Don't Pay The Ferryman [Silver Jedi Order Dominion of Dellalt]

Dellalt

Occupational Health and Safety was not a department within the Silver Jedi, not to Jedi generally but on the planet of Dellalt it was an issue. Over several months the government of this planet had become increasingly concerned with reports of corruption not only within it's own ranks but in the corporations and mining companies that have set up shop on their shores. The local government had welcomed the new comers knowing the benefits of business for it's people. The creation of jobs and increase in life style as a result would help their people prosper, and of course there is always the trickle down effect to benefit those on the periphery of the major companies.

But something was rotten in the state of Dellalt.

And the Silver Jedi had been invited to come and investigate the claims. Dellalt had not seen any trouble or interference from corruption or groups looking to cause disruption and so there had been no need for the Silvers to intervene in local affairs but not the authorities had lost control and issued the call for help. The Silver Jedi had sent ahead a small fleet of medical ships packed with healers and medical supplies just in case. And following them would be the delegation to disperse to all three continents in order to get to the bottom of things.

J'uock's Mining Camp - A small group of criminals have reopened the old mines. Although they pay their workers in order to not draw attention to themselves, it is minimal wages and the conditions are substandard. It is all but slavery and many unaccounted deaths have occurred. Occupational Health and Safety is a real issue. The local government have asked the Silver Jedi to investigate the rumours that their people have been poorly treated and solve the issue. Medics will be required to ascertain the health of the workers once freed.

Only The Penitent Man or Woman Shall Pass - South Continent. A treasure hunt within the old ruins of the Vaults. Explore on the South Continent and discover the remains of the Queen of Ranroon, this find will give you a clue to discovering the location of the vaults. Beware the false vaults for they are riddled with traps, for Xim was very clever and hid his treasures well.

Brotherhood of Darkness - North Continent. Fleeing the core, some of the members of the One Sith have come to Dellalt to resurrect the Brotherhood of Darkness. They have corrupted the local government officials who turn a blind eye to them and their business dealings with providing the miners in J'uock's camp with slave workers. The corruption on Dellalt is wide spread.

Anno Forte Quest - Two Jedi, Knight Siadem Forte and Padawan Anno were executed under Order 66. Pay homage to them and you might just discover more then you bargained for.

I object to the objectives! - Do your own thing, and enjoy writing a story.

Objective: An army of Light to defeat the Brotherhood of Darkness.

The Sith, as always fond of defiling jedi things they had taken over an old long abandoned jedi training facility to call home. The local government offered some of it’s own troops enough for what was needed. Catherine also brought along a group of Jedi knights to join her. They however had no intention of hiding or sneaking about, no she wanted the siths normal confidence to undo them. So she endeavored to march them forward to the old grounds and take back what the Jedi lost so long ago. Her saber as they drew close ignited soon followed by others. As the sun set on the world so would begin once more a battle older than everyone on the planet. Light and Dark would face off once more.

While this battle if one called it such was nothing like the conflicts of old it held all the same intensity. Neither side was left to want for soldiers or force users. No it was simply a both sides settling a score that was old as the galaxy itself. As she marched up with her force along the steps to the old Jedi temple they met a group coming forward to meet them. Sith, battle droids, mercenaries who had fallen in line. At the lead was their so called Master. He looked to Catherine with a Smile. “How Bombastic, jedi marching to battle. How undiplomatic of you.” He said mocking her.

She looked to him. “I bring a message. Ghosts of the past call out for us to give it to you. From Lord Hoth down the line of Jedi for a thousand generations. Tonight the Brotherhood of Darkness dies for good. And like in days past I bring an Army of Light to do it!” With that it all went to heck. As each side broke ranks and moved. Droids and mercs and local troops moved to take cover or advantageous positions. Jedi and sith went after each other. And amid this small skirmish Catherine and the master of the little covenant went for each other.

As their sabers clashed it began a new. Light Vs Dark, Jedi VS Sith.

