SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Contains infrared, optical, GPS, and satellite targeting which can be switched between by the operator
  • Can fit a wide variety of warheads

Strengths:
  • Anti-Infantry: Can be used to great effect against infantry with either explosive or incendiary warheads, utilizing both to cause maximum damage to ground formations and open emplacements.

Weaknesses:
  • Anti-Vehicle: While ion warheads can be equipped to disable enemy vehicles, the EGM-3 lacks sufficient penetration or explosive power to do much damage to even moderately armored ground vehicles.
  • Heavy Fortifications: The warheads carried by the EGM-3 are ineffective against fortified positions such as bunkers and heavy walls, providing scratch damage against particularly strong defenses.

DESCRIPTION

While particularly powerful concussion missiles are present on certain EODD defense units and projects, such weapons were deemed to be far too expensive for widespread use against ground forces. Thus the EGM-3 was developed as a cost-effective air-to-ground missile system. Using a primary loadout of a high explosive warhead the EGM-3 is guided by user-controlled infrared, satellite, GPS, and optical guidance methods to designated targets at high speeds over long range, dealing significant damage to grouped infantry in the open or at the very least scattering them to clear a path for friendly ground troops. Once the missile destinations are determined and the warheads are fired they cannot be redirected, and will continue on to the targeted location. Of course given the size of each missile its warheads are too small to cause much damage to vehicles, but it can be equipped with ion warheads to disable vehicles, as well as incendiary warheads for use on enemy troops and area denial.

Unless I am blind, I cannot find the image you utilized in the wikipedia article, and I couldn't find it using reverse image searching.

Can you define whether or not the warhead is able to change it's target destination once it is fired.

[member="Raiz Australis"] the image was one I found on google image search, since the wiki didn't have a picture of the actual missile. I changed the image source to the forum where the image is apparently from, and added a line in the description explaining that the missiles cannot be redirected once fired.
