As the trio walked in and following the banker woman on a distance, Brie tried to keep herself from looking around in pure amazement at the folk there, very expensive looking dresses, and more importantly the massive amount of food tidily arranged on long and pretty decorated tables. A variety of canapées and other finger-food, bowls filled to the brim with fresh and exotic fruit, cold cut meat that looked juicy as ever. Even Tel, the chef of the Blue Flame must have been impressed with all of this if he were here, Brie thought as she felt her mouth water at the heavenly sight. Brie never knew she liked food that much, until
Daiya
invited her to Tel's kitchen. Compared to the dull rations on her salvage tips or while on messy missions with Darkwire, she had been invited to a whole other world of sensations that night.
Just then, and like reading Brie's mind, Ruby suggested that they might as well help themselves. More like raiding the smorgasbord silently screaming at them to come over. Brie could notice the same longing gaze in her sisters eyes. It would not come as a surprise if they shared that same interest. They were of the same flesh and blood, after all.
''Uh, yeah. Just a small bite. We got time for a snack, right Daiya?'' Brie said, looking between her two companions, struggling to keep her legs from walking over before she had received a green light from her best friend. She got it much easier than expected. In Brie's eyes, Daiya used to be very conscientious towards their missions. A young but capable and unyielding leader in many ways, even though they all had to stand down every now and then and trust the older members and associates of Darkwire, like the time they ventured down the Abyss of Denon. If someone knew how to have fun though, it was Daiya. In the next moment, Brie were being tugged along towards the land of food.
Brie grabbed a white plate, trying to decide where to start, which was easier said than done. Eventually, her eyes zoned in on the shrimpi mix canapées and loaded the plate with one... no, two... well, you don't want to go for seconds, so she made it three... Sticking to the sea food theme, for this plate, she also grabbed a few with thinly sliced and raw spiced fish on it. Brie threw a discreet glance at the banker woman and her company, before speaking to Daiya and Ruby.
''I agree. We got to find out who he is. Got any clues what that Hentz woman were talking about? Those endeavors on Quarzite might be?'' she asked but made sure nobody were eavesdropping on them.