Krass had arrived the padawan was working with many of the things from the tech division itself and she had brought many of the things to help with it. A chance to discover for new information with her master. This was a chance or for anyone who wanted to join them and help in the discovery. Her saber was there and ready as she touched it. Between her work constructing it with her master and testing it out in the temple on Asop the padawan had been getting a fair amount of work on it. The hilt attached as an extension of the hammer she carried on her hip. Her wrist scanner and screen displaying everything around here in the vaults themselves. Her mim's eye set up to search around and explore on the world. She was bringing up more things to get information for her master Sorel.

Eastern Continent - The Ferryman

------------------------------------

On the shores of the lake in the midst of the night, Nina and Coci wait for the arrival of the ferryman to come. He will transport them across the waters to the south where they will head to investigate the vaults. They had been meeting with the local people, in the villages and as far as they could tell the corrupt had not reached their shores as yet, maybe it was distance or that they had nothing to offer but whatever the reason they remain unchanged. The investigations of the Silver Jedi would uncover all the issues they hoped and so they would join the Silvers shortly. Coci wrapped her cloak about her body, there was chill in the air that seep into the skin, and she watched as the moon's rays undulated on the surface of the blackened waters.

Eventually, the sound of splashing in the water heralded the impeding arrival of the boat and a figure standing with a long pole was cut against the night. He was not alone however, for behind him arrived several more boats all destined for other places and ferry those that wait. The was a small group with Nina and Coci, some with bags filled with belongs, others not as they traveled light. And one by one the boats bow scrapped against the shore as they arrived.

"Heavenshield", was the only word they heard from a deep low voice to indicate which of the boats was theirs. Coci pointed down the shore so that Nina could make her way toward it. And with hand in her's "I guess that is us". Naturally it would be.

"Good evening", Coci addressed the man, her head lowered a little in order to see his face under the cowl but could not. And he said nothing. And once they settle in their seats, the man pushed off the shore with one heavy heave of the pole before the boat began to make its way among the deadened trees of the lake. The atmosphere did not seem to invite conversation, the only sound around them was the lapping water against the side of the boat and in this moment Coci was pleased that communication would be done in 'silence'.

Skev. Honoka had been looking to the whole Master apprentice thing but. here it was they sent her to the mines.
" Uay you;r a Mando you like getting dirty and all that. go look out this mine we heat the owners are CHOOBIES go check them out. " she swore to herself.
still she has Meran Mechanics credentials so she could pass off as a interested party looking for the Duranium the mine produced.
looking at the equipment from afar the equipment was well below standard.
Honoko approached on a speeder in semi full armor. unfortunately Alusteel instead of Beskar.

Audren did not agree with how this was done. Not with how it was planned, not with how it was carried out. Yes, they were Sith. Remnants of the One Sith who had fled the destruction and coalesced here on Dellat. Yes, they had taken over a Jedi training facility. There was a good chance they had involved themselves in the government and maybe even in the rumored slave trade. But none of that negated the requirement of Jedi to offer them the chance to surrender. Even if it wasn't taken, it still needed to be offered or they were no better than the Sith themselves.

He, however, was not the primary on this one. That position had been filled by another. He would stay in the background and step in as leadership only if he deemed it necessary. It wouldn't be difficult, his disguise was still in place from the Galactic Alliance mission to Devaron, and his interactions with the Knight leading the operation were next to non-existant.

The execution happened just like was planned. The group of Jedi and soldiers arrived just around sunset, gathered in force rather than spread out to surround the area. As the Silver Jedi group ascended the stairs, they were met by a mixed group of Sith, droids, and mercenaries. He might not like how it was done, but the requirement for warning was given, it wasn't just a straight ambush. Still, the Knights words were uncalled for, they spoke of revenge and hatred rather than the offer to surrender. But by then it was too late, battle was joined.

The Sephi was taking a different step with this battle, trying to widen his abilities somewhat. Rather than typical armor he wore his minorly lightsaber-resistant robes, instead a full armory he carried just a few weapons. His lightsaber of course, the typical pistol, and nothing else. Well, except for the light-shield. The blade in his right hand, pistol in his left, and shield gauntlet on his left wrist. He rushed forward with the rest, moving to meet the line of Sith, themselves sprinting to battle.

