In Umbris Potestas Est
Malachor V, Trayus Laboratory
So it was that things were evidently back to normal. The manifestation of Onrai continuing on her merry presence as Vanessa Vantai on Malachor continued in her many experiments. With samples of Bryn'adul tissue taken from her position as Triumvir, Vanessa had taken the liberty of beginning the subjection of their constructs' flesh to a number of biological and chemical agents. The rationale was obvious - an organic-based army, one using the bizarre coalescence of genetically engineered life forms to create abominable technology substitutes, had to be dealt with using anti-organic weaponry. Ion weapons were functionally useless in such an environment, though she wished dearly they had been.
Her eyes fluttered over to the remaining samples of the virus that had once traveled through the galaxy, a virus she had assisted the dead Jedi known as Aleidis Ijet with, which saved her onetime lover from the horrendous fate of beign eaten alive and having her carcass puppeteered. Even in its current state the virus was neutral, nonfunctional, and didn't so much as nibble on organic tissue samples. She had managed to break down its cellular structure, determine what its composition was, but for decades had no need to use it. After all, even the Horde were allies back when Dredge had traipsed alongside her. Yes, it was going to take a lot of careful thought to make this work.
A distraction could prove quite... problematic.
