Drinking White Lightning

It was about time.

This skill was something she coveted every time she watched someone perform it. Drawing electricity from your skin with the force? It was the one technique she desired to learn. Her master’s specialty was mind penetration, and well, other kinds of penetration. She learned from him in ways that were unconventional, and though she appreciated it, she also wanted to learn the workings of fire and lightning.

People told her she was electric, and she wanted to show them that she was.

There was one person who could teach her such things, and hey, he didn’t really know her too well but they were in the same organization together after all. She respected him, even though she did sleep during one of his little orientations.

Still.

She wanted to learn.

So she awaited his arrival at the training grounds, her dark colored boots leaving jagged prints on the dirt beneath them.

[member="Sitara Qin"] would not have to wait long. The very familiar voice of Darth Ferus called out as the red man walked in, both hands lazily behind his head. "Yo." Surprisingly, he was dressed in a simple white shirt and some blue slacks, with no shoes. A once upon a time look of Krest, Ferus had decided that this training needed absolutely nothing fancy on his part.

Save for a metal glove on his hand. The gauntlet, teaming with a darkside signature so strong some might find it suffocating, was also glowing faintly. The Sith Sword armor had been charged with lightning prior to Ferus's arrival, and the air was burning as it wanted to escape. "So, I'm going to teach you lightning the same way I was taught. It is not a pleasant thing, and you yourself will be electrocuted. Will you continue?" Apathetic blue eyes focused in on her form, but a hint of danger lingered in the air. Should she decline, he would do so anyway, but with a much more lethal intent. The unforgiving Sith Lord was showing his colors today.

He had come barefoot. The gauntlet on his hand glowed faintly. He felt different from the last time she saw him on the red island. Although he still smoke intimidatingly, she didn’t feel quite as threatened as before. Perhaps it was because there were no creepy droids on this planet, or maybe because he was coming as a teacher instead of a squad leader. Either way, she wanted to learn and she wouldn’t allow the opportunity to escape her.

He threatened her with electrocution, and in a way, she wanted to laugh. If this was how you learned then perhaps the ability was already inside her, churning. Marek had electrocuted her as they played, and she enjoyed every minute of it. That was all fun, it stimulated pressure in her limbs, in her body.

She was born ready for this.

I don’t mind.” She said, a smile on her face. She didn’t want to tell him she had been electrocuted before… And the way it happened, well, it wasn’t exactly something he needed to hear word for word.

The details, she might say, would just shock him.

Thankfully [member="Sitara Qin"] kept the details of her past to herself. Ferus, while a cold merciless killer, was also a father. And while that meant he himself has had some more personal time with another, it also meant he was a paranoid dad of a young daughter. The last thing he wanted was thoughts on what a boy would do to her, realistic or not.

So, without the thoughts in his head, he walked right up to her and tapped her with the clawed gauntlet. The jolt would be massive, fit for any master sorcerer to unleash. That was the way of the Sith Sword, to store and unleash a powerful blast of lightning right on contact. He would step away shortly after however, crossing both of his arms over his chest as he would wait to see the outcome.

It was a gentle tap; yet what sprung from the fingers of the gauntlet was something massive and powerful. A high pitched scream sprung from her lips and pierced the air. She fell to the ground, her knees stained with the moist ground. She gasped for air, her body tensing up. It was radiating all over her body, from her shoulders, to her spine, to her brain.

At first, her body felt numb, then her mind simply felt like static. Her body was twitching, as though she could not grab hold of it. It was like a snake had perforated her pores and was slithering all throughout her skin, causing herself to joint uncontrollably. She ached to claw it out, her lips fell open, as she struggled to pull the serpent that was rewiring her skin.

Her mouth was agape, and Darth Ferus would witness her eyes flashing colour from the darkest of blues, to a bright amber, to a blinding white and back again. White light would dance like jagged spikes upon her limbs and abdomen, springing from every inch of her. Her body was still convulsing, and her fingers were clawing at her skin, trying to catch the lightning.

She was in distress, yet never had she felt so whole. It was as though she was born for this part, born to wield the captivating light that flowed from all around her. It stung at her, her brain feeling like it had just been reset. The pain was indescribable, though was something she had definitely felt before.

It was the pain that she rejoiced in.

It swam through her veins like a familiar friend coming home. Amidst the zaps, it whispered to her, in a language filled with buzzing and crackling; a language that she could only understand. Was it strange that she rejoiced in such pain?

And then her finger caught it. It attached to the tips of her fingers, thin wisps of blue light that struggled as she pulled it away. It quavered, unwilling to be drawn away from its host. She gasped for air as it was slowly escaping the body that held it.

Her hand whipped to the side, her fingers pointing to a location opposite from her. The lightning sprang from her fingertips, leaping as it left her.

There was a slight nod as the girl finally seemed to recover from the initial shock. He had been almost worried [member="Sitara Qin"] was taking in too much energy. But the sudden firing of the lightning to the side offered a small amount of hope for the red man. Ferus offered a slight bow of his head to her, a sign of respect.

"You can channel outside lightning from your body into something else. It's rather impressive. This will make the next part far easier." Folding his hands behind his back, the Zabrak would give her a moment to catch her breath after this major shock to her system.

