However, with a penchant for exploration, he would soon enlist within the Chiss Defense Fleet as it offered the best opportunity to follow that passion (not to mention the added prestige within a militaristic society).
For the better part of two decades, he would go on to serve with distinction within the CDF, seeing most corners of the galaxy as he did. However, his favorite assignments always involved the Unknown Regions, which still largely remained a mystery in modern times. His dream was to map out the entirety of the Unknown Regions, as well as the surrounding companion galaxies before his death.
During his career within the CDF, he would see the Ascendency absorbed within multiple empires. While some of his peers were ambivalent our outright hostile to such annexations, Diarmid saw such events to improve the livelihood of his people with access to a greater pool of resources and manpower. Because of his more progressive stance towards foreigners, over time he often found himself acting as a liason of sorts.
Following his retirement from the CDF, he settled back on his native Copero to help oversee his family’s operations there. Shortly thereafter, the Jen’ari burst on the scene, engaging in a quick war with more xenophobic factions of the Ascendency. During this time, he urged his family to take a more neutral stance and even open dialogue with the Jen’ari, again looking to find some benefit in associating with the latest batch of Sith Imperialists.
After an alliance was eventually formed between the Jen’ari and the Ascendency, Diarmid successfully jockeyed to become the first governor of Copero under the new regime.