Tyluko could not believe it, he only joined the Silver Jedi a mere few days ago and already he was on a mission on behalf of the Order. He felt a great honor and he was truly excited to have this opportunity. He had recently stopped back home on his planet of Mon Cala to collect supplies before heading out. His battle Droid OOM-7795 or "Oomy" for short insisted that Tyluko let him tag along. But he knew the droid was just trying to get out of helping Iris build their house. Besides, Tyluko felt that he should embark on this mission by himself. The Aqua Dragon jumped out of the blue white tunnel of hyperspace and into the Dellalt system. The planet was covered in a mixture of plains and mountains, with a series of large lakes dotting the landscape. "Peaceful" Was the word that first came to the Dolphinarian's mind when he looked upon world; however it was anything but that.

The Silver Order was here because the planet was ensnared within a rather sinister web; a web of corruption, slavery, tragic history and even Dark Side influence. The Silver Jedi were here to untangle that web and bring a little light to combat the darkness. While other members of the Order were helping troubled miners, investigating ancient vaults or combating agents of the dark-side; Tyluko was here on a mission to shed a little light on events that happened during the Clone Wars. Apparently during the later stages of the war several Jedi and Clone Troopers were dispatched to the planet to combat Separatist forces in the outer rim but that was when things started to really go downhill and Order 66 was initiated. Sure this mission was not as glamorous as fighting Sith but Tyluko welcomed it all the same, besides he was eager to learn all that he could and he felt this was a perfect way to do it. "The Force will guide me"

Dellalt had, in its heyday, been a prominent member of a strategic cluster during the pre-Republic phase known locally as the Expansionist Period. That importance had run its course many centuries ago. Trade routes, due to hyperspace improvements had increased ships’ ranges. Adding in competition, social dislocation, and the realigning power centres had long since demoted the planet to a seldom taken side-trip, isolated even from the rest of the Tion Hegemony.

Its surface boasted far more water than soil but one thing of note were still the treasure vaults. Around the vaults stood Dellalt’s single largest population concentration, a small city.

Sadly now all that the city boasted were broken monorail pylons and once grand buildings, falling back to dust and overgrown with thick dendroid vines. Recent construction was sparse, poorly planned, and done with crude materials.

Port officialdom was non-existent; the bureaucracy would have been an unprofitable expense and so when Sorel arrived, she estimated from the condition of the landing area that it saw no more than three or four landings per Dellaltian year – probably just patrol ships and the occasional marginal tramp trader. The planet’s year was half again as long as a Standard one, with a shorter-than-Standard mean day. Gravity was slightly more than Standard, but since she had adjusted her ship’s gravity during the flight, she scarcely noticed it now.

And now she joined her Padawan as they considered the best first steps for exploration. She looked to Krass for guidance, her apprentice much better placed to inform them of what the employed technology told them.

Honoko approsched the guards.
"Honoko Meran of Meran Mechanics. Your boss is expecting me. " She introduced scanning the area in her HUD. there were a few decent heavy laser turrets.
the guards were armed with E-11's not good.
still the best thing was calling in ahead with a Legit offer.
admittedly her first instincts was violent. this was more effective.
there she was a short fat Zeltron.
"Zalanna J'uock? " she asked offering a hand. " I'm Honoko Meran from Clam Meran and Meran Mechanics. im here to inspect our new Acquisition. ans i take pleasure in letting you know this mine's reputation precedes it. " as soon as the request to investigate the mine came in she coordinated with Kami to buy out the owners.

Krass stood there with her master as she breathed in with a look on her face. Prepared for anything but she brought out the Mim's eye. the blue kyber crystal screen gleaming as it radiated the force energies from it. If there was anything here it might have a force signature and they would be able to see or maybe find where it was located.... Then it would just be a matter of getting into the place or figuring out what they might have. Krass was looking at her master as she spoke. Standing tall and proud in the silver robes... they came with a cape that was always cool and large pockets where she could keep her whole mead thing from the valkyri. Taking one of the bottles out and taking the top off of it while she was going. "Got this from a valkyri last night. Drank her under the table and was still able to get down here." She grinning seeing her master and on her hip was her saber as the hilt of it gleamed the energy that had gone into making it was well worth it as it was desh-terethium and hardened duraplast so it was protected from emp and ion weapons. Lightsaber resistant and able to handle a great deal of damage. The casing made waterproof and with everything they had here. "There wasn't a lot on the world I could find in the archives, the jedi hadn't come here a lot." She still moved though sending out the small mini drones there to map the area.

