Public Dock 4

Darth Reign watched the station come into view from within the cockpit of his lambda shuttle. Speaking to the pilot and copilot he said “have we received permission to dock? I’m curious to see if the rumors of this ‘Lilaste Order’ are true”
turning back to the Dark Lord, the pilot said “yes My Lord we have been directed to dock 4, I have us on course there now”

Reign smiled to himself, his mission here was two fold, he wanted to judge the viability of this station as a way point for The Diarchy during their excursions from Wild Space, as well as determine if the Lilaste Order would be a threat to his operations on Eos. In the best case, the Dark Lord wanted to see if there was a potential ally in this ever growing power.

Turning to his two Praetorian Guards, their black armor polished and shining, the Dark Lord commanded
“you two are to accompany as far as possible, but we are not here to aggravate our host. If your presence is not to be tolerated within the station, you are to keep guard of the shuttle” the men each gave an affirmative nod.

As the shuttle touched down, Darth Reign, in his elegant black robes and lightsaber on his hip, walked down the ramp of the shuttle, flanked by his guards in black. He appraised the hanger, seeing the ships gathered. This would make for an interesting day to be sure.

as the shuttle landed the men within would be met with a two Lilaste soldiers on either side of a dockworker. Who had a data pad in his hands. Tapping away as he imputed the information of the shuttle that had docked. such as its ID marker. the initial scans that it endured while on its way to the landing pad. and the number of passengers- or what they could detect through scans that is-

without looking up from his work the dock worker began to speak " we have been expecting you. commander Dragana Zagova Dragana Zagova has already told us that we would should be expecting a visit from you lord reign was it?" the man glanced up looking to the two guards then glanced at his own before looking back to his data pad and turning to leave, heading for a nearby checkpoint " if you would follow me. the High commander is currently giving a tour of our facility to some potential clients. i have been told to bring you to his office to wait for his arrival"

and with that the dock worker would lead Darth Reign Darth Reign through the nearest checkpoint, up the turbo lift and through the station CIC to the High commanders office.[ feel free to send your reply there or here either or]

Tru stepped off Commons Transport ship with people in front of her and behind her. Commons was one of the cheapest civilian transport systems in the galaxy and Tru didn't have much for creds so she took the line as far as she could with what little she had. That brought her to Aurora Station, at first, she was thinking of something small and cramped much like the carbonite factories above Empress Teta. Yet she was surprised as she stepped off the transport and noted the sheer size of it.

She hadn't been on a station of this size ever in her life, but then again she had seen much of the Galaxy in truth. She had followed Fulcrum Fulcrum to luxury liner wanting to learn from him about being a detective but after an outbreak of some strange disease they had to get to escape pods, and they all got separated. She tried to locate Falcrum but couldn't find him, so decided she would just return home, back to Empress Teta.

The few credits she got, got her here to this space station still so far from home. Seeing the sheer size of the station though she figured she would have an issue finding a job. Hell she would be a janitor if it meant she could get enough credits to get home. Her life there was a small existence, but it was hers, even if she didn't always like it and wanted something more at least it was a life she knew. Out here in space places she had never been before the orphan was even more lost.

She started to wander only to be stopped by military personnel. That was then she realized just how militarized this station was. They asked her what her business was. "I'm looking for a job." She said sheepishly.

The soldier shifted slightly as Tru approached, immediately noticing that she had wandered too far into the military section of the station. His eyes, sharp beneath the visor of his helmet, scanned her before his hand raised in a gesture to stop her.

"You're out of the civilian zone," he stated firmly, though not harshly. "This part of the station is restricted. If you're looking for something or someone, you're going to want to turn around."

He pointed back toward the bustling Dock 4 area, where the sounds of the marketplace and transport activity were still faintly audible. "If it's a job you're after, head back into the civilian section. You passed the recruitment center—it's near the marketplace, just before you hit the transport docks. There's a sign overhead, marked clearly with the Lilaste Order's crest."

The soldier's gaze softened a bit as he stepped aside to let her move back the way she came. "Follow the signs, and you'll find the recruitment office. The staff there will help you get sorted, no matter what kind of work you're looking for. Civilian or otherwise, we've got opportunities. Just stick to the proper zones from here on out. You don't want to get caught where you shouldn't be."

"Oh…uh sorry, I must have missed the signs." She looked behind back towards the civilian areas and then back to the guard. She then looked in the direction he was pointing for the recruitment office. "Right, thank you sir." She then turned around and started to head for the recruitment office. Maybe she should have said see you around or something to the guard, but the orphan often forgot the proper etiquette for social interactions.

Off to the recruitment office.

" to the right we have the engineering and launch bays. To the left the barracks armory, medbay and training grounds and directly forwards is the turbo lift to the station CIC and the high command offices. So what would you like to see first?"

