I believe Mandal Motors actually has an excellent construction droid series. Made by Rach in times past I believe.

You know whats cheaper than droids? Slaves.

Just sayin'
I'd don't know about that. Food + water + livable shelter IMO is > Electricity + Closet. Plus you don't have to hire overseers or deal with 'tude. Not to mention a decent mechanic can use broken droid parts. If Five Droids expire you can the parts and sell them or repair them to get 2-3 droids back. If 5 slaves die you just have bodies to dump.

See i don't know about that. I would think that construction droids especially are SUPER expensive to initially purchase, not to mention the repair costs that would end up being created(machines break down a lot). I think Slaves would still end up being cheaper, especially if you don't care about their well being.

A good example of this in canon would be the Death Star. Both Death Star's were reportedly mostly built with Slave Labor, Wookiees, Humans, Dissidents, etc... Granted the Empire didn't buy their slaves, simply took them from planets they owned but my point kind of stands since they couldve just taken the construction droids as well but clearly chose slave labor. Apparently in the Star Wars universe its just more cost effective to use slaves.
