Dominion of Kiffex/Kiffu

Maybe it's not any one person. Or not any group of people. But as an official post regarding helping people. Make sure your comments come off as constructive.

DO NOT try to take a dominion away from someone who is excited about it. If a canon ruler has an issue with something they can come forward but these threads are for our writers. To even suggest taking someone's steam away from them because or someone who hasn't brought the concept before the faction is laughable and childish.

Yes, give tips on where they can improve the objective spread but also remember we have BYOO for a reason. If you aren't a fan of an objective don't write in it.

These objectives are not ironclad. They are designed to help a little bit on getting a dominion moving.

[member="Tionne Thanewulf"] still has the floor om how the dominion gets started. If she wants it, it's her. This dominion can go up whenever it is prepared.

It's easier to criticize than it is to create. Getting the ball moving is the hardest part of developing a faction wide thread/dominion. Even if you disagree with the objectives, go about with a sense of decency and respect. The whole point of this was to lay a template that could be modified, not set the stage and cement it's foundation. Like Bill and Ted said, "Be excellent to each other."

I, for one, welcome our Kiffar prison warden overlords.

Now I have a better feel how objectives are hammered down, thanks for the feedback.

The holocron was meant as a prize that can be given out by FA at the end of dominion. We can still do it in separate thread, I don't mind.

So, I would kindly ask [member="Kelly Perris"] to write out a set of objectives as he sees them. Please, take a few minutes and jot down something that looks sensible. Prison, farming, Kiffu Guardians. I've ommited our pilots, because I had no idea how to squeeze them in. If anyone has any other ideas, this is the time to post them.

I will, however, accept [member="Julius Sedaire"]'s help on the dev thread for holochron. Please read this and PM me with your ideas. Of course we will add stuff to the holochron. It's not going to be just 50 shades of grey. Although it would be kind of awesome to find a Jedi's Kama Sutra in there too.

I apologize for any attitude that was perceived... It wasn't directed, or meant to be, at Tionne.

However, I have just woken up from a total of like... 20 hours of sleep in the past.... 24 or so... Apparently the long weekend roughed me up.

At no point was I saying the holocron was a bad objective, just that maybe her execution was is all. I am the first to admit it's fun to quest for such things. Nor was I trying to take a dominion away from anyone. No clue how that started. Frankly I have enough of a planning role trying to prod the Corellian Jedi thing forward and prepping for Paramedic School in a couple of weeks!

EDIT: Also, while i'm down to hunt for this thing.. I really don't agree with adding anything to it Force Power or knowledge wise. Wookie and cannon makes it so it is pretty clear and concise what is on it. So i'm not really down to help in the aspect of making a sub for it or including powers on it. I'll help you find it/gain it/rescue it, so long as the story makes sense ICly. But it doesn't sit well with me to alter a holocron where we know the contents, just a personal quirk is all. So if this goes down in the Dom or a separate thread, feel free to tag me.

I think its a great idea to weave it into the dominion along with the rest of the faction as well. I'm sure we can organize something so that the dominion/territory gain isn't slammed because it would make sense for the holocron search to happen while we are all on the planet.

Alright, [member="Tionne Thanewulf"]! Here's those objectives!

Objective A (Kiffex): Due to the loss of Omega Protectorate oversight and increasing criminal activity in the Kiffu sector, the Kiffu Guardians have been tightening security measures across the prison colonies on Kiffex, and prisoner riots have ensued. In particular, the one prison compound that holds the most dangerous and amoral of prisoners in Kiffu sector has suffered a failure of prisoner containment, resulting in a large-scale outbreak of such prisoners who are now attacking other prison colonies across the planet. Of interest is [member="Vittras Zerga"], rumoured to be innocent of the crimes for which he was initially imprisoned. Apprehend him, and aid the Guardians in containing the threat of other prisoners... if they can be made willing to accept assistance, that is.

Objective B (Kiffex): While a prison world, the soil is quite fertile, making it good for development of agriculture, a possibility that hasn't be explored due to the focus on maintaining prisoner containment. Get in touch with Kiffar Officials and work towards developing the agricultural possibilities of Kiffex, as a crucial part of our war effort. Suggestion: bring up the possibility of involving prisoners in agriculture as part of societal rehabilitation programs.

Objective C (Kiffu): Long in the past, many energy spiders were smuggled to Kiffu, which in turn has made glitterstim and the accompanying drug trade a pervasive entity on the planet. Recent conflict between the Kiffar and the forces of the local drug lord, [insert name here], a subordinate of [insert name here] the Hutt, has caused significant damages, including to the energy harnessing systems, just in time for the electrical storms caused in Kiffu's atmosphere due to the two planets being brought close together due to their orbits. Apprehend and question the drug lord to uncover his connections, and aid in repairs to the energy harnessing systems.

Objective D (Kiffu/Kiffex): BYOO! Bring your own objective! Maybe visit the Busted Blaster, a spacer's bar on Kiffex where scum of the earth drink themselves under the table. Meet some of your favorite scoundrels (feel free to invite your bounty hunter and mercenary friends) and engage in a real, live brawl. Otherwise, do whatever you like! Explore the twin worlds! Fill your boots!
