Dinner After A Brawl

Smiling I said "Most of this, the whole being a smuggler, bounty hunter, and in general rogue is completely new. Aside from being a rogue I mean I had to be working in a seedy bar and diner on Coruscant to even try and afford living costs. I had to learn not to play fair which meant using my precognition and limited Force abilities for gambling, flirting with customers to even make working at the diner worth the job cause nobody tipped for crap, and racing bikes. I'm more of a natural born risk-taker." Sighing I said "Flirting for tips to live off of isn't exactly where I'd want to start a relationship anyways....wouldn't have been how my brother would've done it for sure..."

Spearing more of my salad and steak I chewed thoughtfully before swallowing. Looking up at the stars I knew where we'd need to start as a crew for getting us set up. Looking back at Jae I set my plate off to the side and said "No Jae I haven't done this before, all of this is new to me...." Then remembering how my brother had once said that every so often it was best to embrace the insanity and see if it made sense afterwards. Taking a sip of my wine I set the glass back down and then I moved in towards Jae and pressing my lips against hers I kissed her. Guess now was as good a time as any to embrace the insanity...

@Jae Jordan

Jae took another bite of her steak before also scooping up some of the salad, grabbing her glass she sipped at her wine once again as she listened intently to what Andorreth was saying. She had to admit she was slightly surprised that this was all new to him, being a smuggler and rogue. He just seemed to have done it before, as if he'd had experience. Though some individuals simply possessed the necessary skills and traits in order to be able to cope with a lifestyle as of his. And lucky for him, he possessed those exact skills. She felt sorry for him and his previous life on Coruscant, especially his job and having to live of the scraps he received, assuming any customers were even generous enough to leave a tip for him.

She looked into his hazel green eyes and had to refrain from getting lost in them. Her eyebrows arched in sympathy when he stated to her that he hadn't done any of this before, a straightforward and honest statement. She seemed to hear a slight hint of worry in his voice, worry of the unknown. She couldn't blame him, he was captain of a crew, and there would be times where tough decisions had to be made and those decisions would have to be made in a split second. The safety and fate of his crew was somewhat in his hands, to a certain extent. That's a huge burden. "Well, you're doing great, despite never having done anything of the sort before." She complimented him, trying to lighten to mood.

She smiled at him as she watched him, though she realised he was nearing her and getting extremely closer to her. Before she could say or think anything his lips were on hers in one swift moment. Utter surprise washed over her for a quick second before she melted into the kiss and closed her eyes. She carefully moved her plate to the side, out of the way as her other hand made it's way up his shoulder and around the back of his neck. She inched closer, closing the space between the duo.

I wrapped one hand around her waist pulling Jae closer against me and continued the kiss for another few seconds before gently beginning to pull away. I could feel my lips sticking to hers as I pulled away and brushing my shaggy black hair away from my face realized what I'd just done...Osik. Looking at Jae I said "Hopefully this doesn't complicate things too much Jae. Sorry I just felt this chemistry and wanted to see if I was right about it..." Thinking for a second I decided the hell with it and wrapping my hand back around her waist I pulled her back against me and kissed her again. Captain and his pilot...geez what were the odds? Guess I had more in common with my brother than I thought...

In less than two days I'd gone from broke barman to smuggler and captain. Now I had this beautiful young woman in my arms. Things sure changed quickly, not that I actually minded the idea of me as a captain being involved with my pilot. There was a definite appeal to the idea...

@Jae Jordan

She was enjoying the kiss and moved along with him when he pulled her closer she couldn't help but feel a hint of sadness when she felt him slowly begin to pull away. Worry instantly overcame her as she didn't know if she'd done something wrong or not. She waited for him to say something and listened carefully when he did. She smiled after he finished speaking, "I don't think it complicates too much." She replied, brushing a bit of his hair out of his eyes. "No don't apologise, I did-" she was cut off mid sentence when he pulled her back in for another kiss. She smiled lightly in the kiss whilst she wrapped both her arms around his neck.

