Before he could even argue the princess had marched past and down the ramp. Stupid. She knew nothing of the dangers of the Galaxy. Identities could be falsified after all. Annoyed, he moved to the boarding ramp and watched Felicity talk to a small red headed woman. Pretty, but so obviously a space wizard it made his skin crawl. And then Songbird revealed his presence. Urgh. They would have words about this later. Silently, still armed and armoured he left the ship and followed the women a respectful distance behind, his hand straying to the grip of his holstered pistol.

The young princess went completely silent as she listened. Corellia. Her vision. All of it was for nothing. Such a feeling of hopelessness swept over her, She'd completely lost her appetite by that point. When she finally did speak up, it was with a voice so small and fragile that it could barely be heard over the breathing in the room.

"A-Ayden Cater.... there's no way that can be right."

How? Ayden was the hero of Naboo, the one who helped save her home. He was the reason her family was even there now. How could she behoove for a second that her hero, the man she'd looked up to as a role model in her life, could ever be responsible for the terrible thing she'd seen in her head?

"I was too late. I couldn't..." Her voice went dead in her throat as she stared down at her hands in her lap. She'd failed so badly that nothing in her life now could ever make up for it. The force had given her the tools and she'd failed.

The mayday that the Corellian Jedi Knight would be drawn to would turn out to be a different one.

This one came specifically from what appeared to be a cavern of sorts. His brow would furrow, a gust of wind trailing dust devils and sand into the air.

The way that the Force could be felt here held the distinct taste of something corrupted; perverted. What could this mean? His dark green cloak would flutter in the wind, the elder Jedi Knight moving to take the hilt of his saber into his hand.

With a press of the button, he activated the blade of viridian, basking him in a sphere of gray green light.

Using it as his illumination, the man would start to make his way into the mawl of the cavern.

Coryth's comlink beeped once more, and she glanced down to it listening to one of the com officers. "Put it through to my comlink I'll take it here."
Reaching up she could hardly help but pinch at the bridge of her nose for one too many things were happening at once, "This is Jedi Master Coryth Elaris, I am in charge of the Protectorate forces here. How may I assist you?"

Once more her comlink beeped before she really even could start that conversation. "Seraph Taldir, this is Coryth Elaris speaking. The space hulk appears to be the Invicta with Admiral Allaina Mare on board with a skeleton crew at best. The situation there is currently uncertain. However we have sent ships to aid in the evacuation of the Invicta, to bring all living crew members home. They are assumed to still be in the middle of said operation. If there is any way you can assist, please do so immediately." Coryth found herself speaking to both women at once trying as best she could to explain the situation. It was the best she really could offer them at this point. She knew so little of what was going on, on board the Invicta beyond the fact that Pirates had joined in the fray.

Her attention turned to Felicity as she felt the sudden shift in emotions, pain and confusion within the young woman. Being an Empath, certainly wasn't always fun. "I wish it wasn't so, Felicity, I do. But unfortunately the reports I've been handed today, do confirm it was him." Stepping forward, she knelt beside Felicity in her seat. "Visions they don't always come to us in time. Nor are they always accurate." A heavy sigh followed, "I entirely understand what you feel in this moment, Corellia was my home. It was my life, and now ... I may never be able to return again."

She shook her head slowly, "There is only so much you can do, and while you can train to better understand the visions that do come, the reality is you are going to see some terrible things. Some which will happen before you can even move from your bed to tell a soul. Some which will never come true. And some which you will be able to help prevent. Furthermore, the truth of the matter is, you cannot stop every bad vision from coming true. But you can better prepare to be able to act when they do." She sighed softly, "I tell you this from the experience of dealing with it for over thirty years now. I've been having visions since I was a young little girl. And perhaps, maybe I can help you with this gift when this is over, if you'll let me that is."

Anika would respond quickly; time was of the essence.

"Jedi Master Coryth Elaris -- I am patching you through to Interim Vice Admiral of the Non-Religious Forces of the Left Behind Protectorate." she would inform promptly.

A nod would be cast to the comm officer, and in seconds, it would be patched through.

"Vice Admiral Hastings -- Jedi master Coryth Elaris."

Hastings tilted his head and then looked to the holoprojector in front of him, his armored form abnormally squat compared to the men usually stuffed into such armored husks. "Master [member="Coryth Elaris"], the Lord Protector has spoken highly of you. Can you give me a SitRep?" He'd been fed bits and pieces of information since transitioning in system, but if she was in control she would be able to inform him of the whole situation.

"Most importantly, what is the status of the Admiral?"

While pirates were being pulverised in space, Caerys was for a change not meting out slaughter and breaking necks. Admittedly she would have preferred to do that, but there were no more pirates left aboard the ship. And so she busied herself with helping in the evacuation. The Invicta was going down, Omegan search teams were pushing through the dying vessel, looking for surviving members of the skeleton. Crew members were being grabbed and quickly led towards the evac ships.

Even though it was a skeleton crew, it was still quite a load that raced towards the waiting ships. Caerys for her part advanced on further, seemingly unperturbed by all the mayhem around, even as explosions rocked the ship. At least until a powerful explosion sent her flying and a chunk of ceiling dropped on top of her. With a look upon her features that looked as close to annoyed as the emotionless death machine could, she grabbed the rubble above her and threw it off, coming to her feet.

Transmission was sent to Coryth as more crewers were rushed towards the evac point in the docking rings. "Evacuation is proceeding. Mare is presumably still on the bridge, but she has not responded to communications. Structural integrity of the Invicta strongly degrading." Maybe the Admiral had changed her mind and wanted to die aboard the ship. This was not logical at all, but in Caerys' experiences organics did plenty of illogical things.