The next part?” Sitara was still clutching her pale skin; parts of her flesh tainted red from the lightning that spiralled over it. It was a different kind of sensation; she had been burnt before, she had been cut before…Lightning, lightning had shut her brain off and then switched it back again. It was as though her entire body had been reset, and if she acted a mere second too late…Well, she could’ve died.

What’s the next part?” She drew in a deep breath as her eyes met the Sith Lord’s. She could see why he lead the Sith assassins, he was silent for the most part and moved quickly but quietly. Despite for the clunky gauntlet, he could probably leave her dead and nobody would notice he’d even killed her.

Ferus removed the gauntlet, lightly tossing it to [member="Sitara Qin"] . This time, the metal was uncharged and would not harm her. At least, not yet. Both arms of the red man would cross over his chest as he would nod to the metal sleeve. "I want you to charge that. You channeled outside sources, now you're going to channel and make your own lightning. Channel your hatred, make it manifest, and you will get your sparks."

Sitara’s body tightened as the red man tossed the gauntlet towards her. It fell into her lap and she was unharmed. She held it in between her hands as Ferus told her to charge it with her own hatred. She raised her eyebrow at him and stared at the metal glove. “…Alright?

The practice sounded simple enough though she didn’t really know how to channel her hatred into it. It was a little hard for her. People came into the sith because they were angry…because they were angsty. As for Sitara? She came into the sith because she was bored. Call her fething privileged but despite not having a mom, she had a wealthy father who gave her everything she ever needed or wanted.

He wasn’t there half the time, but you could always buy love right?

Wrong.

It didn’t occur to her that sparks had already started to emit.

Her dad had cut her off weeks after she had left the academy. He said she needed to learn how to fend for herself, now that she was “independent” and all. It bothered her. He had no right. After leaving her alone for days as a kid? She had the best toys but no playmates. She grew up talking to smugglers and pirates who wanted a quick sniff before they got high.

Did she have daddy issues?

Heck yeah.

But phrik it. Phrik it all, right? Her minds stared blankly into space, her hands tightly gripping the gauntlet beneath her. She wasn’t sure that was how she was supposed to hold it, but hey, it was too late for that, right?

She was fuming, allowing her emotions and the force to come together. It was strange, but feeding the dark side of her was just a nice release. It was a sweet feeling, something she hadn’t known with anything else.

Was this the reason why she belonged here?

The gauntlet was radiating white strikes of lightning and she looked down at it. She sucked in her lip, unsure of what to do next.

"Good, good." Ferus held up a hand, this time calling the gauntlet from her grasp to have it float in midair in front of her. He could feel her anger, and whats more he could see it in her actions. With a nod, he would get her attention back onto the metal. "Focus all of that rage onto the gauntlet. Let loose all of this emotion you have stored within. Your hate, your fear. Make it into a tangible weapon to punish those who wronged you."

Ferus knew nothing on what [member="Sitara Qin"] was using as her hated memory, but what ever it could be was effective enough to show promise. Now, he would watch her, his blue eyes focused intently on what she would do next.

She rose as the gauntlet floated away from her. Strands of lightning struck at it from her fingertips, like she was a puppeteer and it was her little doll. It struck at it, just as Ferus was telling her to use her anger as a weapon. Sitara wasn’t the type of girl to rage on a normal basis, in fact, Sitara thought of herself as easy going and relatively kind.

But she had unfinished business, and she was angry about it.

The lightning from within her curled like balls of spiralling energy before hurling towards the floating gauntlet. Her eyes were flashing amber with each attack, and she could feel something dark radiating off of her.

Her rage was tumbling onto the gauntlet, as though she wanted to punish it. Punish it like she was punishing herself. There weren’t many things Sitara that could get Sitara to rage at something like this, and she was usually very good at controlling her own emotions. However, the way she had been cut off like that, the way he deserted her as a child…It was unforgivable.

If anything, it was he who deserved to be punished.

Blue eyes would watch [member="Sitara Qin"] as she went on with her blasts, unblinking. She had learned the ability well, so much so that it wasn't long until the gauntlet was filled with the energy. With a quick flick of his wrist the red man would pull the metal away from the girl, once more holding the item within his hand.

"Lightning is a powerful tool, one that there are few defenses against. But be warned, it is born of rage. You will not have a clear head when you use this skill at first, but given time you will master it like you master yourself. I suggest using it sparingly however, as it will drain you."

It was a power born out from the dark side and harnessed with dark emotions. Sitara understood that in order to further develop and control the ability, she had to learn how to control herself, otherwise, people could seriously get hurt. Of course, that was the plan from the get go, wasn’t it? It was why she wanted to learn the ability in the first place. She nodded, acknowledging this. Ferus was a good teacher and she was glad to be electrocuted again to adapt the skill. She was upset that the gauntlet was pulled away from her, but she knew it was for her own good.

I understand that.” She said, bowing her head slightly. “I thank you for teaching me how to channel the emotions from my body and convert it into lightning. This has been a very enlightening experience.” She grinned, feeling far different than she was a few moments ago.

"With time I'm sure you'll be able to channel those emotions into any number of things, such as fire or simply raw destruction. Keep up the practice, but find more.. Challenging scenarios to use them to push yourself." Blue eyes glanced over [member="Sitara Qin"] for a moment, only to look off as the red man turned to leave. There was nothing else for him to show the female at this point, and he was sure she wanted to play with the skill some more.

Though probably in a very different manner from what Ferus was thinking.