The idea of what they had between them complicating things lingered in the back of her mind. She was currently romantically involved with her captain. From a professional point of view, that may have been frowned upon, though the duo weren't trying to impress anyone. And Jae's never been one to follow each rule as they're stated anyway.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

Smiling as Jae stopped talking I kept the kiss going before pulling back away briefly. Looking at her I said "Glad to see it doesn't complicate things I'd hate to be complicated. I'm a fairly simple man anyways." Laying back next to Jae I looked at her and said "What do you say about taking a break from all the romantic tension here and letting me help you out with getting ready for what our first mission is going to be?" As much as I could be okay with staying here with Jae and continuing to kiss her and maybe progress things along I'd much rather follow through with my other promise of showing her some things with blades. I wanted to be able to have her stay alive long enough with some of the upcoming missions to continue being able to kiss her later...

@Jae Jordan

She broke away from the kiss as Andorreth had done, content with how it had gone. She smiled and listened to him, "I don't mind that at all." She replied in agreement, though she'd be okay whenever the duo felt the need to share another romantic moment, should they need one..or want on. She brushed some locks of hair behind her ear before glancing at that amazing view once again. "So, what's next?" She asked in regards to their first mission, she was eager to see what would happen.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

Looking back at Jae I said "Combat armor and walking around in an EVA suit with mag boots. Also weapons, we'll start off with blades once we get back from the EVA walk. Cause that...unless you're used to it can make you really nauseous, shooting blasters with EVA suits is even more problematic. So I need to get you used to it before we go for the mission I have planned for us all next. For now follow me and we'll get you sorted with a selection of gear from the armory." With that I headed back out of my cabin and waited for Jae to join me.

Once she had I took the lead and headed towards the lift that'd take us straight to the armory. First we'd need to get her a suit of EVA armor, then probably a blaster rifle and blaster pistol set. Plus a sword or staff because nothing was quite as personal as bladed weapons. After we got her kitted up we'd head out onto the hull for what would make the view from my cabin look like nothing...

@Jae Jordan

Jae nodded her head in agreement, liking the sound of the plan Andorreth had proposed to her. Though she had to admit she was a bit wary of the EVA suit, especially when he said it may make her nauseous. She didn't know how she was going to go in one of these, she generally liked her feet on the ground, funny coming from a pilot. Though being within an aircraft she knew how to control did not faze her the EVA suit on the other hand..for now though she'd have the mag boots which would keep her close to the ground.

She stood up and joined Andorreth as he lead the way to the lift. As the doors emerged back, letting the duo exit they made their way into the armoury very close by. She looked around at the different types of armoury that hing around the place, as well as a selection of weaponry. "How long did it take you to get used to walking around in an EVA suit?" She asked curiously, assuming he' used one given how confidently he spoke about it, though she may have been wrong. She was wanting to get a decent idea of how long it'd take her to get the hang of it.

Smiling at Jae's question of how long it'd taken me to get used to wearing an EVA suit and moving in it I said "I had a crash course in it. My brother took me out into the black one day and rigged the ship to have power fail. We had to work together to restore power. I learned pretty quick due to self preservation." Placing my hand on one of the bio-scanners I unlocked the the armory lockers and looking at Jae I said "Place your hand onto that bio-scanner, it'll key your biometrics to one of the lockers and you'll be able to grab gear and put it inside for a kind of customized loadout."

Walking back over to my locker I again place my hand on the bio-scan pad and activated my locker. Selecting the EVA loadout my armor dropped and I began pulling on the black polymer bodysuit and fastening up the armor plates over my body. As I finished fastening the armor segments down I checked over the bodysuit with a diagnostic integrity check and made sure that the thrust pack was set on my suit. As much as mag boots were great sometimes you just needed to get places quick in zero-g. I'd need to teach her about zero-g bladed combat when we got back for now though I wanted to show her basics. After getting my Andromeda class armor and EVA suit squared I locked my helmet against my left breastplate. I'd wait for her to suit up before we did anything else, as it was I only had blaster weapons because bullets tended to stay moving throughout space. Energy would simply strike and either destroy the target or the energy would just dissipate.

