[member="Nick Sept"], I disagree with the use of creating clones specifically for the purposes of warfare, and would do all in my power to prevent the Republic from authorizing such things. Growing people for the purposes of sending them to kill and die seems rather horrible, and I want no part of it, thank you.
As to the current spate of high-profile lunacy, I fear there is little we can do but remain vigilant. I've no intention of encouraging paranoia or mandating psychological evaluations to try and determine if someone is going to execute a swan dive of the board of reason and into a pool of churning turmoil. I'll also add that a vote for Jack Sparrow is a vote for sense over pretense, and new thinking over old ways. Let us join legs and kick politics as usual to the curb, says I, and here's to brighter days.

I also disagree with the use of clones, for me the belief is if a clone is created it becomes its own unique presence, even though its been given life through an artificial process it has it's own soul, its own purpose, in essence it's own life.
I can't see taking that life from them for military purposes for denying them rights that others take for granted just because they were conceived differently. It may be a childish view.
AS for the high level lunacy, this is where Jack and I agree. There's no way of telling what the future holds we have to remain vigilante, and question the questionable actions, or react to the insane actions as quickly as possible and initiate damage control. It's like that old children's toy Jack-in-the-box, you turn the music until it jumps out of the box. We will keep being politicians and turning events, and deal with them when they jump out of the box.

Looking forward to it. I've been in the Senate for a long time and as expected, I have to vote with what works best for me. I don't want to end up stabbing myself in the foot. But there are aspects of both of your campaign promises that I like, and certain viewpoints that I agree with and respect.

The clone army currently still fights and maintains loyalty to the republic now that the chips giving authority to Genevieve have been disabled. Given that the clones have shown courage to safeguard the citizens of the republic on Chazwa, Roche, and Contruum. Would you allow the clones to continue service to the republic since they wish to remain active duty due to the losses of their fellow siblings at the hands of the Sith and Techno Union.

The Jedi are unique with their individual talents. However if there are Jedi that want to divide their time between their Order and serving in a position in the Republic I would welcome them, I'd like to see a Jedi as liaison between the Senate and the order. Any senator should feel they are able to request Jedi protection when needed.
As for protecting our borders we need more than strengthening our numbers, building ships, and having the latest technology. Though I have said we need to look to some of the new companies as well as work with the companies who have long standing relationships with the republic to ensure we have top of the line technology to arm our military with. We need to also settle our internal strife and present a strong United presence to those that would cross our borders. I would like to find a way to create an alliance with the other organizations who fight against the Sith. I admit that I would need the help of all the republic to accomplish thus in asking what are we willing to give to gain allies? And yes I know many have said it. But there comes a point where we have to be successful.

Spaarti creations who is still contracted with the republic offers Ysalamir, Terentatek hide, and every canon Yuuzhan Vong weapon and biot. The Directorate Will be actively producing warships for the republic without fail. Our organization will usher in a new more advanced fleet to defend not only the Republic but all Light side governments. We will also offer Fleet support when needed from our own fleet reserves.