As the fight began in earnest she deflected the Dark Lords saber strikes as they both moved. She was using her typical Djem So style mostly with Form III mixed in for additional defense while the Sith Lord used Djem So with a apparent mix of what she suspected was Juya. Amid this the plan she had devised began in full the local soldiers set up Heavier repeater blasters and began to fire on the droids and mercs using the positions taken to give them fire support and superior cover for the normal infantry they had. Meanwhile one Sith would fall only for a Jedi to fall too eventually as each dueled and jockeyed to try to better aid each other. But as this all occurred Audren Sykes if he were perceptive would see Catherine and the Sith Lord already moved deeper into the training facility in their duel. Both seemed focused on each other. Aroudn them the force swirled and undulated violently as if fighting amongst itself. As one of the acolytes tried to get a shot in Catherine simply leapt up and sliced one of the near by droids as she used it to spring off and cut the younger sith down. Another Jedi tried to assist her only for the sith Lord to strike him with a burst of lighting sending him screaming off one of the ledges.

The fight itself was going the Jedi’s way the battle droids and Mercs all were being limited in effectiveness by the position they laid out. One of the Squads of mercs however began to move to reposition changing to get a better more clear sector of fire back at the attacking force. Also the Sith themselves and their forces slowly backed up into the training facility more to get cover and prolong the conflict. Before long the local forces began to regroup and try to decide how best to enter without falling into traps or fire zones the enemy no doubt had. The other Jedi also did similar not perusing too much into the training grounds save a scant few. Most went to attend to wounded or fallen and reorganize. This was ironically Catherine’s plan if they had done this however she herself had not stayed back. She perused the Sith Lord. The two continued to battle deeper into the inner sanctum, here old statues of Jedi masters lay broken or deteriorating. She swung striking at him but he blocks and counters managing to strike her robes and armor. Both were extremely resistant however she still felt a brief sting crying out briefly before she went back into it. As her saber clashed with his he pushed against her using his strength as she then leapt up over him and aimed another strike.

Most of what the Sith had going for them was numbers in this case. The droids added mass blaster fire to their side, while the mercenaries were savvy enough to take any tactical advantages they could. Meanwhile, the Sith outnumbered the Jedi almost two to one. Some squared off against their Jedi foes, clearly having enough sway to push others off and prevent them from stealing the kills. Others just ganged up on the Jedi, pressing them hard.

Then there were the few combatants like Audren. He moved from engagement to engagement with scarcely a pause between each. The first Sith to approach him brought the lightsaber down in a vicious overhand strike, which was countered by a subtle redirection to the side. A twist of the wrist brought the Sephi's orange blade around to cut halfway through the falling arm, then down and across the Sith's torso. The twist at the waist that allowed that was continued, with the lightshield stopping a bisecting strike cold, then even further as the tip of his lightsaber pierced the Sith's heart. A little waggle with that, just centimeters in either direction, put a quick completion to a certain death.

The recovery - placing him back in line with his original trajectory, brought his gun into line with a Sith who'd just cut down a Padawan. She gave the gun a contemptuous glance and blocked the first bolt...and her expression changed as her lightsaber was pushed further than anticipated by the kinetic impact of a particle beam. The next two bolts pierced her torso and ended her threat. Three Sith downed in as many seconds, but this fight was just getting started. This was the vanguard; the inside would be riddled with traps and prepared for the incursion. The smarter warriors, the better ones, would by and large be found within, waiting for the Jedi to tire themselves on the first line.

