Droids and Starfighters (TSA Dominion of Ord Cestus and Agamar)

Purpose of post: Update on Jairdain

The living conditions of Jairdain were comfortable even if she was a captive. She had a bed to sleep on, a place to shower, prepare food and eat. However, she had little else in the room.

Clean clothes were provided for her as she needed them.

Her weapon had been taken from her upon capture. She was given or had to take a drug that kept her severed from the Force. It kept her in the dark and if the drug started to wear off, sithspawn would come out of hiding and hiss at her until she took the drug again.

Her time spent was lonely and she had few visitors.

All in all, her captivity was not bad and she was treated well.

No hand had been raised against her, but being kept without the Force meant she was entirely blind. In the dark, all alone.

The flash of lights came to an end whenever the 2 ships exited hyperspace. The blonde woman stood on the bridge, staring out into the vastness of space with the only dots of colour coming from friendly ships located in the sector and the planet of Agamar.

"We've arrived ma'am." Of course they had, though the courtesy of being re-assured and stopping Zhara from going into madness.

"Put me on a line to.. Krest?" she paused. Usually he did not involve himself in space, he was more a hands-on type of guy. Just... strange. "Yes, do that. I expect our opposition to arrive shortly, also inform the escort frigate to pull ahead of us, no point in taking any direct damage. These toys are expensive after all."

The ship's communication officer nodded with a grin before carrying out the task.

On Krest's screen, a blonde Captain would appear on a knee before continuing to speak. "My lord, Captain Romodanovsky with the Ascendancy navy. I believe you are in charge of this operation from a naval perspective. Do you have any specific orders you wish to be carried out?"

Smoke rose to the sky from the shores of an unnamed beach of Agamar. Or, it was probably named by someone. Just not anyone Ameli knew, or cared to know frankly. What a mess this place was. Her first impression hadn't been too great, considering her view of the planet had been slightly distorted by smoke and fire. But it pretty much summed up how she felt. That, and pain. So much pain.

Smooth landings does not make for good pilots. Wait, that wasn't it, was it? Nevermind.

Ameli wasn't sure if she had passed out or not. The rapid descent, the impact, everything had left her fairly disoriented. There was a distinct tingling of the Force that warned her of danger, but it had been yelling in her ear only moments before. She had survived the landing, but it wasn't over yet. The ship, submerged in water and leaking badly, was taking her down and fast.

She wished she had time to unstrap from her pilot's chair, take a gander at her makeshift wardrobe and pick out something classy. Yet there was no time. She felt the familiar taste of iron, knowing she was bleeding but not sure from where. Her first step had her drop straight onto the floor, every bone in her aching. It was only with the aid of the wild the fires of the Force that she managed to get up again. She refused to give in to this.

Why the kark did I even bother to shower, she thought to herself, wading through water that already reached her knees. Ameli had only just managed to wrap the dark robes commonly associated with the Sith around her, and tied it together with her utility belt when the water came crashing through and flooded the ship in its entirely. It wouldn't have been her primary choice under any other circumstances, but at least to make the robes a touch less boring she had sown onto it patches of red and pink roses. Fabulous.

Taking a deep breath, she prepared to wait out the strongest currents before swimming out. Ameli would eventually make her way out from the doomed hull of a stolen ship, and make for the surface. At this rate it was only the path of the ship and a minor torrent of bubbles that told her which way was up. She could only hope it wasn't far.

Lark's eyes lit up with delight upon hearing that the Jedi had come to play, and a sinister grin took over his face. He had never fought against one before, never had the chance to play his little games with them. And now, there they were! He could see them through the glossy windows on the viewing platform. Now, what persona to adopt? Do I keep the one I'm currently enjoying, or revert back to my more common personality? Chances like this don't come around all that often.

That's what he did. While he was still enamored with the thought of finally fighting against these Jedi he had heard so much about, he let his excitement dim. His aura became less energetic, but a beast's ferocity was still present. His eyes still burned like the stars, but also were as placid as a pond. A soft smile replaced the feral grin. Some might mistake the sudden change in personality as nervousness, but those who had dealt with him knew this to be when he was at his most dangerous.

He stayed nearby his Master, he had no experience when it came to flying starfighters and would rather not be blown into the endless void of space. Now then, let's see what happens next.

The blonde Vahla gasped for air and rolled over onto her back. The swim to shore had been hard, and the water cold. She knew she should heat herself up, use the Force to rejuvenate herself. But she didn't want to. All she wanted to do was to rest, to sleep.

