Dominions

All - We've reached the 100 post requirement for the dominion, however if you wish to continue posting for IC story feel free! I've made the post on the map updates thread so that it will be recorded.
 
I would like to suggest Alaskan for the next dominion.

Sitting right next to Brentaal IV (though not actually on the map yet and its specific position is debatable since the map is a bit messed up compared to others) it gives us a world other people have requested since the beginning as well. So that is an extra bonus as well.

As well I would like to make the thread a development thread for us to gain ships of the Alaskan Navy. In canon they had such ships at least mentions were made in the time of the Old Republic. I would be very excited to develop the ships and say that the Alaskan Navy joins the ranks of the Republic Defense Force to give us new powerful ships to fill the ranks.

Also its where I wanna make a senator from. *coughs*

Antar has been completed and posted in the map thread updates. (Of course, as always, you are welcome to continue posting in that dominion, should you choose to continue whatever story you have going.)

At current, that leaves only the dominion of Mimban remaining. Congrats everyone on all of the work that has been accomplished recently!

In a month we secured Antar, Terrijo, and Zeltros!

I would advise that we hold off on further dominions until the Invasion of Telti is complete. I don't want to risk burning everyone out with dominions while a critical invasion is ongoing, unless this is something you all wish to do. In which case, we can discuss the next course of action. However I would like to keep it fresh in everyone's mind that we do still need to finish securing our southern hemisphere if we successfully retain that area post-invasion. (Zeltros hopefully secured that for us either way, but we can't be 100% certain.)
 
Ok in the mean time I would like to work with [member="Terra Harkin"] on some pre Dominion plot before doing the actual Dominion. That way she can still RP her character as she wants her to be without having to scrap anything during what I hope will be a brief breather

I think part of the problem is people are concerned that if the Invasion decision goes against us it will all be for naught! But I agree, we should get it going regardless of the outcome!!
 
Not because I have a horse in the race or anything buuuuut Saleucami is my vote as well. Just built brand new shipyards there along with other facilities for my company, and I'd rather they are under Republic protection than potentially at the risk of the Hutt Cartel when that gets major
 
We have Zeltros, which I personally think should help us save some of the southwestern area for us.

I personally think we still need to add depth in the south, so I would vote for Umbara or Tarhassan.

I will support anything, and if we go to Saleicami I would recommend working our way back towards Ruusan and give us some depth on the Southeast.

Though I have a very dark suspicion that the next invasion will be Onderon.
 
Possible Objectives for Umbara (Critiques please)

1) Consecration: Umbara was once the site of a major Sith Academy for assassins. The area surrounding the academy is dark, darker than the norm for the surface of Umbara. Deep in the catacombs of the Sith Academy are dark relics that are polluting the area around the academy. Delve into the Sith Academy, be wary of possible traps and dark denizens, find the four dark relics and either place them in cases provided by the Jedi Order that will dampen the aura of the relics or destroy the relics. Destruction may have unknown risks.

2) Bunker Buster: Dissidents have holed up in CIS era bunkers on Umbara. They are known to be responsible for pirate activities in the local area, commerce raiding, inciting dissent on nearby Republic planets and other disreputable things. The bunkers are Grek, Usk and Krill. The numbers and abilities of the dissidents are....(expand me). Use caution, root out the leadership and bring them to justice.

3) Flight Fight: In the space around Umbara, commerce has come to a stand still due to the naval entities of the groundbased dissidents. Republic Naval forces are to come in and pacify the region. Attempt negotiation first, but if not a good outcome is not probable, take the fight to them. (Maybe get the Jackals to fight us again here?)

Good job! I think these are seriously awesome, but in my opinion are too action-centered (two adventure objectives and one negotiation-probably-turn-into-a-fight objective). I'd suggest recovering the former Jedi Shadow HQ as an additional objective. Slightly more peaceful than the other three.
