Doing It For Themselves

Joon watched as the Twi'lek quickly headed for the cockpit. She was left alone in the small hold, and sat at the side opposite the now closing door.

She looked out of the viewport while the ship roared to life and moved quickly away.

”As I said, Twi'lek,” she said aloud, ”I know the planet well.”

The atmosphere was frosty, but Joon simply acted as the Twi'lek had. From reflecting on the future of the Empire and her place, to now hitching a ride with an unknown assassin with traits of Jedi about her, Joon didn't know what she was doing. But then, she never did. She went from one situation to the next, creaating as much chaos as possible for her enemmies and as much security for her allies.

After that, she moved onto the next, often alone and again unsure.

It was the life she knew.

Stars took over the view of the planet as they sped away. Joon stayed silent, once again presented with the blanket of stars to watch as they flew to their destination.

The trip to the surface of Korriban was by and large quiet. Neither occupant saying much to the other. Silence was a language spoken all on its' own.

Sera didn't trust Joon or her ability. But the time to test that would come soon enough. Not that if she managed to survive would she think any higher of her, but at least she wouldn't have to come with an explanation to Vrak as to why this clone found herself dead during what would otherwise be a pretty simple mission. Find the cultists, kill the cultists. Destroy their hideout. Simple.

As the shuttle touched down on the red planet Seraphina called out to the woman, "We're here. Let's go."

Unstrapping from the chair she headed for the cargo ramp.

Most of the journey was spent looking out of the view port, at stars, at hyperspace, at nothing. The rest was spent looking at the Twi'lek now and then. She was strong. Very strong. And damaged.

When they arrived, Joon maintained silence as she got up to follow the woman out into the planet she had been to more times than any other. It seemed cooler.

She surveyed the landscape before them - ahead, dots seemed to flicker. A camp? A small hamlet? Joon walked forward squinting into the distance.

”These cultists,” she shouted over shoulder, ”who are they to you?”
