Droids A La Carte [Siobhan Kerrigan]

"Aye, the Jedi can do lasting damage, more often than not." the Hapan agreed, then let her palate taste more of that wine. Her glass was almost empty, so she rose from her seat to give them both a refill. The bottle was half-gone and they haven't even had anything to eat. Nonetheless, Tionne was far from tipsy. She was the kind of person who held in their liqour rather well.

"Unlike my kindred, I do admit some dark powers can be rather useful." she admitted, feeling free to voice her opinions which are usually considered heresy among other Jedi - "Takes quite the character to resist the power of the dark side. I've threaded such a path far too many times, in the eyes of the Council. Meddling with people's minds is not exactly in line with the Jedi Code."

Thanewulf returned into her seat and sat back, glass once again finding its way into her hand.
"But one does not choose their talents; you are dealt your cards at birth. A Hapan such as myself will never be a formidable Djem So practicioner. But I am far from useless in the war against the Sith. Or at least I like to think so."
Thanewulf blinked upon realizing she was just talking about herself for the past couple of minutes. How rude.

"Do you have family?" she inquired, genuinely interested in Siobhan's life. Almost efortlessly, the topic of conversation became far more intimate, only because Tionne felt that a seamless transition was possible. Before Lady Kerrigan even had time to reply, the waitor returned with two plates of fried shrimp with asparogous and carrot.

"Bon apetit!" the waitor said upon placing food on the table, then anxiously watched Lady Kerrigan and her verdict on the meal he brought. The Jedi woman hated most of seafood, but the dish smelled lovely. Several weeks passed since she had a proper meal, which meant some serious self-restraint imposed not to devour the contents of the plate like an animal. Instead, she lifted the fork ellegantly and ever so lightly stabbed a crispy shrimp tail.

It was quite possible that Siobhan was a bit biased in her expectations. Nonetheless, it still came a slight, albeit pleasant surprise to her that Thanewulf did not seem to mind her snipe against the GA's Jedi Order. Then again, the lithe Hapan had so far consistently displayed that she possessed a mind of her own and was not averse to straying from archaic orthodoxy.

Otherwise she would have probably not sought out the Countess. An orthodox Jedi would have considered her confession heretical to Siobhan it was pleasing. Thanewulf had directed the conversation back to herself, but Kerrigan did not seem to take offence. After all, the Hapan was quite interesting!

"I don't see much of a difference between maiming someone on the battlefield with a lightsabre or taking him out by messing with his mind. Either is very unpleasant." There was a slight sardonic edge to her voice. "I've got a very good friend who, aside from healing, specialises in offensive mentalism and I've never met a gentler soul than her."

Yes, Siobhan, we understand you're a massive [member="Coryth Elaris"] fangirl. "It's common sense to play to your strengths." And then, just as Tio brought up family and the conversation drifted into more intimate waters, the waiter arrived. Delicious smells filled the air and invaded Sio's nostrils when the feast was placed before them.

Fortunately, Siobhan had by now learned something like grace and proper table manners, after having come from the gutter. So rather than gourge herself upon the food she helped herself to a piece of shrimp after cutting it and ate it, before eating part of a carrot. Cocking her head slightly towards the waiter, she gave the anxious man an approving nod. "Very nice," she said politely before turning her attention back to her food.

However, she soon paused to get back to Tionne's question. "Yeah, I have family. [member="Tegaea Alcori"] is my wife. OP's former Lady Protector, we've been together for more than ten years and run Firemane together. And we've got three adopted daughters: Galina, Natoline and Abaigeal. Lovely girls," she spoke every name with a strong note of fondness, lips curving into a smile.
