Dusty Tomes (Jack Anderson)

As he fired the shot through the man's head, Grace gave a twisted little smile. He was ruthless to those who betrayed him, and his wrath was swift. He could be a powerful Sith. She shook her head, the quick motion flicking her hair wildly to one side. No. No more Sith. She couldn't trust anyone else with that power. He spun, leveling the blaster at her. Her blade instinctively flicked upwards, the line of crimson held simply between her and the soldier. This was her test as much as his, to see how she would treat him.

"The temple tests all those who could benefit from the knowledge held here." She spoke with an authority, and without a hint of fear. She'd had blasters pointed at her face before. "They cannot test your philosophy, and you show no power in the Force, so they resorted to testing your resolve." She paused, studying him for any reaction. "After all, what was the one thing you couldn't stand to give up?"

Jack was beyond mad, he was karking furious, the rocks that were floating around him started to shoot out in all directions, books began to fly off the shelves, and the room started shaking.

Jack began to shout "TEST! THIS WAS ALL A TEST!" His voice started to distort "ARE YOU KARKING FOR REAL!"

The pressure came back quickly and overwhelmed him, Jack fell to a knee and tried to speak, but he was too weak and he collapsed on the floor, unconscious.

The somber, guarded look on Grace's face changed into one of surprise as one of the loose stones flew past her face, her eyes flashing closed as she flinched away from the rock. "Jack..." She began, her voice measured, reaching to his mind to try and calm him down. The Dark Side could be very dangerous to everyone involved, espically to someone who didn't understand it or have control. The woman had been very careful to keep in control for most of her life, and only rarely did she allow her rage to take control. When she did, it was only when she had no other options.

Or when she was too worn down to resist it.

He managed to make a mess of the hall before passing out. She was glad there wasn't more destruction, but there was still the problem of what to do now. Sighing, she did her best to pick him up, only to realize she lack the physical strength to move him. She reached for her comm, dialing into the standard Dominion frequency. As she raised it to her mouth, she heard it again.

Shaking her head, she replied, "Nu gal ra jostas anas" He was too valuable for him to die in some ancient temple. Sighing, this time louder, she propped him up on the wall, and headed to sit back in her chair.