She had come to the planet to give it a very nice feel.. wanting to expand and help out the jedi where she could when she was looking around. "THis isn't so bad." Well the planet seemed simple enough and given its location it was mostly there in the galax out of the way from big events and conflicts. The mine here was someting to check out with another padawan as they were just looking and investigating conditions. THere wasn't supposed to be hostility or problems that would be coming after them and that was a very important thing to note in her mind as she walked seeing Honoko. "Are you the other padawan who came to investigate here?" Revy asked it standing there as she brushed at the black and sillver robes.

Stephanie Swail felt sick to the stomach.

She looked up as the Ranger told her to get out, and nodded quickly, pushing up from her seat and heading down the ramp to the soft ground below. The transport took off seconds after, cutting a trail through the night sky to return when the order came.

Animals chirped in the distance and her breathing was loud in her ears.

Steph hadn’t seen Grace for weeks now, and felt truly alone in the Silver Jedi. She had struggled to interact with many, and struggled to find help in training. Struggled in all aspects.

Walking on, she leant against a tree trunk and held her stomach before fumbling to hold her blonde hair back as best she could before vomiting. And then again.

As the cold sweat plastered her brow, she rolled her eyes and ran her hand over her face, before blinking a few times and walking on. She didn’t feel good at all – anxiety and fear were bad things to have in the service of the Jedi, she knew that much.

And now she had snuck on a transport heading out to help a planet nearby, and now she was without guidance or help. Her legs shaking, the girl wiped her brow again and felt overly warm in her blue and white jumpsuit. Even a regulation Silver Jedi lightsaber by her side didn’t help. The shield she wore across her back however provided some comfort she could help if she came across trouble.
Fat lot of help she’d –

She doubled over again…but calmed herself quickly.

”Force sake, get a GRIP.”

An engine streaked by above, red and yellow flashing lights on the wings of the transport catching her eye. Steph stood, watching it fly, and headed in the way it went.

Sorel smiled. Krass seemed so full of energy and enthusiasm and seemed none the worse for wear considering her admission of a heavy drinking session the night before.

Sorel looked down at her boots. The journey here had been messy. Pavement laid when the vaults were new had been chewed and disintegrated by use and time. The streets were rutted and hard-packed in the middle and muddy along the sides where slops had been dumped from overhanging windows. Although Sorel kept along the middle, she could not help but get splashed from time to time.

But now they were at the vaults and Krass was in her element. According to the records she’d been able to access, the vaults were contained within a sprawling complex of interlocking structures, immensely thick-walled and, in their day, impervious to forced entry. Still, thieves had gotten in over the years and, finding only empty vaults, yawning treasure chambers, and waiting bins and unoccupied shelves, had soon departed.

Only the occasional wanderer or scholar of the obscure came here to tour the vaults now. The galaxy was rich in sights and marvels more worthy of seeing and easier to reach; there was little of allure in the haunted emptiness here.

“Lead on,” Sorel said, wondering how likely they were to find something that countless others had failed to do.

Krass was looking at her master who was presenting some of it for them. She could feel the force somewhat around the area when she had her hammer with the extended hammer there. She could feel some fo the force when walking through it with her small stature grabbing one of the banana flavored bottles for herself. "A little hair of the shivistian" Hahaha she thought to herself where she wanted to move. Seeing the worn stone with her hand holding up the glowrod to illuminate the vault. The small droids were feeding information with sonic mappers and flood lights all around for them. Where they would be able to see more of it. "Alright this way I think." She wasn't exactly certain, she was seeing how large of an area they could work with to start and search. Go somewhere that didn't look like it had been opened and searched.

Tyluko eventually entered the planet's atmosphere, and eased his fighter towards his destination. He could sense the vast amount of life on the planet and was eager to encounter more. However suddenly he felt a cold, ominous feeling overshadow him; it chilled his spine and made his head tendrils twitch. The Dark Side. He could sense that somewhere on the planet a confrontation between the light and the dark had begun. "May the Force be with you fellow Jedi" Tyluko thought to himself.