Kaida received the transmission and acknowledged the words with a curt nod, expression still as blank as ever. She knew Coryth somewhat since the short stack of fire had settled down on Kaeshana. Well, there was also that quest to destroy the evil box of doom that wished our favourite Jedi Master ill, but that thread has not been completed yet!

"Understood. I'll send evac ships to assist and provide cover if attacks occur again," she said laconically and then cut the transmission. True to her word, a few more evac ships were soon racing towards the battered and broken Invicta to help with the evacuation.

Polite conversation could wait as far as she was concerned, "Of course, sir." Coryth sighed, "Invicta popped into Orbit not long after people started disappearing across the Galaxy. Ain't a clue where she came from. We've seen evacuation ships to sweep the ship and pick up any remaining survivors. The situation on board the Invicta is sketchy at best." One more sigh, "As for Admiral Mare, we assume that their communications are now down, power failed on board soon after they .... Hold that thought, another call is coming in."

For a moment Coryth listened to Caerys, "Thanks for the update Caeyrs, keep moving and save who you can. Just get off that ship before you go down with it."

Then it was back to Hastings. "The evac team has heard nothing from Admiral Mare as they are currently moving through the ship still. She is assumed to be on the bridge, however structural integrity of the ship is failing fast. Time is off the essence now. There's also the pirates that are making things rather complicated who have also boarded the ship."

And yet another call, "Thank you Kaida. Just have your people be careful, the ship's structural integrity is starting to fail. Don't know how long she'll last at this rate." I so want a pay raise.

The viridian sphere of light would illuminate the cavern as he would delve deeper into the maw. The sound of dripping water would echo around him, damp moist soil smushing under his boots.

Every once in a while he would peer down at the small datapad with the blinking indicator of where the specific mayday call came from.

He was getting closer; but as he would continue up a head, the surrounding walls of the cavern would change. There small clusters of crystals would be rooted upon the walls.

What was this?

Meanwhile, Anika would serve to ensure that the connection between Hastings and the Jedi Master would remain secure and consistent. In the wake of the events of millions disappearing, every precaution had to be taken.

The Lord Protector was missing, the Former Lord Protector's actions on Corellia still resonated within the territory, and right now, things were certainly on shaky ground.

All they had was their devotion and loyalty, the surety that the Protectorate would continue and stand by their standards put into place from the first Lady Protector -- from when she was merely the Prex of a PMC company called Omega Pyre.

Master [member="Coryth Elaris"] was a busy woman. An extremely busy woman. Too busy to deal with an emotional teenage girl. Her offer to teach her after 'this' was all over did strike something inside her though. It was an offer Felicity would not soon refuse. Master Elaris understood what she was going through. She got these stupid often useless visions too. She could teach her to handle them. That was more than she could ever hope for.

"Thank you, Master Elaris," she said after a moment, "I will take you up on that offer. In return, I would like to offer my assistance, whatever that may mean. I am not particularly skilled in, well, anything, really. But I once looked up to Ayden Catar and wished to serve the Protectorate under him. Ayden may have changed, but my wish to help the Protectorate has not."

She tried to manage a smile, but for the moment, that was still beyond her. She needed time. Perhaps some time with @Owain. Just time alone so he could talk some sense into her. He was good at being blunt with her when she needed it. And Force knew she needed it often.

"I still wish to know the status of Naboo, however, and my Mother. What are the chances of the Protectorate reestablishing contact with Naboo within the next day or so?"

[member="Caerys Argente"] and her boarding team were evacuating the second-last wave of crew. With a ship this size, even a skeleton crew was massive; Allaina had ordered the non-crucial crew off the ship, leaving, in essence, the bridge crew to pilot the ship and a couple of engineers to maintain the reactors so that they had power going forward.

And Allaina was ready to get out of here.

"Ma'am, that's the absolute last of them. We're it," said her communications officer. The redhead nodded, taking up her own comlink and patching into the ship's network, using it to amplify her communications. All for one last transmission. The Invicta could be rebuilt... eventually. For now she had to leave her baby behind. This was her ship, her design, her command. The Admiral did not wish to leave her behind at all. But she had to.

"This is Mare. Last crew is en route to the docking rings. Don't leave without us!"

She cast a glance around to the crew that had served her vessel for the better part of a decade. Her bridge crew was evacuating, and so was she. Even now Allaina and her remaining bridge crew were headed to the docking ring. Away from this ship. Away from a massive part of her life.

[member="Allaina Mare"]

Mare and the remaining bridge crew would find Caerys as they made their way to the docking ring. Most of the evac ships had left by now, which was no surprise given how badly the structural integrity of the once proud Invicta had been compromised.

Amidst all the explosions that thundered and resonated across the battleship, Caerys looked impassive and expressionless, even with the damage she had sustained in the firefight. "Admiral Mare, I presume. Come with me. Last evac ship is waiting," she said calmly...blandly, and would then turn on her heels and lead them to the evacuation point. A transmission would be sent to [member="Coryth Elaris"] and Vice Admiral Hastings, First Captain of the Inquisition. "I have the Admiral. Evacuating."

Owain

Lord High Grand Commander Esq.
Standing behind Felicity, Owain just folded his arms and waited. This was beyond him. In terms of importance and him caring. He cared nothing for the greater galaxy or it's troubles. He owed it nothing. But it mattered to Felicity, so he would at least tolerate all this for her sake. Urgh, he truly was a sucker for the girl. And of course, the first thing she wants is information on Naboo. The raven haired youth cannot help but shake his head. When in doubt, run to her family. That seemed to be Felicity's method of doing things, despite her wishes to be free of them. Well, maybe he was missing something as to her behaviour. He knew he didn't even have the option to go back to his own family after all...