I had some target launchers up top that'd give her the experience of shooting in zero-g. Checking my armor I also made sure I had a line launcher loaded up in at least one of my gauntlets. I needed to be sure Jae could handle zero-g especially since the next mission we'd go on was going to be stripping the bones of abandoned ships. Crosswire would need to get a suit too but I'd worry about that later...

She laughed lightly at the explanation Andorreth gave her in regards to learning how to manoeuvre in an EVA suit, "Guess that's one way to learn something new. Nothin' like being in the moment." Sometimes, that was the best thing to do, in some cases, not all the time. She watched as he unlocked the armoury lockers with the help of a bio-scan. She looked to him and nodded in acknowledgement to his instructions. She looked down at her hand before raising it and placing it onto the bio-scanners, scanning over her prints and palm. "Cool.." She muttered under her breath.

She took her hand off inspecting it once again, before she looked up into her personal locker and saw the EVA loadout. The armour sat there waiting to be donned. Her eyes glimmered as she inspected the new suit of armour. It was was an ashy white accompanied with parts of the body armour coloured in a black-grey. The armour components wedged themselves into place, making the suit a perfect mix of mobile and protective. She looked over herself, wearing a huge smile across her face. She was looking forward to using this new EVA suit. She stuck one leg out and turned it slightly, admiring her white mag boots. She grabbed the helmet from the locker and inspected it, turning it around in her hands before putting it on and looking around through it for a few moments. She took it off and smiled again, tucking it under her arm. Nodding softly to herself she turned around, facing Andorreth, "Ready!" She cheered, excited for what cam next.

"This is super cool by the way, thanks." She smiled at him, knowing he'd done a lot for her. And now he was about to show her how to handle and manoeuvre around in an EVA suit. She'd never done it before, and she was aware of the fact it'd probably take her a little bit to get used to, though she had no doubt she'd get the hang of it sooner or later.

Smiling as Jae pulled on her EVA armor and thanked me for it I simply nodded and unlatching my helmet form my breastplate I pulled it over my head and waited for the seal to engage. Looking towards Jae I said "Check the HUD and make a note of the callsign there. You'll have the chance to choose your own after this EVA walk the suit will need to register at least one walk before then." Walking back out of the armory I headed to the airlock on this deck and after feeling the EVA suit latch my helmet secure I entered the pressurization chamber and seeing Jae come in behind me I sealed the chamber. Knowing my callsign would come up as Vespera I looked towards Jae and said "Magboots now if you don't mind Jae." Reaching to my left arm I engaged my mag-boots and they clomped against the deckplate with a shhhuunk. My hand hovered over the release for the door and waited for Jae to engage her mag-boots and then we'd go out into the black....

@Jae Jordan

She nodded and pulled the helmet over her head once again, checking diagnostics as the suit seemed the come to life, the helmet secured to the rest of the suit, ready to go. She looked down and took note of the callsign, keeping in mind that she would be able to change it later on. She already thought of a couple things she was potentially going to change it, though she pushed them to the back of her mind as she had other things to worry about at the current time. She looked back up and started to follow Andorreth at the duo left the armoury, she looked around and noticed he'd lead them to the airlock. It wasn't until the chamber behind her locked that she started to freak out a little bit. Things started to sink in and any minute now Andorreth was about to unlock the airlock, and they'd go on from there. She had butterflies in her stomach as she feared the unknown, as most people do. She looked towards Andorreth and nodded in regards to his request about the mag-boots, "Nope don't mind at all." She replied, her voice shaking towards the end in the slightest, barely noticeable. She brought her fore-arm in front of her and engaged the mag-boots, she felt as well as heard them activate, knowing that they were working perfectly fine, she calmed down slightly. She nodded in his direction, "Good to go."

Smiling as she told me she was good to go I walked out into the black of space and waited for Jae to join me. Once she had I looked back at her and said "Not a bad view of the stars ehh Jae?" Clunking over to a spor on the hull I disengaged my mag-boots and jetted over to a console before re-engaging my mag-boots. Activating the console a small cloud of targets released and I pulled my rifle looking at Jae I fired a shot off shattering one of the targets. "Your turn Jae show me you skills with a gun." I had plans to spend more time with Jae after this mission that we had coming up. For now though gun skills were more important.

