Disciplinary Actions and Consequences

Disciplinary Actions and Consequences

  1. Minor Infractions:
    • Examples: Failure to follow minor protocol, lateness, inappropriate attire, or minor disruptions during training.
    • Consequences:
      • Verbal warning issued by the supervising instructor or mission leader.
      • Additional duties or training exercises as a form of correction.
      • Temporary suspension from non-essential activities, such as recreational time or non-critical missions.
  2. Moderate Infractions:
    • Examples: Disobeying orders, misuse of the Force, failure to uphold mission objectives, or neglecting training responsibilities.
    • Consequences:
      • Formal reprimand and review with the mission leader or senior instructor.
      • Assignment to remedial training or study sessions.
      • Temporary restriction from active missions or leadership roles until improvement is demonstrated.
      • Mandatory meditation or reflection exercises supervised by an instructor to reinforce the Jedi Code.
  3. Severe Infractions:
    • Examples: Endangering the lives of others, reckless use of the Force, failure to assist a team member, or behavior that directly violates the Jedi Code.
    • Consequences:
      • Formal disciplinary hearing with senior members of the academy.
      • Removal from active missions and assignment to intensive training or rehabilitation.
      • Temporary suspension from the academy, requiring reflection and improvement before readmission.
      • Probationary status for a set period, during which all actions are closely monitored.
  4. Critical Violations:
    • Examples: Intentionally using the Dark Side, causing severe harm to others, betraying the academy's values, or gross negligence resulting in major consequences.
    • Consequences:
      • Immediate removal from missions and critical activities, followed by a comprehensive evaluation by senior leadership.
      • Assignment to a period of intensive reflection, training, and guidance aimed at rehabilitation and reconnection to the Jedi path.
      • Probationary status for a defined period, during which all actions and behaviors are closely monitored by senior instructors.
      • Support through mentorship and supervised activities to help the student return to alignment with the Jedi Code, with a focus on understanding the severity of their actions and rebuilding trust within the academy.
      • Expulsion from the academy may be considered only in extreme cases where rehabilitation is unsuccessful, but this is treated as a last resort.
  5. Appeals and Restorative Justice:
    • Students may appeal decisions if they believe the disciplinary action was unjust. Appeals must be submitted in writing to the supervising instructor or leadership within a reasonable timeframe.
    • For non-critical violations, opportunities for restorative justice will be provided, allowing the student to reflect on their actions, make amends, and reintegrate into the academy through constructive contributions.
