I mean, that seems tedious and, IMHO, would just lead down a rabbit hole of links. Isn't the whole point of something modular that it's, well… modular? I'm a little confused as to why multiple links would reduce confusion when I already have everything in one place.

The eggs I’ve listed are just examples of what you can do. Theoretically, you could mix and match different materials from the material section to create unique eggs.

I have a similar submission for small grenades that latch into a gauntlet. Each tiny grenade is a different color. So far nobody has had any confusion with that and it's just a singular link instead of different factory links.

Could I perhaps rearrange the layout I have of my current eggs? Or recolor the text and a more eye-catching way sort of making each one their own unique section more visible?

I could make a link for each specific type But I feel that doing so is kind of repetitious and I think ultimately would be messier to have like... 7 or more links for something that has the same basic mechanical usage for how it deployed when it is just modular?

Many people have pointed out that it is confusing to keep different items in one place and it is difficult to know what someone has used or not used, which is why John introduced this rule last year before the holiday. So I'm sorry, but you should definitely separate the different types or keep just one.

To be honest, I don't see why it's modular (it's several types of items, not one item that can be used in many different images), because A and B will only become AB, never C. So if you want a different egg, you have to change the materials in it and make a completely different egg. It would be modular in this case if all the materials were in the Egg and you had to set the effect when activating it. Or as an example, a weapon mount is modular because it remains the same weapon mount but you can put it on different vehicles, ships, etc.

So you can see that every egg here is a different item, has a different effect and is good for different things. I'd like to ask you again to post them separately and delete the variations from this post, and please pay attention to this in the future, because we will no longer accept them in one piece.

I would like to take a moment to bring up some concerns regarding this process. The way the current system requires separate submissions for each variation has significantly increased the workload on my end. Specifically:

• Time & Effort – The process added an extra four hours of work, which is a considerable burden.
• Physical Strain – The repetitive back-and-forth aggravated my carpal tunnel, making the experience frustrating and physically taxing.
• Information Processing – As someone with dyslexia, parsing large amounts of information in separate posts rather than in a single, well-structured format is significantly harder to manage. Additionally, my ADHD makes it difficult to focus when there are multiple scattered posts instead of a single, consolidated submission. Constantly shifting between them makes it harder to retain and compare details efficiently.
• Forum Clutter – I feel like my repeated submissions flooded the Factory area, unintentionally burying other people's work under what is essentially multiple versions of the same thing.

I don't expect staff to know all of my challenges, but when I first structured this submission, I was trying to strike a balance between clarity, readability, and efficiency. My approach kept everything concise, in one place, and easy to reference, ensuring a smooth process while cutting down unnecessary time spent on what is, at the end of the day, just a quick reference for an object's concept to be used in RP with an accompanying image. The request to separate every variation has instead added complexity rather than reducing it and feels like it prioritizes a hypothetical clarity issue over practical usability.

However, I would still appreciate clarification on which rule specifically requires separate submissions for modular variations. I reviewed the Factory Rules but couldn't find anything that directly supports this requirement. Could you please point me to the exact rule so I can better understand the reasoning?

While I understand the intent behind separating variations, I believe this approach creates more problems than it solves:

• Modularity doesn't just mean combining things into something entirely new—it also includes flexible and adaptable designs.
• A system that allows interchangeable parts for different functions is still modular.
• Requiring separate submissions adds unnecessary work for both the submitter and the judge, as the variations are often extremely similar.

Would it be possible to explore clearer formatting options that allow multiple variations within a single post while maintaining readability? This way, users could compare options at a glance rather than having to dig through multiple links, which seems needlessly tedious and frustrating to navigate.

I truly believe that keeping variations together would improve clarity rather than cause confusion, making it easier for users to see the differences in one place.