In time the sensation had passed and Tyluko was able to bring his mind back into focus. He could not forget that he too had a duty to perform on this planet, and he needed to stay mindful. "Stay focused on the moment" he reminded himself. He looked out the side of his fighter and noticed a clearing in the forest that ran along the lake shore. Slowly Tyluko eased the Aqua Dragon down into the clearing landing his fighter gently on the ground. He eased the cockpit open and stepped out into the strange, unfamiliar world. There was a slight breeze in the air, whisking through the treetops making them sway back and forth. The light from the planet's twin moons reflected off the shimmering surface of the lake, bringing light to an otherwise dark night.

Tyluko was rather exhausted after his long journey and frankly he needed to replenish the moisture levels in his skin. He didn't realize how troublesome it could be at times keeping himself hydrated. Luckily this planet had an abundant supply of that, it wasn't salt water but it would manage. Tyluko outstretched his arm focusing the Force around him, keeping his mind concentrated on the water. He used his Force-hydrokinesis to draw water out of the lake forming it into a small orb and then letting it fall over his head and trickle down his body. He shook his dolphin-like head and smiled as he once again felt replenished. He wondered what his fellow Jedi might think when they see how he used the Force. Would they think it strange? Sure, it was different but that was how his people used the Force; to connect with the water, to mold and shape it. It was who he was. "Hey snap out of it! You are letting your mind wander again, stay focused you have a job to do!" He scolded himself.

He went over to his fighter to grab what he needed. He grabbed a comlink in case he ran into trouble and also a med pack....also in case there was more (Painful) trouble. He grabbed his Tactical Fighting blade and put it in its sheathe attached to his hip. He finally grabbed just a simple cloak pulling it over his head. He turned around and began to head along the bank following the lake shore only stopping for a brief moment to pick up a walking stick. He wasn't exactly sure where he was going, but he was certain the Force would show the way.

Drip........

Drip.......

Drip.......

The mere second between each drop of water that went from the branch to the small pool was like an eternity to the Chiss as he let himself be one with the Cosmos. The illusion of time melted away and he was left with tranquil serenity. How long had he been in this courtyard, sitting with his legs crossed? To him it could have been as long as a lifetime or as short as a minute, but to the outside world it had been a week. There was something to be said for just stopping and doing nothing. One could do more with nothing than many could do with excess, the Chiss knew this well.

He felt a tug on the fringes of his existence. A small voice, a call as it were. He trained his eye upon it, his perception of reality floating along with it, the small voice he heard grew louder and louder. At last a small glimmer of light appeared alongside the harmonious sound. In a moment he had come to feel more than see the small light warp into a massive existence in and of itself, wrapping around him.

He stood before a small shrine, carved from natural rocks incorporated into the mountainous area around him. There were two statues, half the size of a normal human carved roughly from the rocks. Time and weather had worn away their finer features but they were still very distinguishable as humanoid. And in a moment, Akio was once more back in the courtyard.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

He opened his eyes, retrieving his ultrachrome monk's spade that lay by his side. His thin armor already clad his body, his blades and whip-chain were both stored within his sash. His face set in a determined stare, he set out into the countryside.

As the other soldiers and jedi all began to regroup and move inside deeper more slowly and cautiously the only major sound to be heard was the clashing of sabers deeper inside. As they swept rooms for traps or ambushes the teams worked in tandum to ensure their path was clear. They used mixed teams to ensure nobody could pick off any one group as easily. Eventually small brief firefights or saber attacks would go off as they encountered resistance. The slow clearing of the facilities was now begun and it was not a task to be taken lightly. Each team began to ensure they kept some distance so they could guard the rear of the forward most teams from attacks.

