The marketplaces along the cobblestone roads held food, clothing, baubles, and other unique trinkets that would be a rare find in the countryside. Spread throughout the city would be small to average sized homes, the only large homes being by the oceans and on the outer regions of the city.
Vondone Beach - With many beach-side residences and activities to do, Vondone Beach is the most visited beach on Ealia. It's not uncommon to fish and sail in the clear, blue ocean, or simply relax on the sand. The beach is cared for, its caretakers making sure the water and sand aren't contaminated. Not only home to Ealians, Vondone Beach also has the highest population of Bandara than any beach as well. These creatures live peacefully on the sandbars without disturbing those who visit the beach. HISTORICAL INFORMATIONEarly Beginnings:
Unknown to many, laying in the Outer Rim was a system that would soon be called Edis. Inside this system was a planet, Ealia, alone other than its orbiting moon, a planet that could support life. With vast forests and oceans, it would be a perfect destination to build cities and villages, which in time it would be. Its geography would be perfect fishing, farming, and Ealia was only home to two types of creatures: Bandara and Fynock, two creatures which would pose no threat or challenge to anyone looking to settle on Ealia, which travelers eventually did.
This planet was created by the impact of two planets, the pieces of rock forming the earliest stage of Ealia. At this time, Ealia had a Type IV atmosphere, making it near impossible to breathe. Loose rock and dust would easily drift off into space due to a weak gravity field. Weather on Ealia was very extreme and unpredictable due to its weak atmosphere.
Through time, Ealia developed a stronger gravity field, its rock not drifting into space. Shortly after this, small earthquakes began to occur all over the planet, water spilling through, allowing for bacteria to form. This bacteria was able to develop the Type I atmosphere Ealia has today. Weather was much less extreme, light rains, snowfall, and the occasional thunderstorms.
After time, Bandara and Fynock covered the planet, Ealia's two native species. Bandara would gather around the sandbars of Ealia, feeding on detritus. Ealia's other native species, Fynock being high-flying birds lived in the taller forests.
Discovery and Settlement:
Ealia was discovered by a colony ship in 408 ABY, tasked with bringing the colonists to a new planet in the Outer Rim. After searching, the ship found Ealia, a planet with no trace of human life before. The planet was covered with vast oceans, forests, and sprawling plains that would provide necessary resources for survival. The abundance of wood and stone made constructing the first settlements of Ealia extremely easy, knocking down one challenge of settling on Ealia. With the extra supplies they were able to bring on the colony ship, the settlers were able to get a head start in this newly discovered planet. After cultivating the land and developing architectural, agricultural, and political skills the settlers were ready to uphold a government.
The government that was formed in the early settlement was a Monarchy, as many of the colonists had before been under one. Then, there was only an estimated two hundred colonists until more had started to arrive. The government they had was weak, but the society they had built was flourishing. The citizens of Ealia had their own set of unique skills, allowing for the development of their technology, transport, better structures, and enough food for each citizen. Citizens would be able to often visit the oceans, which were scattered across the planet, the only problem was the Bandaras that would make the most irritating of noises. Ealia's population at its height during the time grew to a couple thousand people. Then the unthinkable happened...
The Four Hundred Year Darkness:
Some years after Ealia's settlement in 408 ABY, the Gulag Plague was first released on Csilla and the galaxy was on alert. When it started to spread, widespread panic ensued the galaxy. Ealia, being in the Outer Rim fell to the Gulag Plague with very few healthy on the planet. Ealia had a very small population to begin with, readying Ealia to be lost. With governments dissolving in the Outer Rim at that point, including Ealia's, people were forced to fend for themselves, battling the plague without leadership. Not only was the plague a problem for Ealia's citizens, but without their government, they had no way to control rationing. It was every man for themselves, a galaxy in turmoil.
At the end of this all, it was thought that the galaxy had died, a complete void. Even with the chaos however, there were survivors, willing to lead and change the galaxy forever. Ealia by this time had been wiped out, the only remaining life being the two native species Fynock and Bandara who had gained immunity to the disease.
Aftermath:
After the Gulag Plague passed, new factions began to rise across the galaxy. Ealia had no human life existing, having been wiped out from the plague. Hope for not lost for civilizations on Ealia however, as many tourists remembered the beautiful planet. In time, people began to show up on Ealia, restoring the once amazing civilization that was built before the darkness and chaos. Within time, the people had fully restored Ealia to its former glory, granting them to establish a stronger government with more people supporting them than before. With the help of architects and engineers who assisted in creating technology to speed up the construction of housing units, Ealia was able to hold a population of fifty thousand people. At this point, Ealia had almost thirty thousand people supporting the establishment of a Monarchy.
To create the Monarchy, the people chose a couple, Jacen Marr and Tayla Marr. Two leader figures who had political, they were nominated and made to be the King and Queen of Ealia. These two monarchs were able to protect their planet, creating an army, and beginning the construction of a navy. Taxes were placed on citizens, food was provided, and with the construction of more markets and workplaces, most of the population was able to get a job. Buildings were becoming more complex, and more products became available from standard technology. Ealia's cities were flourishing once again, and life for citizens in Ealia was peaceful and secure. After Jacen and Tayla Marr's deaths, the throne was passed down to Sola Marr, the current ruler of Ealia.
