- Description: The Expeditionary Corps began as a form of punishment under a previous governor until the rule of Darth Anathemous who converted them into a fighting force her city could be proud of. Like their dark lord, they committed themselves to excellence in the eyes of the Sith Order, having seen the lengths Sith would go to achieve victory during the siege of Echnos, knowing the only way to become more than cannon fodder was to become too useful to waste. Though they carry no banner but that of the sith, These expeditionary soldiers were recognized by the heavy filtration masks they wore, which had since become a symbol of Echnos. They were given the name "Wastewalkers" by their people, and known for the rough lives they led in the trenches outside their city.

- Combat Function: Wastewalkers were Trench warfare and Toxic environment specialists typically deployed in grueling defenses or to storm hostile fortifications. Conditions on their toxic and barren homeworld saw them develop tactics around attrition and the high quality technology for which their planet was known, employing numerous grenades in sweeping assaults aided by reconnaissance drones and artillery, or stationary shields and overwhelming firepower to hold off the enemy. Wastewalkers commonly assisted their imperial allies by building archaic yet no less complex trench and bunker networks, or by sharing live-feed intel from probe droids and advanced scanners.
- Force Abilities: N\A
- Filtration Masks: Wastelakers wore heavy duty filtration masks to survive the nitrogen rich atmosphere of their homeworld, leaving some afraid to remove their masks even on the cleanest worlds. They were toxic environment specialists, well suited to chemical warfare.
- Trench Warfare: Living in a barren wasteland with few structures or flora to speak of, Wastewalkers developed tactics around the use of trench and bunker networks and guerilla warfare in the desert via tunnels. They were equally skilled at defending them as they were attacking.
- Robophobic: The tech dependent culture of Echnos instilled fear of replacement by automation, breeding a distrust, if not hatred, of droids within the Wastewalker ranks. With the exception of probes, they rarely worked alongside droids and even less often did they communicate with them. Droids which could speak were specially irksome.
- The Force: Learning well from civil war, the Sith did nothing to prepare these soldiers to face Jedi nor Sith. They were cannon fodder to most, trained only to face enemy soldiers and to keep moving, leaving the terrifying Jedi to their Sith masters. In the end, they were only a distraction.
The Expeditionary Corps began as a form of punishment under the previous governor, PDF soldiers in need of discipline who were sent out to patrol the wastes of Echnos and dig trenches without rhyme or reason. When Darth Anathemous was made governor however, that all changed. Echnos city soon prided itself on it's networking perimeter of trench lines and bunkers constructed by their very own "Wastewalkers", having since become a symbol of Echnos City, and a proud fighting force under their dark lord.
Their identity was shaped entirely by their homeworld and it's relation to the eleventh Sith Empire. It's nitrogen rich atmosphere instilled a fear of unfiltered air and almost paranoid use of breath masks at all times, such that to see the face of an Echnosian soldier outside the dome city was rare, no matter the battlefront. The terrain shaped them too, it's barren wastes suited to nothing but trench warfare and factorial dystopia, which forced them to adapt with archaic tactics around trench warfare to compensate for the lack of natural cover, and the use of advanced technology to defend and even assault hostile trenches or technological facilities.