Meanwhile as most of the brotherhood forces fought or worked to defend positions the apprentice of the Dark Lord himself watched. He was as yet too young to fight a jedi though he could fight. He watched as his master fought Catherine. But he had believed the enemy of the sith would be powerful looking warriors and while Catherine was strong and obviously kept in shape she didn’t look like a towering emotionless paragon of a decaying order. But he could see his master exerting himself more than he’d ever witnessed. What he only felt ever so slightly was what his master felt full on. Her robes were making him feel ill almost, meanwhile he tried to use his own powers to enhance himself and push against Catherine’s mental defenses. He had no plans to try and break her he already determined this was foolish to try but if it evened his odds it helped. But he was struggling. As he moved to a more conservative makashi stance he began to try to be more efficient with his efforts to compensate. Catherine meanwhile began to go more aggressive her djem so began to be mixed with ataryu flipping, jumping and otherwise moving in ways to enhance her strikes. As she continued she eventually got one blow in sending him staggering back with a grunt. His apprentice his emotions getting to him shouted. “MASTER!” Those emotions were his undoing as he tried to come out of hiding saber up and swung at Catherine causing her to jump back.

“Kid! Back up! This isint you’re fight! Whatever poison this mans told you isint going to help you!” Suddenly another voice.

“CEASE! I told you boy! This is not your fight.” The boy stopped looking almost hurt. He looked to Catherine. “She is beyond you yet, remember what I told you about this fight?” The boy nodded.

“Y-you said to watch to learn.” The man stood fully nodding.

“Yes you think before you is a young woman pretty and serene but I promise you before you is a jedi Knight, one of the most deadly warriors in the galaxy if trained right. The would be girl to you before us could destroy a hundred battle droids in combat. She is beyond you at this time, do not consider it weakness to know your limits consider it a weakness if you do not push those in time. But many a foolish sith have charged into battle unprepared to die like the fools they were. Back away and observe. Today you see what it means for the Sith and the jedi to face each other. Do not mistake this for one of their new padawans. This is a jedi who has seen war and conflict and she has trained herself to handle it. Tell me jedi who trained you? What master do I owe the pleasure of thanking for a foe worthy to show my student what he will face in your order?”

She looked back the same steele determination he had on his face. “There have been a few naming them all would be pointless. I study wherever knowledge is to be found. But above all else every one of them taught me the same lesson, where to place my faith and my trust when all else crumbled. My ally is the Force. With it I can grow beyond my limitations, with it as my ally I am greater than the single person before you. Because so long as I am an ally with the force I am not alone.” She spoke confident.

He nodded. “So it is and indeed it has made you strong but I sense fear in you, hate, anger. They still remain in you even if you have buried them.” She shook her head.

“You sense an echo of what has been, those feeling exist as shadows of themselves. I have accepted they exist but I have chosen no longer to let them cloud my thoughts. Instead I chose to be at peace with my past, even if it still hurts somedays.” With that she moved in and took several strikes which the sith parried skillfully before making his own strikes forcing her on the defense. As they both continued however the sith Lord felt the ill feeling take it’s toll on him. His own hate and anger could not fully shut it out, for now he persevered onward but he needed to end this. He began to gathering the energy needed and threw a blast of lighting at her forcing her to use her saber for defense. As she deflected this she then called upon her own abilities sending a focused powerful blast of force energy sending the sith flying through one of the pillars knocking him over. Grunting he began to stand up as she did. They moved toward each other and each struck striking into each others sabers with a loud clash. Now fighting amid the old council chambers each pushed against the other. “I….Will…not become that monster I saw. You already became the thing you feared.” She backed off then came in fast striking hard into his shoulder sending him stumbling some as he swung back the two moving onward into the duel. But slowly surely despite his efforts the sith apprentice who in his own way prayed for his masters victory watched the man he looked up to begin to falter. He fought still but where normally he’d use the force more he was using it all to keep the strange feeling from him. But soon enough he realized what it was. Her robes they were making him struggle to stay up to full ability. He doubted every sith would feel this way but he did as he’d not paid close enough attention. His own mistake and he cursed himself for such foolishness.

As their duel continued he tried saber dueling tricks turning off his saber making a swing of hers miss he turned it back on and aimed a swipe only for her robes and armor to allow it to bounce off only lightly wounding her making he cry out as she rolled aside. Catherine was herself feeling some energy leaving her from exerting herself even with the force helping her for so long. As she moved around jumping over him she came down to strike only for him to parry and counter forcing her back again. And so the duel went on. Where once great Jedi spoke and gave knowledge now an ancient fight played out yet again as if to stain the ideals of those old jedi.