@Jae Jordan

She looked straight forward, her eyes fixated out into the black of space, she was half amazed and half terrified. She looked at Andorreth when he spoke about the view, she then looked upwards at the star and all around her. For a second her mind was taken away from the idea of floating off into space and she focused on the burning stars around her. "It's beautiful." She replied to him. She looked back to him when she heard a noise which she later discovered was his mag-boots disengaging. She swallowed before she followed suit and hesitantly disengaged her own mag-boots. The small jets on the back of her EVA suit assisted in propelling her over to where Andorreth stood. As soon as she was next to him she re-engaged her mag boots quicker than she could say 'bantha steak'. She held her arms out to steady herself for a quick second before she relaxed, knowing she could rely on her jets and mag-boots to keep her steady. She smiled at him when he told her to show her skills with a gun, she was decent with a gun down on planet, out in space? Well that might be a whole other story. She grabbed the gun and tilted her head down to the barrel, trying to line up her shot. She took aim and fired, just hitting the target. She brought her head back up, "Could've been better." She commented on her aim, less than pleased with it.

It may take her a few shots before she got used to working around in zero gravity, but she'd need to learn it sooner or later, as it would soon prove to be a useful and necessary skill in future missions.

Smiling at Jae's reaction to the view I waited until she fired until speaking. "Just wait until you're disengaging your mag-boots and using nothing but thrusters and a line launcher with mag-boots at the last second." Moving over toward Jae I looked at another small group of targets and shouldering my rifle again I released my mag-boot lock and launched my line into the hull drifting up into space. Holding for one, two, then three seconds I fired a quick shot to the left target I'd been aiming at, then using micro-thrust jets I sent myself in a turn towards the other target firing as it came into view before leaning back and nailing a third target that'd drifted almost out of reach. Securing my rifle once more I began pulling myself back down towards the hull to rejoin Jae.

Once I'd come back against the hull I used the thrusters to quickly move back next to Jae and re-engaged my mag-boots. Looking at her line up another shot I waited in silence and saw the flash of fire as she shot and hit that target dead center. Smiling inside my helmet I spoke over comms to her "So Jae, favorite color? I may or may not be planning something as a surprise for you depending on your answer...By the way, nice shot there. You learn very quickly it'd seem." I'd been puzzling out what to get Jae for a welcome to the crew gift. But now after that kiss and the follow up kiss I wanted to do something that'd pamper her. Asking for a favorite color wouldn't be cheating but then again I believed in spoiling women I was involved with or wanted to pursue a relationship with....

@Jae Jordan

She though about the idea of disengaging her mag-boots and relying solely on thrusters and a line launcher, she laughed nervously at the idea. She would probably prefer to take things at a slow pace and take one step at a time. But she knew herself that the quicker she learnt the better things would be for everyone, especially when they headed out on their missions requiring these specific set of skills and experience. She watched as Andorreth moved all over the place, without the help of his mag-boots. She watched, astound, as he hit multiple targets whilst moving around and turning. She found it quite impressive, watching him hit the targets effortlessly. She smirked as he came back down next to her, "Nice job, you're a pretty good shot." She complimented him, knowing her comment was underrated, he was a great shot, that was evident.

She took aim once again and lined it up with another target, making sure to fix up any error that she noticed from her last shot. She exhaled shortly before firing, watching the blaster fly through and hit the target straight in the middle. She smiled as a wave of achievement washed over her. Turning to look over to Andorreth she raised an eyebrow and smiled in confusion towards his question. "Uh, blue. What's this for?" She asked in return, curious as to what he had in mind. She smiled once again in regards to his comment, "Thankyou." She replied. She did like to classify herself as a fast learner, though she tried not to come off too cocky, as she already did when it came to flying. She took another aim and fired before landing another shot perfectly onto another target.

Smiling I disengaged the filter on my helmet so she could see my face and said "No reason whatsoever, idle curiosity is all." Complete osik but I wasn't going to tell her what I was planning either. It'd ruin the surprise and all. Looking back at her with the filter gone from my helmet I said "Well Jae you're picking up on this pretty quick. Now we can either stay out here or head back inside and work on a few other things. Seems to me though that I also promised to teach you about bladework and that it was similar to dancing."