"I'll let you decide, High Commander."

Alliances were important to have in this day and age. Shem just hoped that one more friendly on the battlefield would help turn the winds in their favor. They had a long road to walk, one that he knew would see many to their end in the name of a better future. That future was out there somewhere, caught between the threads of time. They just had to find them. Aether of the Iron Order and Knight Shem would follow the High Commander deeper into the vessel, spending the remainder of their time abroad strengthening this newly-forged friendship.

And before long the Freebird would depart, returning to the Tingel Arm.

Tella stepped out of the hired, regular "taxi" transport, a thoughtful look on her face as she descended into the regular docking bay of the Lilaste Order. She was dressed in atypical clothing for an Inquisitor of the Empire, wearing neither their uniform or their armor, but the typical modest brown and white robes of a Jedi, hood up, lightsaber in full display on her hip. She held a slight light blurring shield around her face in addition, making it so one's eyes had a hard time staying focused on it, which, in combination with the hood, should make it difficult for the casual observer to identify her. A bit of secrecy for the negotiations today, as she wished few to know of her true intentions with the Order today.

As one of the guards approached, she nodded and showed her authorization to him, where she was identified as one "Master Fraus", an appointment with Laphisto already scheduled. Glancing around while she checked the paperwork, she thought it was rather expansive and surprisingly varied for those who were ultimately mercenaries at the end of the day, but like her mother said, she suspected they aspired to be much more, and Tella ultimately could not judge. After all, a large amount of the founders of the Empire had been mercenaries, including Aculia herself, and had went on to forge something greater.

And it is also important that they remember the Empire fondly in their early days, as these are when impressions tend to last the most. Alasdair has already moved to become friendly with the Diarchy, perhaps we can strengthen our ties with the Order, at least enough where they will not take contracts opposing us. That is the best you can hope for at this stage, really, doubtless from what mother reported on Ossus they have some relations with TAC, but hopefully that is for money over ideology, and the Empire by virtue of its size likely has far deeper pockets at the end of the day, something that should bind Lilaste closer to us.

Dock 4 was a bustling commerce zone, where traders had set up their stalls and freighters continuously came and went, offloading their precious cargo. The hum of machinery, the clatter of crates being shifted, and the lively chatter of vendors filled the air. Amidst the otherwise chaotic appearance, there was a subtle but firm undertone of order and security. Guards were stationed throughout the dock, their presence a constant reminder of the Lilaste Order's vigilance, while others patrolled along the gangways above, their watchful eyes scanning the activity below.

As Tella Voland Tella Voland made her way deeper into the bay, the vibrant colors and noisy atmosphere of the commercial zone began to fade. The sounds of the marketplace grew distant, replaced by the disciplined rhythm of marching soldiers and the structured commands of officers. Ahead, the transition to a more militarized section was marked clearly by a checkpoint, where the energy of Dock 4 gave way to the regimented world of military precision.

Upon reaching the checkpoint, one of the guards stepped forward to halt her, raising a hand as she approached. "Hold there," he instructed firmly. "Identification, please."

Accepting the credentials she provided, he scanned them with a practiced eye. After a moment, he gave a satisfied nod. "Master Fraus, you're cleared for entry," he said, handing back the paperwork.

He gestured toward the nearby turbo lift, where two additional guards moved to flank her. "Proceed to the lift. It will take you up to the Command Information Center. These guards will escort you the rest of the way to High Commander Laphisto's office."

The guards took their positions on either side of her as they approached the lift, the doors sliding open with a soft hiss. As the lift ascended, the sights and sounds of Dock 4 faded away, replaced by the controlled stillness of the upper levels, where military operations and strategic command awaited.

"Master Fraus" merely nodded as the guard ushered her in with an escort, continuing to observe Dock Four as she made her way to the High Commander's office. She wondered if the mixing of military and civilian life here was done out of necessity due to the Order's comparatively limited resources compared to the major players of the galaxy or if it was a deliberate conscious choice of the inner culture of the Order. The rigid military discipline they showed would seem to indicate the former, that if they had enough resources they would separate civilian and military life far more than they did here, but perhaps there was a softer underside to the mercenary organization than she anticipated.

I wonder how long they will be able to maintain that in this ruthless galaxy, or if Laphisto will always manage to hold on to his ideals when thrown into the fire…or his position. Mother held the top position in the Empire and everything seemed so secure…until it wasn't…and then we had Velran, and the anti-Imperial reactionaries to him and his actions, although mother seems to think now it does not seem to matter if one is a "good" Imperial or a "bad" Imperial these days in the eyes of the other powers. Ultimately there will always be those who rebel against order and prefer chaos, and hopefully those in the Lilaste Order will come done on the side of the former.