Deep down she knew she couldn't. She knew she had to fight it. But did she have to fight it now? Just five more minutes... Heavy breathing. She had suffered and struggled this far, and as much as she felt she deserved to catch a break, she knew she couldn't. Not yet. It would be like deciding not to swim halfway to the shore.

Ameli closed her eyes, eased her breathing and worked herself into a meditative state. She sensed the Force all around it, and she drew it in, bending it to her will, corrupting its waves to integrate with her body and cells. At least that's how it felt. An ocean of ice cold darkness seeping into her veins and boiling within her. How could something be hot and cold at the same time? The Dark Side was an enigma.

To tap into her anger was easy enough, she always carried some. Now after getting shot at and crash landing her new catch down into the ocean of some unknown rock? Yeah, anger came easy. Another series of moments would pass, but she felt her mind clear, the sensation in her fingers and toes returning to her. She felt out of the woods. Ameli let go. And then came the pain. She gasped sharply with surprise, clutching at her stomach for a lack of a better thing to do as she rolled over onto the side, coughing as if that would take the pain away.

Deep breath. She was better than this. She took the pain within, accepting it, reigning it in under her control again. It was not fun, but it was a cool reminder that the path she was on was not a fun one. To power, to the Dark Side, to realising her potential. Making progress was hard. But even here, on the beach of Agamar, with a broken body and ruined ship, Ameli was still here, making that progress.

The Dark, both darkness itself and the metaphysical concept of the Force, was often fear for what feelings it stirred within the hearts of even the strongest men and women. It brought fears from the depths of their subconsciousness, prevented them from finding distractions to focus upon so as to ignore the whispers of doubt and primal emotion that writhed for their attention. It conjured images of what may be surrounding them, hidden from their perspective. But, the one thing it did that everyone feared the most, was make you think and make you confront who you were. That was why the Dark Side of the Force thrived on emotion; it truly thrived on the person fully accepting themselves. However, when they chose to try and conquer the Dark Side, that was when they lost themselves.

But then, when one walked in the Dark, not tried to control it but lived within its grasps, that did not mean that they were truly as isolated as they may, at first, see themselves as being and that was true for Jairdain also. For even though no physical body stood within the same room as her, she would be able to feel the sensation of sight baring down upon her and the ghost of a breath running along the back of her neck, a breath that did not exist and stirred no hairs upon her skin. As, even though she had lost her link to the Force the same could not be said for the Force Bond between Lykos and Jairdain and, as such, he stood behind her in spirit, a mind projected across space and a weight upon her mind as he twisted his way through the blockage created by the Force Inhibitors through a previously created path into her soul itself.

"How are you today Zireal?" Zireal, the name that Lykos had given Jairdain on Iridonia, the Ul'Zabrak word for Sparrow. "Has sight returned to you yet? Are you ready to see?" The hissing words would fall from none-existent lips as the invisible to all but the mind of Jairdain and spectral form of Lykos would kneel down in front of her. The pressure of a hand resting against her cheek that was not there would register to her senses as he leant in slightly. "The Dark only asks that you feel, that you see the galaxy for what it truly is. I only wish to open your understanding and help you see again." A heavy sigh would rumble within Jairdain's mind before his voice returned. "I must go know, business calls after all. Think on my questions, Zireal."

The weight upon Jairdain's mind would fade as Lykos retreated from the Force Bond.

A single, slightly glowing amber eye would snap open as Lykos' consciousness returned to its physical shell, bones creaking slightly from the time he had been kneeling in one place as he pushed his body up into a standing position. Groaning beneath his breath slightly as sore muscles stretched uncomfortably, taking the luxury to do so knowing that only his Hand could possible see or hear him do so, Lykos turned and pulled on his standard, black robe over the leather plate armour he wore and the weapons that adorned his form. Pulling the cowl of the robe up as he did so, casting his face into shadows so that only his chin could be seen, Lykos span and exited the small chambers that served as sleeping quarters for himself upon the small, Stygium-Cloaked Interceptor.

Stepping into the cockpit, Lykos settled into the unoccupied seat before turning to stare at the woman that was currently piloting the Interceptor down through the atmosphere of Ord Cestus. Tiae'kheta Bhenjwa, also known as Darth Gvibir, was a human woman that he had taken into his service on Queyta, stealing her away from the Jedi and assisting her in realising her full potential; potential that the Jedi would have seen destroyed as they would have sought to extinguish the flames of passion that burnt just as hot at the very flames that had scarred her and taught her true pain. Since that day, she had served as his loyal Hand, his agent to use as he saw fit, his Loyal Shadow. And, during that time, she had picked up some of his habits, particularly the habit of using false personalities nearly all of the time.