I had left some people on Corellia and quite a few of them owed me favors from my time growing up there. I simply hadn't yet made my mind up on weather or not to pursue the assassin back to my home. In any case those contacts had told me about several high class parties and events to take place on and near Corellia in the future so who knew the surprise I was planning might make it to Jae's cabin sooner than I'd originally planned on. In any case she'd know when the surprise came up.

@Jae Jordan

She took aim at another target once again, she took pride in the fact that she was getting the hang of it. She was under no circumstances an expert shooter though she could manage her way around a blaster enough for it to suffice. She looked to him and smiled when his filter disappeared and revealed his face, she smiled upon seeing him and smiled even more at his comment, sensing he was up to something though left it for the time being. When he spoke again and presented the options to her she didn't waste a second thinking and knew what her choice was going to be, "Can we head back inside and work on the bladework?" She asked, she was eager to learn the new skill ever since Andorreth had proposed the idea to her back on Nar Shadaa.

She had a feeling though this skill was going to be a little harder to master, or in her case simply get the hang of. She'd had a decent amount of experience with a blaster and simply had to readjust herself and get comfortable in the new conditions of zero-g. Bladework was an entirely different story, she'd never held or used a blade before, which was the main reason for her strong desire to learn the skill. The other reason was simply the idea of spending more time with Andorreth, which she never shied away from.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

Smiling at the mention of bladework I said "Of course we can do bladework Jae. I think I know the perfect thing to start out with too..." With that I placed my rifle flat against my chestplate and magnetized it locking it in place. Turning towards the airlock I launched my line towards it and after tugging to make sure it was secure I looked at Jae winked and released the lock of my mag-boots, then I activated the thrusters on my boots jetting towards the airlock. Once I'd reached the airlock I retracted my line and simply held onto the airlock frame as I saw Jae jetting back over towards me. Once she'd reached me I hooked a link to her suit so we wouldn't drift apart and began cycling the airlock .

As the airlock sealed and ice crystals dropped from my armor I had an idea that I might use in the future. Ice crystals could be used to evade heat scans...I'd have to figure that out how to use that later. For now I unclipped Jae's armor from mine and heading into the armory I walked to a platform in front on my gear locker. After taking a solid stance there I triggered the armor sequence and the platform I was standing on began stripping the armor pieces off of me and storing them for later. Gesturing for Jae to do the same I walked towards the training room and simply took off my shirt as I pulled on a module for my gauntlet that'd allow it to become a hard-light shield. I grabbed another for Jae and grabbed two sets of wooden training blades with the first a crossguard blade and the second a slashing type blade. I sat on my knees and waited for Jae to rejoin me in the training room once she had we'd begin...

@Jae Jordan

She bubbled up with excitement when Andorreth had agreed to begin learning and practising bladework. She smiled and laughed lightly when he winked at her before taking off towards the air lock. She watched and followed suit, not trying anything fancy, especially at this early stage in learning how to manoeuvre in zero gravity. Launching her own grapple it held onto the airlock and as Jae hesitated for a moment before turning he mag-boots off, she slowly started to drift upwards without the magnetised energy of her boots keeping her to the ground. She used the jets along the back of her suit to reach Andorreth and the air lock.

As Andorreth unclipped him from herself, she watching in amusement and a slight hint of curiosity, like a child observing something new and bewildering, as the armour sequence began to remove the armour from Andorreths body. She looked at him and did the same once he was done, just as he'd instructed her to do so. She smiled and laughed lightly hopping off the platform and turning around, watching it store away her armour for when she'd next need it, whether it be for more practice or a real mission.

She made her way down to the training room, Andorreth already there. "Thanks for showin me how to use the suit-" Entering the room she looked up and in front of her and saw him kneeling on the ground, his shirt not present. She looked away for a second before looking back at him, "Um.. what are we starting with?" She couldn't help but notice how good he looked without a shirt on, he was attractive, there was no doubt about that. She noticed the wooden swords sitting behind him and smiled lightly, she had to start somewhere and giving her a wooden weapon was probably the best option right now, she agreed with that completely.
