[*]Accessibility: As the primary military installation on Rhen Var, only members of the Sith Brotherhood or Imperial Military with the proper clearance are granted access to the base's grounds.
[*]Description: A towering edifice of Imperial glory, Dreypa's Peak serves as the central Imperial command center for the Tobali System. Constructed out of light gray durasteel and reinforced with turadium alloy, the fortress blended well against the backdrop of snow-dusted mountains and the bright blue skyline. The apex of the fortress itself rose several hundred meters above the peak of the mountain it was built upon, and was the focus for the fortress' shield generator and the war room for the local commanding officers.
The lower levels of the fortress actually wound down through the mountain, a labyrinthine catacomb of stark hallways, storage facilities, detention wings, and legionnaire training grounds. Far beneath those were spacious caverns still holding their natural shape and composition, massive energy collectors digging deep into vast pits of molten magma and lakes of boiling water. It was through these natural reservoirs that Dreypa's Peak sustained itself, converting natural geothermal energy into usable power for the entire base.
POINTS OF INTEREST
- The Peak: The highest point of Drepya's Peak is reserved for the acting Brigadier General's personal quarters, his command center, and a small hangar for his personal shuttle. The entire Peak's supports are reinforced with turadium while a smaller shield generator protects the peak from both energy and kinetic attacks.
- The Bailey: Encircling the Inner Keep is a string of courtyards and assembly yards known collectively as the Bailey. These are where the soldiers of Dreypa's Peak train, mingle and perform loyalty rallies at the behest of their commanding officers. Corporal punishment is often carried out in the Bailey, with whippings and crucifixion being the most common practices.
- The Inner Keep: The hive center of Drepya's Peak, the Inner Keep contains the entire nerve center of the Empire's presence in the Tobali system. The barracks, mess halls, recreation centers, armories, detention cells, and other key base areas.
- The Vehicle Bays: Located beneath the Inner Keep, the vehicle bays store the entirety of the base's vehicular manpower. Walkers stand silent and waiting between rows of stacked mechanical crates and maintenance ladders, while TIEs hang from their magnetic racks. While the ground vehicles exit through a series of reinforced doors, the TIEs are funneled out through gated chutes in the ceiling with the aid of power tractor beams.
- Geothermal Depths: Deep below Drepya's Peak are large caverns and hallowed out grottos that contain the base's source of energy, harvested by geothermal generators submerged in scalding springs and volcanic vents. Reserve generators ensure that the base can sustain itself should its main supply of geothermal energy be cut off.
- Security Rating: High
- Defensive Emplacements

- [1] Planetary Shield (1002km range)

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Rhen Var had always been a place of ritual significance to both the Jedi and the Sith over the eons. During the Dark Reaper Crisis of the ancient Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic battled the Confederacy of Independent Systems over the tomb of the fallen Jedi Ulic Qel-Droma to glean the secret to destroying the ancient Sith superweapon once and for all.
One of the major conflict zones was around an ancient citadel and harbor, which had become a Confederate fortress during their occupation of the planet. Though they were inevitably driven off by the Republic, the Empire would soon come to replace the Confederacy as occupiers.
Another battle would take place at the citadel's summit between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance, which ended with all civilized presence being wiped out from the planet. Rhen Var would remain a desolate waste for the next eight centuries, only being occupied sparingly by whatever galactic power or local despot took control of the desolate system.
That would all change with the Silver Jedi's occupation of Rhen Var resulting in much of the citadel being repurposed as a Jedi fortress. However, with the rise of the New Sith Empire, the citadel would find itself under attack by the Emperor and his devout subjects. They would drive the Jedi from the citadel with the blaster and the lightsaber before leveling the entire structure with a systematic orbital bombardment that completely wiped the fortress off the face of Rhen Var.
In its place arose a new fortress, one even mightier and more resolute than its predecessor. It would serve as the beacon of Imperial might within the system, and serve to keep a tight stranglehold on the revered world of Rhen Var.