The pair of them were currently descending towards the surface of Ord Cestus with the purpose of preventing the Force Hunters from re-activating the Jedi Killer droids that could be found on the planets surface and turning them against the Sith. However, just because that was his official goal, that did not mean that his intentions were solely that. He was going to be attempting to, rather simply, obtain the Blood of these Force Hunters through whatever means necessary while Gvibir had been tasked with obtaining the archaic schematics and information of the Jedi Killer droids.

"ETA?" Lykos's gruff voice would suddenly break the silence between Master and Hand, emotionless and stoic as he focused on the here and now of what they were going to be doing, serious and prepared. "10 minuets." Gvibri's soft, almost doll-like voice would respond almost immediately.

Silence would once more fall within the cockpit as neither party saw it fit to speak.

Jairdain had no concept of time or how much had passed since her capture. She slept when she was tired, ate when she was hungry, meditated in her spare time. When she was visited by her captors, she would respond to their questioning and still remained as resolute as she could. Without knowing how much time had passed, she wondered if the words she had spoken to Krest were true, she had no idea if a rescue was coming. She clung to her belief it was and while she felt so very alone, remained strong. She was blind without the Force and now had only the darkness to look forward to.

Over the course of her captivity, she had been taking the drug required to keep her severed from the Force. She took it only when the hissing began and unbeknownst to her allowed a seed planted by Lykos to move ever deeper into her mind and their soul connection. She did not feel this seed as it worked every closer to breaking through the blockage the drug provided. Through the already established connection, he was able to communicate with her, but without the Force, she could not him. Unless they were in the same room, she could only listen.

Whatever day this was, Lykos paid her a mental visit. Everything was mystical and nothing physical. Through their bond though it almost seemed real to her. She felt his gaze before he spoke to her, his breath on her neck and saw in her mind as he knelt down in front of her and reached out his hand to touch her cheek once again. The tenderness in how he treated her almost brought tears to her eyes. Though there was no romance in their relationship, he was one she could cling to in this situation.

His words spoken went straight to her mind. He asked if she was ready to see again and that was what he desired. The truth as she saw things was different than his truth, but there were some points on which they agreed. As he spoke, she would try to answer him, but his business pulled him away. His only request that she think on his questions.

As suddenly as he had been there, Lykos was gone. His presence disappearing now left an empty spot in her mind and room. Alone again in the dark, Jairdain laid down on her bed and cried.

This time she had passed out. Fortunately for her it was from exhaustion, and all she needed to recover was rest. Had she given in before she could not be sure to have woken up again. Those thoughts had once called for a different kind of sleep. But she was beyond that now.

Ameli got up to a seated position, a grunt of pain confirming that her body was still well battered and bruised. And cold. She was cold. It was hardly a shock, crawling out of that ship all wet and falling asleep in drenched Sith robes. It wasn’t as if she had the luxury of drying them up either. Had it not been for her connection to the Force, and its rejuvenating presence, she might’ve succumbed to injury and nature still. Yet Ameli had passed that now.

She was rapidly recovering, as a proper Sith lady should. Or was she a so-called Dark Jedi these days? It was hard to tell. If she ran into any Sith on her way, she would be sure to ask.

Finally she was up on her feet again. She tried to orient herself using the sky, but it was an unfamiliar one. All she could really tell was that a lot of time had passed since that initial crash. Probably. Paying attention to this kind of stuff wasn’t exactly her speciality.

On her way down she had not been able to think to look for civilisation either. All that had been in her mind had been that ocean for a smooth landing. It had been anything but smooth, but she was still here. What could she complain about?

“It should be around here” “These are not our coordinates.” “No, those are in the ocean, you numbnut.” “Then why did they send us to investigate on landspeeders?” “Oh will you shut it? It’s… I… Actually yeah, I don’t know” “Right? It’s like-” “Don’t worry about it. Just do your job and look for the damn thing so we can get back to base.”

Oh for kark’s sake…

Darth banshee had heard that sith intend to help people remove force hunters, and take the planet of them. This please her, and she was more than ready to help. She planned to land droid army on the planet, and then attack the fighter bay hangers. She also had some squadrons of fighters, to give them air support. The plan was simple enough, but for this she had a new ship. A troop carrier, it a thousand meters long support ship. The ship had in it's she had twenty four eagles hangar bays, and sixteen droid carrier tanks. This would give her an assult force, as well extra droids on her ship. Gave her two thousand droids to help with the attack, as the last load on she set off into space.

As the ship made orbit, it met up with the rest of her fleet, and set off to make hyper jump. Her ship where making lines, and soon would come out to assit her fellow sith.
